  • This paper shows the IUIa charging characteristics of charging pattern for industrial lead-acid battery. PSCAD/EMTDC simulation model is developed for studying the IUIa charging characteristics for micro-source, and control the charging current and charging voltage for each section of IUIa charging pattern.

정수기용 압축기의 안전성 평가 및 소손 패턴 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Safety Assessment and Damage Pattern of Water Purifier Compressors)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for the safety assessment of a water purifier when water leaks due to inappropriate maintenance and the examination of the cause of accidents related to the leak. Due to its inspection and management by non-specialists, if a leak occurs in a water purifier with the water level controller being inclined, it may result in the failure of the compressor, power supply line, PCB, etc. The analysis of the thermal diffusion pattern of water purifier compressors using a thermal image camera shows that its maximum temperature was approximately $80^{\circ}C$. In addition, its operating current was a maximum of 13 A and the system's operating current was approximately 1.7 A after the compressor was charged. It was found that the housing type power cable cover of the compressor had the effect of preventing electric shock but has poor flame resistance. Furthermore, the performance of the overload protector, PTC relays, etc., was excellent but they have potential for problems as metallic terminals were exposed, resulting in the potential of a safety related accident. The terminals and their surface damaged by the tracking showed a trace of carbonization and the resistance between terminals was measured to be approximately $8{\Omega}$. In addition, while the tracking was proceeding, the fuse and circuit breaker installed for system protection did not operate.

전자기력을 이용한 압인 패턴 성형의 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study of Pattern Emboss Forming using an Electromagnetic Force)

  • Electromagnetic forming(EMF) is one of the high-speed forming methods, and has been used to deform metal sheets. The advantages of electromagnetic forming are reduced wrinkling due to non-contact characteristic and fine formability because of the high speed impact. In the current study, we suggest the application of electromagnetic forming to emboss pattern shapes using electromagnetic forces with only one forming coil and one punch. The high impact of the sheet at speeds of 100~300m/s produces significant coining pressure. In the current paper, electromagnetic forming was applied to Al 1100-O sheets; with thickness of 1.27mm and an area of $40mm{\times}40mm$. Using a single spiral coil, totally different types of patterns were created. Four different patterns were successfully produced on the aluminum sheet. The length and depth of the patterns were measured by three-dimensional scanning. Comparisons to the die shape showed good agreement. The test results confirm that emboss pattern forming by EMF using a single die can be used to replace the costly conventional method.

  • 본 논문에서는 시가지 마이크로 셀에 적합한 직사각형 방사 패턴을 갖는 이동통신 기지국용 배열 안테나의 설계 방법을 제안하였으며, 직사각형 방사패턴을 만들기 위해서 수정된 Woodward-Lawson 법을 사용하여 여진 전류를 계산하여 설계하였다. 안테나의 패턴을 확인하기 위하여 주파수 2 GHz 대역에서 12 배열로 스트립선로를 사용하여 전력분배 및 급전하였고, 안테나는 평면형 모노폴을 배열하여 전력 분배기와 안테나를 일체화시킨 형태로 설계 및 제작하여 제특성을 측정하였다. 패턴 측정 결과 단변과 장변이 5 dB 차이 나는 원하는 직사각형 빔 패턴을 얻을 수 있었다.

  • 전력사용 시설물은 사고시 대지에 전류를 흘려 보내고, 시설물의 손상, 화재와 인체의 감전 충격을 방지하기 위해서 반드시 효과적인 접지를 하여야 한다. 본 논문에서는 Pattern Search법을 이용하여 접지시스템의 최적의 각종 파라메터를 구하고자 한다. Pattern Search법을 이용하여 구한 파라메터를 입력으로 하여 시뮬레이션한 결과 최적의 접지 시스템을 확인하였다.

  • Micro-scale surface pattern has an benefit of tribological application under lubricated sliding contact. Therefore, a special pattern, that has to reduce the coulomb friction under contact, is considered to be necessary for improved efficiency of machines. The current study investigated the friction property of angle effect for micro-scale grooved crosshatch pattern on bearing steel surface using pin-on-disk type. The samples fabricated by photolithography process and then these are carry out the electrochemical etching process. We discuss the friction property due to the influence of hatched-angle on contact surface. We could be explained the lubrication mechanism for a Stribeck curve. It was found that the friction coefficient depend on an angle of the crosshatch on contact surface. It was thus verified that micro-scale crosshatch grooved pattern could affect the friction reduction.

국내 디자이너브랜드 업체의 패턴업무 실태 분석 - 입체재단을 중심으로 - (An Analysis of Pattern-Related Works of Designer's Brand in Korea - for Draping -)

  • The purpose of the study is to identify the designers' and the patterner's pattern making, draping and the use of dress form in domestic companies of designer's brand to present basic information for effective pattern works. It turned out that the designer brand companies at home use flat pattern and draping at the same time rather than draping only The effects of the use of draping lies in unique designs and elastic materials, which seems proper phenomena for the current design trend such as high duality and diversification. But, draping has such problems that the pattern takes long time to be finished and that the staffs don't acquire well the needed skills due to the lack of draping education. To secure the high added value of fashion, it is required to develop education programs for new skills and to apply draping actively. Also, it requires an educational system in which practice oriented skills are cultivated, and efficient investment into apparel business.

  • The current study investigated the friction property of angle and width effect for micro-scale grooved crosshatch pattern on SKD11 steel surface against bearing steel using pin-on-disk type. The samples fabricated by photolithography process and then these are carry out the electrochemical etching process. We discuss the friction property due to the influence of a hatched-angle and a width of groove on contact surface. We could be explained the lubrication mechanism for a Stribeck curve. So It was found that the friction coefficient depend on an angle of the crosshatch on contact surface. It was thus verified that micro-scale crosshatch grooved pattern could affect the friction reduction. Also, it is play an important a width of groove to be improved the friction property. I was found that friction property has a relationship between a width and an angle for micro-grooved pattern.

NPC 인버터에 의한 유도전동기 구동시스템의 새로운 히스테리시스 전류 제어기법 (New hysteresis current control for induction motor drive with NPC inverter)

  • 본 논문은 NPC 인버터의 구조를 위한 유도전동기 구동 시스템의 새로운 히스테리시스 전휴 제어기법을 제안하였다. 이러한 NPC 구조를 가지는 히스테리시스 전류제어 인버터의 구조는 각상의 인버터 출력전압을 제어하는 주 스위칭 소자와 주 스위치 OFF시에 출력전압을 0전위로 유지시키기 위한 보조 스위칭 소자로 구성된다. 이와 같이 제안된 HNPC (Hysteresis current controlled Neutral Point Clamped) 스위칭 기법은 1차, 2차 전류밴드를 가지며, 전압스위칭 신호는 1차 밴드와 실제전류의 비교 결과로서 발생하고, 2차 밴드와 실제전류의 비교 결과는 전압 스위칭 신호의 상위와 하위를 스위치의 동작을 결정하는 신호로서 동작한다. 이러한 스위칭의 결과로서 제안된 인버터 시스템의 출력 파형은 기존의 전류제어 방식과 비교하여 적은 고조파 성분의 함유특성을 가지고, 동일한 전류밴드 범위에서 낮은 스위칭 주파수를 가진다. 본 연구에서는 제안된 기법을 유도 전동기 구동 시스템에 적용하므로 이들 특성을 시뮬레이션을 통하여 고찰하였다.

Smart pattern recognition of structural systems

  • Structural Control relies, with a great deal, on the ability of the control algorithm to identify the current state of the system, at any given point in time. When such algorithms are designed to perform in a smart manner, several smart technologies/devices are called upon to perform tasks that involve pattern recognition and control. Smart pattern recognition is proposed to replace/enhance traditional state identification techniques, which require the extensive manipulation of intricate mathematical equations. Smart pattern recognition techniques attempt to emulate the behavior of the human brain when performing abstract pattern identification. Since these techniques are largely heuristic in nature, it is reasonable to ensure their reliability under real life situations. In this paper, a neural network pattern recognition scheme is explored. The pattern identification of three structural systems is considered. The first is a single bay three-story frame. Both the second and the third models are variations on benchmark problems, previously published for control strategy evaluation purposes. A Neural Network was developed and trained to identify the deformed shape of structural systems under earthquake excitation. The network was trained, for each individual model system, then tested under the effect of a different set of earthquake records. The proposed smart pattern identification scheme is considered an integral component of a Smart Structural System. The Reliability assessment of such component represents an important stage in the evaluation of an overall reliability measure of Smart Structural Systems. Several studies are currently underway aiming at the identification of a reliability measure for such smart pattern recognition technique.
