  • This study develops metadata elements based on the FRBR model for effectively managing and retrieving intangible cultural heritage records. Since intangible cultural heritage has a logical layer from its concept to a physical record that realizes the concept and it can be expressed in diverse formats such as video and audio, it is necessary to represent such rich relationships. Therefore, this study suggests a set of metadata elements at each of the four levels (work, expression, manifestation, and item) the FRBR Group 1 presents.

  • Fifty ancient Korean coins originated in Choson dynasty have been determined for 9 elements such as Sn, Fe, As, Ag, Co, Sb, Ir, Ru and Ni by instrumental neutron activation analysis and for 3 elements such as Cu, Pb, and Zn by atomicalsorption spectrometry. Bronze coins originated in early days of the dynasty contain as major constituents Cu, Pb and Sn approximately in the ratio 90 : 4 : 3, where as, those in latter days contain in the ratio 7 : 2 : 0. Brass coins which had begun in 17century contain as major constituents Cu, Zn and Pb approximately in the ratio 7 : 1: 1. The multivariate date have been analyzed for the relation among elemental contents through the variance-covariance matrix. The data have been fur theranalyzed by a principal component mapping method. As the results training set of 8class have been chosen, based on the spread of sample points in an eigenvector plotand archaeolgical data such as age and the office of minting.

  • In recent years, outdoor camping has garnered increasing attention in China, especially in the later stages of the COVID-19 pandemic and with the rise of the "glamping" concept, making camping a popular sector in China's tourism industry. As the camping industry has rapidly developed, issues with camping products in the Chinese market have also become apparent. Most of the existing camping products are from foreign brands, and even the products from domestic camping brands often resemble their foreign counterparts, lacking creativity and cultural distinctiveness. Camping products embody different lifestyles and states of being and also serve as a means of cultural inheritance from various regions. They represent a temporary "home" for campers in the outdoors. Currently, there are few camping products on the market that incorporate cultural elements into their design. To allow campers to experience and spread regional culture while camping, this paper will study Hui-style architectural culture, understand its essence, and, based on an analysis of the current market camping chairs' design, color, and materials, as well as consumer survey results, extract elements of Hui-style architecture. These cultural elements will then be integrated into camping chairs through design, enabling camping products to become carriers of regional cultural characteristics.

  • It is crucial to measure meteorological elements in relation to the biodeterioration of building cultural heritages. The Beopjusa and Seonamsa temples located respectively in Chungbuk and Jeonnam provinces, Korea, exhibit biological damage to the building cultural heritages and cause noticeable climatic differences. To compare biodeterioration environments of the abovementioned temples, 10 meteorological elements were observed, and particulate matter (TSP) was collected at each location. Furthermore, a correlation analysis was conducted between meteorological elements, and between meteorological elements and TSP. The local meteorology at Beopjusa temple characteristically showcased high total horizontal radiation, UV radiation, evaporation, wind speed, and TSP concentration, whereas, that at Seonamsa temple showcased high temperature, humidity, dew point temperature, air pressure, precipitation and number of days with precipitation. An elemental analysis of TSP revealed the presence of sae-salts at Seonamsa temple, and compared to that of Beopjusa temple, the monthly frequencies of biogenic aerosol and Fe-containing particles were higher. The correlation analysis showed that wind speed and humidity were major meteorological factors at Beopjusa and Seonamsa temples, respectively. Subsequently, the characteristics of the local meteorology at Seonamsa temple are expected to affect the biological damage of the building cultural heritages, which is favorable for the growth of various organisms.

  • The culture is a product of the century, and so a worldwide-recognized cultural legacy is like an incorporeal property owned by a country. It is a new legacy created In new environment conditions among countries. The meaning of this study is to give wider publicity to our intangible cultural properties through active database research. There are a significant number of museums that manage tangible cultural properties at a national level, but we can find that most stay very superficial in the aspects of database protection, classification system, and demonstration method. This is a critical physical factor that makes it difficult to create an information-oriented management system, or to manage intangible cultural properties as incorporeal entities. The preservation of tangible cultural properties may be a more proper approach of handing down valuable national characteristics to posterity In that they can show those characteristics more readily. Unlike tangible cultural properties, the preservation of intangible cultural properties requires a different approach and process. They are treated as a category of human cultural assets because of their incorporeity and formlessness. Since those intangible cultural properties to be preserved and quantified at a national level, it is an important consideration in the study on cultural properties. The objectives of this study are to present the intangible products by making the best use of the information society's merits; rediscover human elements constituting those products; ultimately help promote our cultural succession and development by databasing such human elements.

  • This study has extracted elements and related factors in the modernization of Hanok, using an evaluation method, and has also considered the possibilities of modern images using AHP analysis. As a result, first, the elements that form the urban landscape of historical and cultural environment have to be created by extracting elements from the subject standard for construction of the elements selected. As for the aspect of blending history, culture and environment, scenic and important architectural aspects were delineated. Second, based on selected components of the basic type of features and construction, roof types, vertical and horizontal elements were simulated after setting the criteria. Third, according to its historical cultural circumstances the man-made landscape and the traditional measure of the model, specific values of the elements for the formation of structures were evaluated by priority. A region characterized by old city houses constructed of objective elements can possibly be combined. In addition, a Hanok multi-family house fitted for modern life and a variety of models to develop and validate the possibility and utilization of this study can be expected.
