This study was conducted to examining the socio-cultural impact of the COVID-19 pandemic that swept the world around 2020, and the transformation of norms and social problems due to COVID-19. For this, the characteristics of changes in the socio-cultural norms of the 14th century European Black Death, a representative example of the pandemic, were derived, and based on this, the COVID-19 pandemic was analyzed. The Black Death served as an opportunity to change social norms based on the existing religious authority and the power of the feudal system to the Enlightenment. The population declination and labor shortage also promoted commercialization and mechanization. Printing, which spread during this period, led to the popularization of knowledge, which raised the level of thinking and led to epochal scientific development. This became the foundation of the Industrial Revolution. Like the recent Black Death, COVID-19 has triggered changes in social norms. The technological environment of metaverse, a mixture of virtual and reality, has changed the norm of a consistent identity into free and open identities exerting various potentials through alternate characters. In addition, meme, which are about people being friendly to those with the same worldview as him on the metaverse, weakened the sense of isolation in non-face-to-face situations. Artificial intelligence (AI), which developed during the COVID-19 pandemic, has entered the stage of being used for creative activities beyond the function of assisting humans. Discussions were held on what new social problems would be created by the social norms changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
[ $D{\'{e}}formation$ ]is one of the most important cultural factor which puts people at ease and gives a sense of security. This study, in the process, analyzes the works of Moschino. Moschino's designs are rated to have approached the sublime when it comes to transforming the psychological anxiety of everyday living into a laughter. After selecting one hundred-two of Moschino's designs from the Internet Web site(www.cft.or.kr, www.samsungdesign.net), this study examines and analyzes the characteristics and types of deformation found in them. The result as follows. The examination of deformation found in Moschino designs can be classified into a transformation, distortion, exaggeration, and illusion. Transformation, a conscious change of the existing form or function, was shown as the change of an existing position, form, function and designation of a new function. Distortion, an interpretation away from the reality or a "wrong interpretation," was shown by placing opposing factors in left-right position as an extreme asymmetry. Exaggeration, always beyond the realm of reality, was shown thorough an enlargement or a magnification of a specific part and a repetition of a detail factors. Illusion, through a distortion of reality results in something that looks new, was expressed through the effects of wearing a two-pieces, an expression of details, effects of wearing accessories, and an expression of a dynamism. Therefore, Moschino has reflected the desire of homo modern to transform the existing situation through many techniques of deformation.
The article concerns the continuity and transformation of the cartoon strip for the musical performance. Recently, the cartoon strip has been considered as a resource for creating the musical performance. However, There are a few articles on the relationship of the cartoon strip and the musical performance. In this respect, the article seeks to examine the characteristics of the cartoon strip and the musical performance in terms of planning system, storytelling structure, character formation and marketing strategies. The case on the musical entitled 'The Great Catsby', which is rooted in the cartoon strip entitled 'The Great Catsby', is examined. As a result, on the one hand, the characteristics of the cartoon strip has continuously affected the process of creating the musical performance in terms of storytelling, character formation, stage management and the marketing activities. On the other hand, the musical performance considers the music and sound, the moving image and stage management, performance of the actors as an essential part in comparison with the cartoon strip. In addition, the musical performance simplifies and recontructs the cartoon strip according to the principles of the musical performance.
To set efficient transformation system in chrysanthemum, thirty-four chrysanthemum (Dendranthema grandiflorum Kitamura) varieties were collected and cultured for shoot regeneration. Five varieties, ‘Shuho-no-chikara', ‘Zinba', ‘Baekma', ‘Pink pride' and ‘Keumsu' of them were selected, because they had a high shoot regeneration efficiency. MS medium containing 1.0 mg/L NAA and BA respectively was very adequate for shoot regeneration in those varieties. MS medium with 3.0 mg/L NAA and 1.0 mg/L kinetin in ‘Shuho-no-chikara' and the medium with 0.5 mg/L NAA and 3.0 mg/L BA in ‘Keumsu' were also suitable for shoot regeneration. The most efficient callus induction and shoot regeneration were obtained on MS medium. Shoot regeneration was enhanced more than 8% on MS medium with 0.3% phytagel and 10-15 mg/L putrescine. The best cultural material for shoot regeneration was stem. When stem was used as a culture material, shoot regeneration rate was increased more than 26% and the days to shoot regeneration was shortened about 14 days.
This study reviews the process of creating the patterns through the Christopher Alexander's books to discover the fundamental rules for creation of the pattern language. The essential ideas of 11 rules describing the characteristics of the pattern language are organized by keyword depending on the characteristics of each rule. Then, this study analyzes which keyword was applied importantly and how it had been developed chronologically in the Alexander's books. As a result, 5 keywords - reflection of cultural difference, reflection of human desires, solving the repeated problem, function suitable for principal purpose, and network structure - are applied to his early books in which the pattern language was theoretically developed, the pattern of traditional society was discovered and the network structure was developed. Another 5 keywords - user participation method, new problem solving, structure preserving transformation, post-mechanization method, and central invariant structure - are applied to the books in his mid-term after completion of the pattern theory which discover new pattern for contemporary society and apply the pattern language to time and space. In his later books which organize the theory of pattern language and suggest the direction for using the pattern language, 5 keywords - wholeness, post-mechanization method, user participation method, new problem solving, and structure preserving transformation - are applied. Users may use the pattern language more precisely if he/she considers the keywords of the early period in searching the patterns of existing environment, the keywords of the intermediate period in searching the patterns of new environment or in regard to time and space, and the keywords of the later period in considering direction of the application of the pattern language.

Gogol sought out a space, Italy, which is obviously a turning point for the writer. Here in Italy, the writer could be able to explore an essential foundation for the national identity as well as self-identification of Russian traditional culture, all of which have already been epitomized in the Renaissance period in Italy. The city Rome itself provided Gogol with its grandness and harmonious perfectness, influencing something 'spiritual being' upon the writer. The work under discussion, "Rome," is thus created through these literary circumstances. Though it is made under the different title as "Annuntiata" and it delivers a love story between lovers, the story lines gradually turned into a fiction about the city, Rome. In comparison with city Paris, Gogol himself presents a negative view of the French metropolitan, saying that it is nothing but a by-product of the 19th century civilization. Interestingly enough, Rome for Gogol is totally different; it is the place of sublimity, that is a locus of harmonious, holy, and eternal city. Likewise, this pattern can be said of another description on the two contradictory cities: Paris and Rome. Again, Gogol fully pictures the city Paris as centripetal and Rome as centrifugal, in which the main protagonist makes the reader indulge in his own world. Throughout the story the writer tells us a transformation experienced by his character, and the work ends with an open denouement. Like Jerusalem, Rome is the city of resurrection for Gogol. Yet, this kind of possibility of transformation in the story is exposed to the hero, and it arguably depends on the extent to which he explores the readiness for encountering of 'eternity' in this "eternal city."

In most countries, public libraries have played a role as a hub of knowledge and information, complex culture of local communities, and a third place for meeting and communication. And recent public libraries are focusing on enhancing their core competencies and expanding services using digital technologies to meet the era of digital transformation and the 4th industrial revolution. However, after the COVID-19 pandemic occurred, all public libraries are repeatedly closed, reopened, and partially closed, and all resources are devoted to providing non-contact, digital and online alternative services, and are expected to continue in the future. As a result, future public libraries are bound to face a trilemma in which digital expandability, complex cultural space, and importance as a place of knowledge and information service are conflicting. This study discoursed on the public library trilemma in the post-COVID-19 era and suggested ways to overcome it. The orientation of the future public library is the fusion and harmony of multiplicity and multipurpose, place and space, knowledge & information and complex culture, face-to-face service and remote service. The main body of a public library is not the finger (digital and non-contact), but the moon (knowledge information center).
The Seokgatap pagoda composed of mainly alkali granite and other minor pink-feldspar granite, fine-grained granite, granodiorite, diorite, gabbro, and tuff. Despite the small loss and damage derived from joints, its peel-off and exfoliation are serious enough to cause the heavy deterioration on the stone surface. The chemical and petrological weathering has partly replaced the original rock-forming minerals with clay minerals and iron oxyhydroxides. Based on the petrogenesis, rock materials of the pagoda is very similar to rocks of Dabotap pagoda and the Namsan granite in the Gyeongju. The central fart of the pagoda has sunken highly, which caused all the corners to split and the structural transformation to become worse. The reverse V-shaped gaps between the materials have broken stones filled in a coarse way. The iron plates inserted between the upper flat stone laid on other stones and tile pagoda body in the north and east side has been exposed in the air and corroded, discoloring of the adjacent stones. The overall diagnosis of the Seokgatap pagoda is the deteriorated functions of the stone materials, which calls for a long-term monitoring and plans to reinforce the stone surfaces. But the main body including the pagoda roof stone needs washing on a regular basis, and the many different cracks should be fixed with glue by using the fillers or hardeners designed for stone cultural properties after removing the cement mortar. In case of the replacement of the stone materials with new stones, it's necessary to examine the pagoda for the center of gravity and support intensity of the materials. The structural stability of the pagoda can be attained by taking a reinforce measure in geotechnical engineering and making a drainage. The ground humidity, which has aggravated weathering and structural instability, should be resolved by setting up a humidity reduction facility. The contamination of lichens and bryophyte around the pagoda and on the surface is serious. Thus biochemical treatments should be given too in order to prevent further biological damages and remove the vegetation growing on the discontinuous planes.
The purpose of this study was to find out the presentation of food and cooking process shown through the media and its cultural implications by comparing and analyzing seasons 1 and 2 of , tvN's reality program which has gained high viewer ratings and sympathy from the viewers. In light of the existing documents, the research reviewed the social and cultural meanings implied through a series of processes of "the act of cooking- the act of providing food - the act of having a meal."The authors concerned narrative structure of the program, paradigmatic analysis, actantial analysis, and analysis by applying the culinary triangle of $L{\acute{e}}vi$-Strauss were conducted, in order to find out the difference between seasons 1 and 2 of the . As a result of semiotic analysis on the programs, by focusing on the value of composure and slowness which may be felt through the simple everyday lives and travelling by running a Korean restaurant in a foreign country, the reality program revealed the changed consumption behaviors for Korean food, and the evolutionary process of cooking and the act of providing food reflecting the above. Meanwhile, the transformation of the Korean food may mean the "statelessness of Korean food" hidden under the name of localization or globalization. Furthermore, although the program intended to put up globalization of Korean food, the uniqueness of the Korean food wash armed, and this is the reason why it needs to be examined whether Korean food was used simply for entertainment in the program. Also, the program showed limitations such as drawing cultural inferiority as the motive for watching the program.
The aesthetic attitude, in general or in particular, represented in matters of taste through aesthetic ideas and value judgments postulates a certain literary logic. And this literary logic reveals itself a sense of morality, philosophy, or moral aesthetic consciousness through the moments of act and thought demonstrated in the characters invented in literary works. Henry James, among many others, offers a very special cultural paradigm for transnational argument because of his diverse ways of shaping transatlantic relations in terms of aesthetic consciousness. And this international paradigm produced varied expressions referring to Henry James as "an American expatriate," "an Anglicized American artist," "a Europeanized aesthete," "a cosmopolitan intelligence," "a bohemian cosmopolitan" to designate his literary career and its characteristics shaped in Europe. Such expressions resonate with Transatlantic Sketches, James's first collection on travel and cultures in 1875 which heralded his long "expatriation" in terms of self-distantiation. James's temperament of mind, far from being always identified with shared values within an ideological framework, never avoided friction with fixed ideas but rather absorbed it fully for another friction which intervenes in his house of fiction. My question arises here regarding his cultural belonging or dislocation: where is the place of his mind or what could be his ultimate destination? In this essay, I'd like to define a place or rather the place of James's literary mind by proving a certain "sympathetic justice" for his literary logic. For this purpose, I'll try to examine: how James used transatlantic perspective, a spatio-temporal assessment to formulate his moral aesthetic consciousness; and how the aesthetic framework functions in assessing his literary logic of aesthetic consciousness. To start with the first argument, I'll analyze some essential aspects of aesthetic attitude of his characters to postulate a persona capable of theorizing James's aestheticism conditioned by the transatlantic context. And for the second argument, I'll examine how the persona functions in formulating a proper cultural stance of James's aesthetic consciousness in transatlantic perspective to illuminate the way of how Jamesian individuality reflects the American mind. This process of theorizing a place of James's own will lead, I hope, to our discovering James's ultimate destination on the assumption that it'll prove or create a certain "sympathetic justice" for his humanist aestheticism, a Jamesian absolute morality.
