  • This paper presents the technology trend of various active safety systems for vehicle. The safety system is applied to various industry fields and is expected to be spread all over the market. So far, good examples of the developed active safety systems are ACC(Adaptive Cruise Control), CMS(Collision Mitigation Systems) and APSS(Active Pedestrian Safety Systems). And, a basic operation principle, system model and detection performance in a UWB radar for vehicle is investigated.

  • 지능형 자동차에 대한 관심이 높아지면서 AICC(Automatic Intelligent Cruise Control)나 무인 자동차가 개발되고 있다. 이러한 기술을 개발하기 위해서는 자동차의 환경과 운항에 관련된 상황을 실시간 감시하는 것이 중요하기 때문에 본 연구에서는 임베디드 시스템을 구성 후 웹 서버를 구현하여 원격지에 존재하는 자동차의 감시 시스템을 개발하고, 자동차 ECU와 인터페이스 하여 엔진 및 자동차의 내부 상황을 웹으로 확인할 있는 임베디드 시스템을 구현하였다. 또한, ECU의 부담과 자동차 Wireless Hamess(W/H)에 의한 중량을 줄이기 위해 블루투스 방식으로 분산제어 방식을 이용 각 부분별 제어할 수 있도록 하였다.

  • In the aerospace field, the study on a morphing-wing is in progress to improve flight performance and perform multi flight mission. There are many concepts of morphing-wing such as camber-change, wing-twist, variable-span, and so on. In this study, the aerodynamic characteristics and flight control of an air vehicle with a variable-span morphing wing (VSMW) have been investigated. VSMW with symmetric span control(SSC) can increase cruising range of aircraft by reducing drag in various flight condition. VSMW with anti-symmetric span control(ASSC) can be used in the roll control of an aircraft. The flight control about pure rolling dynamic system and full dynamic system have been performed about the cruise missile.

  • In this paper, Web server is built up using PXA255, 32bit RISC processor with porting Embedded Linux and GoAhead, HTTP(Hyper Text Transfer Protocol) web server, and the system with can monitor and control the environment and condition for AICC(Automatic Intelligent Cruise Control) is realized. For sending the operation condition and change of vehicle the desired data is derived by interacting ECU(Electric Control Unit) and Embedded system and the rpm of engine is controlled by step motor connected to throttle value.

  • Accurate positioning of the throttle valve of a gasoline engine is required to implement various systems such as traction control system(TCS), cruise control system and drive-by-wire system. In this research, position control system has been developed for the throttle actuator system that uses one throttle actuation for small volume and DC servo motor for fast response. In order to drive the DC motor, PWM signal generator and PWM amplifier were built and interfaced to the motor and controller. Also, time delay control(TDC) law has been used as a basic control algorithm. A method of varying the reference model of the TDC according to the size of change in target throttle angle is proposed here. The simulation and experimental results show that both overshoot prevention and fast response are achieved by the TDC technique with this variable reference model.

Usability in Information Transfer of an Adaptive Cruise Control System (적응순항제어시스템 정보 전달의 효용성)

  • 적응순항제어시스템은 선행차량과의 거리와 속도를 자동적으로 안전하게 유지하여 운전의 안전성과 편의성을 향상시키는 시스템이다. 본 연구에서는 적응순항제어시스템의 안전성을 향상시키기 위한 연구를 수행하였다. 적응순항제어시스템의 작동 상태 및 주변 차량 정보를 운전자에게 제공해 주기 위한 시각 및 음성정보 전달장치를 설계 및 제작하였다. 시각정보 전달장치를 통해 선행차량과의 차간거리, 속도, 가감속 상태 등을 운전자에게 전달하였고, 음성정보 전달장치를 이용하여 선행차량과의 근접거리 경보 등의 메시지를 전달하도록 하였다. 이러한 조건에서 운전자가 적응순항제어시스템을 사용하여 운전하는 경우, 시각 및 음성정보 전달장치의 유무에 따른 차량 조작과 차량 운전 성향 및 특성의 변화를 살펴봄으로써 정보전달장치를 통한 안전성 향상에 관한 영향을 연구하였다. 연구 결과, 운전자에게 정보 전달장치를 통해 정보가 제공되었을 경우, 운전자는 차량의 운전 및 적응순항제어시스템 사용에 있어 편안함을 느낄 수 있었고, 선행차량과의 차간거리를 보다 넓게 설정하여 주행 안전성을 향상시키는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 정보전달장치를 통한 정보 수집이 차량 운행에 저해 요인으로 작용하지 않음을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 정보전달장치를 통한 정보전달은 운전자에게 적응순항제어시스템에 대한 편의성 및 효율성, 안전성을 더욱 향상 시킬 수 있음을 보인다.

A Development of the Operational Architecture of a Low Altitude Air Defense Automation System (저고도 방공자동화체계의 운용아키덱처 개발)

  • This paper describes a development of the operational architecture of a low altitude air defense automation system using a systems engineering approach. The future battlefield is changing to new system of systems that command and control by the network based BM/C4I. Also, it is composed of various sensors and shooters in an single theater. Future threats may be characterized as unmanned mewing bodies that the strategic effect is great such as UAVs, cruise missiles or tactical ballistic missiles. New threats such as low altitude stealth cruise missiles may also appear. The implementation of a low altitude air defense against these future threats is required to complex and integrated approach based on systems engineering. In this view, this work established an operational scenario and derived operational requirements by identifying mission and future operational environments. It is presented the operational architecture of the low altitude air defense automation system by using the CORE 5.0.

  • 본 논문에서는 운행 중인 자동차에서 스로틀밸브의 각도와 자동차의 속도를 추출하고 시스템 식별 알고리즘을 이용해 비교적 정확한 자동차의 수학적 모델링 식 즉, 전달함수를 구하고, 식별 알고리즘에 의해 구해진 고차 형태의 전달함수를 2차식과 시간지연 항으로 간략화 시켜 자동차가 순항 운행할 수 있는 제어기를 설계한다.

  • This paper suggests a speed control algorithm for the ICC(Intelligent Cruise Controller) system. The speed controller is designed using the fuzzy controller which shows the good performance in nonlinear system having the complex mathematical model. The fuzzy controller was equipped with the capability of a self-learning in real time in order to maintain the good performance of the speed controller in a time-varying environment the self-learning properties and the performance of the fuzzy controller are showed via computer simulation. The suggested fuzzy controller will be applied to the PRV-III which is our test vehicle.
