Nonstoichiometry and Magnetic Property of the $Nd_{-x}Sr_{x}CoO_{3-y}$ System ($Nd_{-x}Sr_{x}CoO_{3-y}$계의 비화학양론 및 자기적 특성)

  • A series of samples in the $Nd_{-x}Sr_{x}CoO_{3-y}$ system (x = 0.00, 0.25, 0.50, 0.75 and 1.00) have been produced by heating the reactants at 1200${\circ}$C under atmospheric pressure. The solid solutions were analysed by X-ray diffraction spectra, thermal analysis, and SEM micrographs. X-ray powder diffraction assigns the compositions of x = 0.00, 0.25, 0.50 and 0.75 to the cubic system and the composition of x = 1.00 to the orthorhombic system. The reduced lattice volume is increased with increasing x values in the system. The mole ratio of $Co^{4+}$ or ${\tau}$ values are determined by the Iodometric titration method and are maximum at the composition of x = 0.50. The magnetic measurement shows that a ferromagnetism is appeared in the compositions of x = 0.00, 0.25, 0.50 and 0.75 and then an antiferromagnetism in the composition of x = 1.00. The measurement of the electrical conductivity shows that the semiconductivity is appeared in the composition of x = 0.00, 0.25 and 1.00 and the metallic conductivity in the composition of x = 0.50 and 0.75. The magnetic and electrical properties of the samples are discussed with the nonstoichiometric chemical formulas.

Nano-crystallization Behavior and Optical Properties of Na2O-Nb2O5-TeO2Glasses (1) (Na2O-Nb2O5-TeO2계 유리의 광학적 성질과 나노-결정화거동 (1))

  • In order to develop a new type of nonlinear optical materials or photocatlaysts, Na$_2$O-Nb$_2$ $O_{5}$-Te $O_2$ glasses were prepared using conventional melt quenching method, and the crystallization behaviors and optical properties of these glasses was investigated. The optical and physical properties for Na$_2$O-Nb$_2$ $O_{5}$-Te $O_2$ glasses are: refractive index, n=2.04$\pm$0.04; density, p (g/㎤)=4.87$\pm$0.58; optical energy band of the transmission cut-off wavelength, E$_{0}$ (eV)=3.14$\pm$0.04. The transparent glass ceramics consisting of the nanocrysatls were obtained when the Na$_2$O-Nb$_2$ $O_{5}$-Te $O_2$ glass was first heat-treated at 3$50^{\circ}C$ for 1 h and than at 40$0^{\circ}C$ for 1 h. A cubic crystalline phase consisting of the nano-crysatls transforms into a stable phase at temperature above 47$0^{\circ}C$ for 1 h.

Robust Dynamic Projection Mapping onto Deforming Flexible Moving Surface-like Objects (유연한 동적 변형물체에 대한 견고한 다이내믹 프로젝션맵핑)

  • Projection Mapping, also known as Spatial Augmented Reality(SAR) has attracted much attention recently and used for many division, which can augment physical objects with projected various virtual replications. However, conventional approaches towards projection mapping have faced some limitations. Target objects' geometric transformation property does not considered, and movements of flexible objects-like paper are hard to handle, such as folding and bending as natural interaction. Also, precise registration and tracking has been a cumbersome process in the past. While there have been many researches on Projection Mapping on static objects, dynamic projection mapping that can keep tracking of a moving flexible target and aligning the projection at interactive level is still a challenge. Therefore, this paper propose a new method using Unity3D and ARToolkit for high-speed robust tracking and dynamic projection mapping onto non-rigid deforming objects rapidly and interactively. The method consists of four stages, forming cubic bezier surface, process of rendering transformation values, multiple marker recognition and tracking, and webcam real time-lapse imaging. Users can fold, curve, bend and twist to make interaction. This method can achieve three high-quality results. First, the system can detect the strong deformation of objects. Second, it reduces the occlusion error which reduces the misalignment between the target object and the projected video. Lastly, the accuracy and the robustness of this method can make result values to be projected exactly onto the target object in real-time with high-speed and precise transformation tracking.

Heat Shield Property of Nanostructural-regulated Fe2O3/TiO2 Composites Filled with Polyacrylate Paint (나노구조 변화에 의한 Fe2O3/TiO2 복합재료를 충전한 Poly Acrylate 도료의 열차단 특성)

  • Fe2O3 nanoparticles with the mixed structure of cubic and nanorod were synthesized by precipitation, hydrothermal, sol-gel method, etching process and heat treatment. Fe2O3/TiO2 core-shell (CS) of type Fe2O3@TiO2 composite was fabricated on a 20 nm nanolayer of TiO2 coated on the surface of Fe2O3 nanoparticles. Fe2O3/TiO2 yolk-shell (YS) composite was prepared by chemical etching and heat treatment of Fe2O3/TiO2 CS nanoparticles. Physical properties of Fe2O3, Fe2O3@TiO2 CS and Fe2O3@TiO2 YS nanoparticles were characterized by FE-SEM, HR-TEM and X-ray diffraction. The solar reflectance, commission internationale de l'Elcairage (CIE) color coordinate and heat shield temperatures of Fe2O3, CS and YS type Fe2O3@TiO2 pigments filled with poly acrylate (PA) paints were investigated by UV-Vis-NIR spectrometer and homemade heat shield temperature measuring device. The Fe2O3@TiO2 YS red pigment filled PA composite exhibited excellent near infrared light reflecting performance and also reduced the heat shield temperature of 13 ℃ than that of Fe2O3 filled counterparts.
