  • In this paper, electrical properties CdS/CdTe heterojunction solar cell prepared by electron beam evaporation method were investigated. Crystal structure of CdS films deposited at substrate temperature of $50{\sim}250^{\circ}C$ was hexagonal type with preferential orientation of the (002)plane parallel to the substrate. Optical transmittance of the CdS film is increasing and resistivity is decreasing with increasing subsrate temperature. CdS/CdTe Solar cell characteristics were improved by increasing of substrate and annealing temperature. However, low efficiency due to small Jsc, Voc below 0.3 $mA/cm^2$ and 430 mV are observed. Low efficiency is contributed to be high resistance of CdTe films and contact.

  • An in-situ monitoring technique for deposition process of CdS buffer layer was developed in this work. A quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) was used to measure the frequency change during the CdS deposition process and the relation ship between frequency change and film thickness and optical transmittance was investigated. The film thickness shows a linear relationship with frequency change, demonstrating that frequency change measured by QCM can be used a in-situ monitoring tool for CdS deposition process.

  • The influence of the grain size of the $CH_3NH_3PbI_3$ on the solar cell performance is investigated by controlling the ratio between $CH_3NH_3I$ and $PbI_2$ precursors. As the concentration of the precursors increased from 1.0M to 2.0M, the $CH_3NH_3PbI_3$ grain size increased from ~100nm to ~400nm. The solar cell utilizing the $CH_3NH_3PbI_3$ with large grain size shows improved photocurrent compared to the solar cell utilizing $CH_3NH_3PbI_3$ with small grain size, which is ascribed to the reduced recombination at the boundaries of grains.

  • Aeromonas hydrophila which bacause various diseases in human also infects fresh water fish, severly damaging the fishing industries. To prevent disease in humans and reduce damaging on the fishing industries, We have examined several characteristics of Aeromonas hydrophila and obtained the following results. All of the strains gave a posive voges-proskauer, methyl-red, salicin and esculin reaction. Seventeen(94.4%) A. hydrophila strains presented the phenotype SP-PAB- in autoagglut-ination test, but only strain AH 997 showed $SP^{+}PAB^{+}$. in autoagglut ination test, but only strain AH 997 $SP^{+}PAB^{+}$ All of the strains took up the censored to various degrees. Three of 18 strains showed positive reaction in crystal violet binding test. Hemolytic activity ranged from titers of 0 to 1/256. Seven of the 17(38.8%) A. hydrophila strains were positive in sucking mouse assay. Cytotoxin activity on vero and RK cells was displayed various titers.(1/2-1/1024)

  • The most common conventional method of discovering a drug involves a massive screening of a large number of compounds in chemical libraries or in the extracts from natural sources such as plants or microbial broths followed by chemical modification of one or more active compounds to improve their properties as a drug. When the three-dimensional structure of the target molecule for which the drug is searched is known the drug discovery process can be significantly simplified, This is especially true when the three-dimensional structure of a complex between the target and a lead compound is known. In this lecture our experience on the structure-based drug design for human CDK2(cyclin-dependent protein kinase 2) will be discussed with special emphasis on the strength and weakness of this approach of drug discovery. The regulation of the activity of CDK2 plays an important role in the cell proliferation of normal and cancer cells.

  • We investigated the transcription of liquid crystal (LC) alignment method by using memory effect of nematic (N) LC on polyimide (PI) surface with side chain as for non-rubbing alignment techniques. That the monodomain alignment of aligned NLC is observed by polarizing microscope textures in the cells on PI surface with side chain, We obtained that the pretilt angle of NLC are generated about 3.7 degree on PI surface. We suggest that the LC alignment by using transcription aligngnment method is attributed to memory effect of NLC on PI surface.

  • Heterotrimeric G proteins are key intracellular coordinators that receive signals from cells through activation of cognate G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). The details of their atomic interactions and structural mechanisms have been described by many biochemical and biophysical studies. Specifically, a framework for understanding conformational changes in the receptor upon ligand binding and associated G protein activation was provided by description of the crystal structure of the ${\beta}2$-adrenoceptor-Gs complex in 2011. This review focused on recent findings in the conformational dynamics of G proteins and GPCRs during activation processes.

  • We systematically investigated the negative-refraction effect for both TE and TM polarizations in annular photonic crystals. Since two polarization waves are excited in different bands, they result in different refractive angles, and so polarization beam splitters can be made of annular photonic crystals. It was found that, in comparison to normal square-lattice air-hole photonic crystals, annular photonic crystals have a much wider common frequency band between TE-1 and TM-2, which is quite beneficial to finding the overlap between the negative-refraction regions belonging to TE-1 and TM-2 respectively. Further analyses of equifrequency surfaces and the electric-field distribution of annular photonic crystals with different parameters have not only demonstrated how the filling factor of annular cells affects the formation of the common negative-refraction region between TE-1 and TM-2, but also revealed some ways to improve the performance of a polarization beam splitter based on the negative-refraction effect in an annular photonic crystal.

  • In this work, we provided a novel test method to verify the sealing materials for flexible LCD cell. The ultraviolet type curing sealing material with low process temperature was suitable for LCD cell assembly. We also proposed the sealing materials which passed 13200 times bending test within 20 mm curvature.
