  • A novel low-voltage CMOS current feedback operational amplifier (CFOA) is presented. This realization nearly allows rail-to-rail input/output operations. Also, it provides high driving current capabilities. The CFOA operates at supply voltages of ${\pm}0.75V$ with a total standby current of 304 ${\mu}A$. The circuit exhibits a bandwidth better than 120 MHz and a current drive capability of ${\pm}1$ mA. An application of the CFOA to realize a new all-pass filter is given. PSpice simulation results using 0.25 ${\mu}m$ CMOS technology parameters for the proposed CFOA and its application are given.

  • Ultra Lift Luo Converter (ULC) gained considerable research interest in recent years. The stability analysis of voltage mode and peak current mode controlled ULC in continuous conduction mode is analyzed in this paper. The Eigen value theory is used for the stability analysis of voltage mode controlled ULC. Then to characterize the dynamics of inner current loop, the expressions of closed loop transfer function and loop gain are determined. An algorithm has been developed to analyze the stability of the peak current mode controlled ULC. The theoretical results are correlated with the simulation results obtained using PSIM 9.1(SMARTCTRL 1.0) software. Finally it is proposed to fabricate a prototype and validate the performance by suitable experimental setup.

  • This paper propose a variable parameter estimations for variable over current load of five-phase squirrel-cage induction motor(IM) to servo control system. In order to high performance control of AC motor using a field oriented control(FOC) and direct torque control(DTC) algorithm, there are required precise motor parameters for slip calculation, flux observer, controller gain, torque command of current components, rotor position, speed estimation, and so on. We are suggest a analyzed estimation results of the motor parameters that developing five-phase squirrel-cage IM have a stator of concentrated winding for experimental within variable over current load at rated input frequency. There are results of stator winding measurement, no-load test, locked-rotor test, variable over current load test, and estimated parameters of equivalent circuits using manufactured experimental apparatus by IEEE Standard Test Procedure for Polyphase Induction Motors and Generators 112-2004.

  • Two existing continuous-time models for the current-mode control have presented noticeable differences in their small-signal predictions. As an attempt to clarify the origin of these disparities, this paper presents an alternative way of deriving a continuous-time model for the current-model control. The results of this paper would provide insights to comprehend the dissimilarity in the modeling method and final results of the earlier models of current-mode control models.

  • The channel of the superconducting Flux Flow Transistor has been fabricated with plasma etching method using ICP. The ICP conditions were 700 W of ICP power, 150 W of rf chuck power, 5 mTorr of the pressure in chamber and 1:1 of Ar : Cl$_2$, respectively. The channel etched by plasma gas showed superconducting characteristics of over 77 K and superior surface morphology. The critical current of SFFT was altered by varying the external applied current. As the external applied current increased from 0 to 12 mA, the critical current decreased from 28 to 22 mA. Then the obtained r$\sub$m/ values were smaller than 0.1Ω at a bias current of 40 mA. The current gain was about 0.5. Output resistance was below 0.2 Ω.

  • The switched reluctance motor(SRM) has been increasingly used in high-performance servo applications such as electric vehicles, aircraft, and direct-drive robots. The dynamic equations of SRMs are, however, highly nonlinear and this makes it difficult to control SRMs with high performance. In this paper, we propose a new robust current tracking controller for SAMs which can compensate the nonlinear characteristics of SRM(i.e., back-emf and inductance) completely and hence shows perfect tracking performance even with an arbitrary small current control loop gain. Furthermore, even in case that there exist some model uncertainties, our current controller guarantees that the stator currents can track the reference current commands with sufficiently small tracking errors. In order to justify our work, we present the tracking performance analysis and some simulation results.

  • In this paper, we present the simulation of the heterojunction bipolar transistor with different Emitter-Base junction structures. Our simulation results include effect of setback and graded layer. We prove the emitter efficiency's improvement through setback and graded layer. In 1995, the analytical equations of electric field, electrostatic potential, and junction capacitance for abrupt and linearly graded heterojunctions with or without a setback layer was derived. But setback layer and linearly graded layer's recombination current was considered numerically. Later, recombination current model included setback layer and graded layer will be proposed. New recombination current model also wile include abrupt heterojunction's recombination current model. In this paper, the material parameters of the heterojunction bipolar transistor with different Emitter-Base junction structures is introduced.

  • This paper proposes phase current reconstruction techniques for two-phase two-leg and two-phase four-leg inverters using a single current sensor. In the proposed methods, one phase current is sampled simultaneously with a particular branch current by using only one current sensor, and then current reconstruction algorithms are applied to extract the information on two phase currents from the sensor output. The sampled current information is periodically updated at the peak and the valley of the triangular carrier waveform in each switching cycle of pulse-width modulation (PWM). The voltage vector spaces where the phase currents can be reconstructed are evaluated. Compared to the existing method using two individual current sensors in two phases, the proposed schemes can save implementation cost since it is possible to remove one current sensor. In addition, the proposed methods are free from gain discrepancy issues between two current sensors. Simulations and experiments show excellent current reconstruction performance of the proposed methods.

  • A problem that arises in most communication receivers concerns the wide variation in power level of the signals received at the antenna. These variations cause serious problems which can usually be solved in receiver design by using Automatic Gain Control (AGC). AGC is achieved by using an amplifier whose gain can be controlled by external current or voltage. However, the AGC circuit does not respond to rapid changes in the amplitude of input. If input changes instantaneously, then even if op-amps could follow the change, the envelope detector capacitor could not, since the capacitor's voltage could not change instantaneously. To alleviate this deficiency, we present Improved Automatic Gain Control Circuit (IAGCC) replacing AGC circuit to FLC.

  • This paper presents a single switch, high step-up, non-isolated dc-dc converter suitable for renewable energy applications. The proposed converter is composed of a coupled inductor, a passive clamp circuit, a switched capacitor and voltage lift circuits. The passive clamp recovers the leakage inductance energy of the coupled inductor and limits the voltage spike on the switch. The configuration of the passive clamp and switched capacitor circuit increases the voltage gain. A wide continuous conduction mode (CCM) operation range, a low turn ratio for the coupled inductor, low voltage stress on the switch, switch turn on under almost zero current switching (ZCS), low voltage stress on the diodes, leakage inductance energy recovery, high efficiency and a high voltage gain without a large duty cycle are the benefits of this converter. The steady state operation of the converter in the continuous conduction mode (CCM) and discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) is discussed and analyzed. A 200W prototype converter with a 28V input and a 380V output voltage is implemented and tested to verify the theoretical analysis.
