The high-altitude and mobility characteristics of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have made them a key element of new radio systems, particularly because they can exceed the limits of terrestrial networks. However, at high altitudes, UAVs can be significantly affected by intercell interference at a high line-of-sight probability. To mitigate this drawback, we propose an algorithm that selects the optimal beam to reduce interference and maximize transmission efficiency. The proposed algorithm comprises two steps: constructing a user-location-based fingerprint database according to the user types presented herein and cooperative beam selection. Simulations were conducted using cellular cooperative downlink systems for analyzing the performance of the proposed method, and the signal-to-interference-plus-noise cumulative distribution function and spectral efficiency cumulative distribution function were used as performance analysis indicators. Simulation results showed that the proposed algorithm could reduce the effect of interference and increase the performance of the desired signal. Moreover, the algorithm could efficiently reduce overheads and system cost by reducing the amount of resources required for information exchange.
To acquire the essential basic data to the establishment of control measure for the hazardous health effect that could be caused by harmful metals, the author measured the concentrations of trace metals in whole blood of women of $20{\sim}39$ years old living in urban and rural area using atomic absorption spectrophotometer. The summarized results were as follows; 1. The mean concentration of zinc in whole blood was $10.69{\pm}8.07{\mu}g/ml$ in rural area. The frequency distribution by zinc concentration level was nearly L-type and the cumulative frequency distribution was showed bimodal type in both area. 2. The mean iron concentration in whole blood was $323.09{\pm}87.15{\mu}g/ml$ and $322.07{\pm}104.74{\mu}g/ml$ in urban and rural area, respectively. The frequency distribution was similar to normal distribution type in both area, but the cumulative distribution was unimodal type in urban area and bimodal type in rural area. 3. The mean magnesium concentration was $41.08{\pm}19.58{\mu}g/ml$ and $40.28{\pm}16.82{\mu}g/ml$ in the area, respectively. The frequency distribution type had skewness to the right and the cumulative frequency distribution was unimodal type in both area. 4. The mean copper concentration was $1.417{\pm}0.761{\mu}g/ml$ and $1.375{\pm}0.743{\mu}g/ml$ in the area, respectively. The frequency distribution type had skewness to the right and the cumulative frequency distribution was bimodal type in both area. 5. The mean manganese concentration was $0.079{\pm}0.039{\mu}g/ml$ and $0.07{\pm}0.058{\mu}g/ml$ in the area, respectively. The frequency distribution type had skewness to the right in both area but slight irregular in rural area and the cumulative distribution was unimodal and bimodal type in urban and rural area, respectively. 6. The mean cadmium concentration in whole blood was $0.031{\pm}0.026{\mu}g/ml$ in urban and $0.028{\pm}0.023{\mu}g/ml$ in rural area. The frequency distribution type had skewness to the right and cumulative frequency distribution was bimodal type in both area.

Static strength and fatigue life scattering of glass fiber reinforced epoxy composite materials has been studied. Normal, lognormal, two-parameter and three-parameter Weibull distribution functions are used for strength and one-stress fatigue life distribution. The value of mean fatigue life is analysed using mean fatigue life, mean log fatigue life and expected value of 2 and 3-parameter Weibull distribution functions. Modification on non-statistical cumulative damage models is made in order to interpret the result of two-stress level fatigue life scattering. The comparison results show that 3-parameter Weibull distribution has better predictions in static strength and one-stress level fatigue life distributions. However, no advantage of 3-parameter Weibll distribution is found over 2-parameter Weibull distribution in two-stress level fatigue life predictions. It is found that two-stress level fatigue life prediction by the expanded equal rank assumption is close to the experimental data.

For an inverse double Weibull distribution which is symmetric about zero, we obtain distribution and moment of ratio of independent inverse double Weibull variables, and also obtain the cumulative distribution function and moment of a skew-symmetric inverse double Weibull distribution. And we introduce a skew-symmetric inverse double Weibull generated by a double Weibull distribution.

Interval censored data often occur in an observational study where the subject is followed periodically. Instead of observing an exact failure time, two inspection times that include it are available. There are several methods to analyze interval censored failure time data (Sun, 2006). However, in the presence of competing risks, few methods have been suggested to estimate covariate effect on interval censored competing risk data. A sub-distribution hazard model is a commonly used regression model because it has one-to-one correspondence with a cumulative incidence function. Alternatively, Klein and Andersen (2005) proposed a pseudo-value approach that directly uses the cumulative incidence function. In this paper, we consider an extension of the pseudo-value approach into the interval censored data to estimate regression coefficients. The pseudo-values generated from the estimated cumulative incidence function then become response variables in a generalized estimating equation. Simulation studies show that the suggested method performs well in several situations and an HIV-AIDS cohort study is analyzed as a real data example.

In this paper, a simple step-stress accelerated life test (ALT) under progressive type-II censoring is considered. Progressive type-II censoring and accelerated life testing are provided to decrease the lifetime of testing and lower test expenses. The cumulative exposure model is assumed when the lifetime of test units follows an extension of the exponential distribution. Maximum likelihood estimates (MLEs) and Bayes estimates (BEs) of the model parameters are also obtained. In addition, a real dataset is analyzed to illustrate the proposed procedures. Approximate, bootstrap and credible confidence intervals (CIs) of the estimators are then derived. Finally, the accuracy of the MLEs and BEs for the model parameters is investigated through simulation studies.

The evalution of the cumulative distridution function of the noncentral $X^2$ distribution required in approxi-mate determination of the $X^2$ test. Many approximations to the cumulative distribution function of the noncentral $X^2$ distribution have been suggested. However, in selecting an approximations both simplicity and accuracy should be considered. In this note we compared various approximations in terms of accuracy and efficiency.

The distribution characteristics of data retention time for DRAM was studied in connection with the probability distribution of the cell parameters. Using the cell parameters and the transient characteristics of cell node voltage, data retention time was investigated. The activation energy for dielectric layer growth on cell capacitance, the recombination trap energy for leakage current in the junction depletion region, and the sensitivity characteristics of sense amplifier were used as the random variables to perform the Monte Carlo simulation, and the probability distributions of cell parameters and distribution characteristics of cumulative failure bit on data retention time in DRAM cells were calculated. we found that the sensitivity characteristics of sense amplifier strongly affected on the tail bit distribution of data retention time.
Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to confirm whether stocks belonging to the distribution industry in Korea have reversals, following large daily stock price changes accompanied by large trading volumes. Research design, data, and methodology: We examined whether there were reversals after the event date when large-scale stock price changes appeared for the entire sample of distribution-related companies listed on the Korea Composite Stock Price Index from January 2004 to July 2022. In addition, we reviewed whether the reversals differed depending on abnormal trading volume on the event date. Using multiple regression analysis, we tested whether high trading volume had a significant effect on the cumulative rate of return after the event date. Results: Reversals were confirmed after the stock price shock in the Korean distribution industry and the return after the event date varied depending on the size of the trading volume on the event day. In addition, even after considering both company-specific and event-specific factors, the trading volume on the event day was found to have significant explanatory power on the cumulative rate of return after the event date. Conclusions: Reversals identified in this paper can be used as a useful tool for establishing a trading strategy.
As a certain job is repeatedly done by a worker, the outcome comparative to the effort to complete the job gets more remarkable. The outcome may be the time required and fraction defective. This phenomenon is referred to a learning-curve effect. We focus on the parametric modeling of the learning-curve effects on count data using a logistic cumulative distribution function and some probability mass functions such as a Poisson and negative binomial. We conduct various simulation scenarios to clarify the characteristics of the proposed model. We also consider a real application to compare the two discrete-type distribution functions.
