Application of Multi-Purposed Emotional Space for Renewing Idle Spaces around Core Cultural Facilities - Focused on the National Asian Culture Complex - (거점 문화시설 인근 유휴공간의 재생을 위한 다목적 감성공간 적용 - 국립 아시아문화전당을 대상으로 -)

  • Purpose: This study suggests the multi-purposed emotional space that is one of the alternatives to reuse idle spaces in the city. Because human who is living in modern society begins pursue new contents and leisurely life all the time and live toward the period of high emotion with personal characteristics, architectural industry also need to change its planning and design to satisfy contemporary man and to adjust rapid social mobility. Method: For this study, the buildings where are located near Asia Cultural Complex (ACC) and leaved as idle spaces now that is used for important facilities are used to apply the multi-purposed emotional Space. Essential methodology and terminology were examined to estimate and construct the multi-purposed emotional space. Result: The multi-purposed emotional space provides that people aggressively request subjects to satisfy their emotional attractiveness as well as comforts and pleasures beyond the functional basic requirements in space. On the other words, it can be regarded as limited context to physical space responsive to social and environmental changes for the surrounding, and may maximize user experiences. Since emotions tend to be abstract and subjective while architectural space has pretty physical properties, this study attempts to integrate contrastive properties between emotional and architectural spaces to make a real object.

  • The gift coupon system was introduced in the AWP(Amusement With Prize) Game Industry in February 2002 to revitalize the sluggish domestic game industry and establish the cultural industry base. Today, however, speculations regarding these coupons are fast becoming a serious social issue. Therefore, this study proposes the establishment of the MCTF Management System as a possible solution to the analysis and resolution of the problem of gift coupons aimed at promoting the AWP Game Industry and ensuring its soundness as well as bridging the gap between the domestic and international game markets in terms of the industrial structure; thus securing global competitiveness. Unlike any other measure taken to date to prevent speculations, the MCTF Management System can eradicate problems related to coupons offered for free in the AWP Game Industry. This strategic system consists of Merchandise Coupon Management, Central Management, Tripartite Guarantee Management, and Fund Management System. Finally, this system is expected to help root out the problems related to gift coupons.

  • The purpose of this research is to analyze the Spill-over economic effect of the cultural and creative industries(CCI) in Henan Province, China. The research object is the CCI of Henan Province, which is mainly based on five sectors out of 42 industries in the industrial association table of the Statistical Bureau of Henan Province, China in 2017 (culture, sports; recreation and research sector; experimental development and integrated technical services sector; information transmission, computer services and software sector; education sector, etc), and is analyzed through secondary integration and redefinition of the CCI of Henan Province. Through the analysis of Henan Province Industry Association Table, this paper provides some enlightenment to the future direction of the cultural and creative industries. The main analysis results are as follows. The total production inducement of the CCI in Henan province is 48,848 billion yuan, and in particular, the production inducement coefficient of the industry in Henan province is 2.72809, 2.23909 (total of columns and rows), Index of the power of dispersion is 0.26325, and the index of the sensitivity of dispersion is 0.87535. Income induction coefficient is 0.55211, production tax induction coefficient is 0.09291. Because CCI of Henan Province has full development potential, the government needs to provide active support and policy support, in addition to the need for legal provisions and supervision of market management. In order to improve the innovative development of the CCI, it is necessary to develop a new model of "CCI+X".

  • The purpose of this study is to propose a documentary plan for the 7th Gyeongbuk Intangible Cultural Property, Andong-Notdaribapgi. Most of the records of Andong-Notdaribapgi. are produced centering on play. Thus this study aims to the method of recording it so that it can be accessed and utilized in the long term. This is a study at the beginning stage for documenting the Andong-Notdaribapgi. First of all, at the stage of the basic framework, the concept and characteristics of the recording of the Andong-Notdaribapgi were derived, and the meaning and necessity of recording was raised. In addition, the entire category of records was set through the analysis of the behavior process of Andong-Notdaribapgi, and the occurrence records and the contents of the records were organized focusing on the behavior processes occurring in various forms through the analysis of the recording target. In addition, materials that can be used are organized by focusing on the details and contents, including related records, and records that can be produced in the course of action are organized by type characteristics. Lastly, record analysis was based on performance behavior, and management functions were organized based on producers. The management of the records is to make it easier for users with various purposes to access the Intangible Cultural Property, the Andong-Notdaribapgi, and it is expected that it will provide directions and guidelines that can be applied to the recording plan in fields with similar characteristics.

  • The Baekjae Culture Festival was first held with the objective to re-explore and succeed the traditions of Baekjae culture based on history of Baekjae's seat of government, Gongju and Buyeo. It has contributed to the development of regional culture and establishment of cultural identity of local community with its pride as the leading historical cultural festival that introduces the history and culture of Baekje. However, the current Baekje Culture Festival as a historical and cultural festival is faced with a criticism as it is operated in the direction far from its initial purpose due to the lack of recognition in its significance and application. Therefore, the National Baekje Cultural Products Concours is held as part of various contests of Baekje Culture Festival in order to encourage the pride of Baekje history, draw international attention for the advanced and unique Baekje culture, develop innovative ideas for cultural products and grow the talents in design. The awarded work of this national concours is believed to be effective for the cultural contents industry. However, unlike its initial purpose, the concours has become a one-time exhibitionist event. Hence, through the analysis of general facts and case of domestic cultural products this thesis aims to find a way to utilize the National Baekje Cultural Products Concours in order to re-evaluate the history and culture of Baekje and enhance the public recognition through their viewing, consuming, promoting and experiencing of cultural products.

  • Projection mapping is one of the convergence contents combined with digital technology. After entering the Chinese market, with its fantastic shock of visual impact, it becomes China's most shocking, most popular, and most commercial value of marketing means, to be widely used in advertising, construction, tourism and other fields. But in China, the lack of projection mapping professionals and professional will affect the development of the entire industry. The study analysed the case of projection mapping in China, and discovered the future direction development of projection mapping. Projection mapping will keep going based on local cultural environment, and combined with other intelligent technologies, and spreading to daily life, also expanding the using area, creating the manifestation pattern then contributing greatly to the entertainment content industry.

  • The game industry has grown to represent the domestic cultural industry, but the socio-cultural status of the game is not as high as industrial growth. In the early 2000s, the problem of dysfunctional use of youth games became a social issue and the game culture policy was established for 15 years. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of policy on the prevention of dysfunction, The prevention of dysfunction of the game is somewhat effective, but the diffusion of positive function is insufficient and the improvement of recognition becomes more negative tendency. The effect is insufficient compared to the policy results. It is necessary to adjust the direction of game culture policy through consideration of securing basic data, post-management of policy, enhancement of cultural meaning, and universality of game culture.

  • If a drama play is interested in recreating the play text on stage, the post-drama play aims at a drama that has been liberated from the play text. In this process, the boundaries created by drama theater are dismantled. Actors and audiences, fiction and reality, theater and non-theater, works and events, language and non-language are the names of typical boundaries. The demolition of these boundaries is an opportunity to restore the festival character of ancient Greek theater, which was forgotten by drama theater. This has led to the dismantling of language-centric and play-centricism, which has dominated the play since Aristotle, and has led to a new play. If language-centered, play-centricism has brought about the crisis of drama, the post-dramatic play dismisses them and finds ways to communicate with the audience as new cultural content. The method is found above all in the restoration of dramaturgy. This is because the post-drama plays are more dependent on theatricality than literature. The demilitarized nature of post-dramatic play with enhanced theatricality will be a stepping stone to popularization, and this shows the possibility of post-dramatic play as cultural contents.

  • The content industries environment has been undergoing significant changes due to rapid technological innovation and content market expansion. Interest in the industry is growing fast both in Asia and Europe. However, in Japan content industries are showing almost zero growth with no increase in overseas expansion. Until now, Japanese content industries have been able to grow based on domestic demands. Many different factors contributed to today's zero growth in Japanese content industries. Two main reasons are: 1) Their lack of interest in overseas expansion and 2) Insufficient investment in domestic human resources development. Considerable amounts of Japanese contents including films, music, games, and animations have been distributed in many Asian countries and today piracy problems in the region are at a serious level. According to 2004 records pirated editions accounted for 85%, 16%, 19%, and 36% in China, Korea, Hong Kong, and Taiwan respectively. Pirated editions bring economic losses to Japanese copyright profits. Making it worse, they weaken the motivation to create content and make it hard to activate cultural exchanges. Losses from copyright violations in Japanese content industries are expected to keep increasing in the future. In order to make Japan competitive and grow it is crucial to take proper measures to protect copyright infringements. This study considers the current situation of the Japanese content market, infringement issues in content which is causing many problems in Asian countries, including China, and facts about losses caused by this problem.
