알루미나 세라믹스의 동적피로거동 (Dynamic Fatigue Behavior of Alumina Ceramics)

  • The dynamic fatigue behavior of alumina ceramics was observed at room temperature using four point bending system. The dynamic fatigue fracture strength and the dynamic fatigue lifetime were observed as a function of crosshead speed and the notch length. The notched specimen showed the smaller deviation in dynamic fatigue fracture strength than the unnotched specimen. The crack growth exponent n and the material constant A of the notched specimen could be represented as functions of the notch length. Fracture strength of the specimen calculated from the notch length, when the notch length was regarded as the crack size, was in good agreement with the measured 4 point bending strength. Fracture surface of the specimen showed the different fracture modes according to the crosshead speed. The four point flexural strength, fracture toughness, Young's modulus and Weibull modulus of the alumina were measured as 360 MPa, 3.91 MPa.m1/2, 159GPa, 17.64, respectively.

동하중을 받는 박용엔진 크로스헤드 베어링의 윤활해석 (Lubrication Analysis of Dynamically-Loaded Crosshead Bearing for Marine Engine)

  • Crosshead bearings in two-stroke marine diesel engines are operated under severe conditions of lubrication because the load on the bearing is unidirectional and the sliding speed is very low and oscillatory. In this paper, the motion of journal in a bearing is investigated using the lubrication theory. Several locus paths are presented to show the effects of oil groove size, bearing clearance and oil inlet pressure. It is found that the minimum film thickness is affected by the oil groove and bearing clearance, and the oil groove is an important design factor.

압착실험조건이 어육연제품의 조직감 면모분석에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Compression Test Conditions on Texture Profile Analysis of Surimi-based Products)

  • 세 가지 시판 어육연제품에 대한 TPA 매개변수들이 여러 압착조건들에 의해 평가되었다. 지름(D)과 높이 (L)의 비율(D/L)이 1, 1.5, 2인 시료가 1.7. 3.3, 6.7 cm/min의 속도로 50%, 65%, 80% 압착되었다. TPA 매개변수인 경도, 응집력, 탄력성, 껌성. 씹힘성이 얻어졌으며 통계분석에 의해 비교 분석되었다. TPA 매개변수는 시료의 단면적으로 나눔으로써 수정되었다. 본 실험결과 TPA 매개변수들은 세 가지에 형태의 어묵 모두에서 D/L과 압착율에 의해 크게 영향을 받으므로 시료의 크기, 변형의 정도 그리고 변형속도 등의 압착 실험조건이 시료간에 크게 차이가 나면 각 시료들의 TPA 매개변수들은 서로 비교될 수 없음을 보여 주었으며, 어육연제품에 대한 TPA 최적 실험 조건들은 D/L = 1.5, 압착율 = 80%, 압착속도 = 1.7-6.7 cm/min로 나타났다.

대형저속 디젤엔진용 박판형 메탈 베어링의 국산화 개발에 관한 연구 (A study on the development of thin-walled metal bearing for the large-sized slow speed diesel engines.)

  • Nowadays the thin-walled metal bearing, which is made seperately from the bearing housing and has the ratio of wall thickness/bearing diameter being less than 1/30, are used in many newly developed large-sized slow speed diesel engines for the purpose of upgarding lubication performance and easy maintenance according to the trends of increasing output per cylinder and lowering engine speed. The type of this bearing has been used generally in many small-sized high speed engines applied for automobile, high speed craft and industrial power generation systems since 1950s. But the tranditional thick-walled bearings, whice are linned white metal on the bearing housing directly, have been installed on the large and slow speed engines until 1990s due to the easy manufacturing procedures. In this study we have calculated optimum dimensions of the metal bearing, fabricated special zigs for crush measurement, model test machine, 2 sets of specimens.(crosshead pin bearing, $\phi$818*552*20mm) for B & W 6S70MC(20, 940*88rpm), and evaluated metal constact phenomena of white metal, its friction coefficient, temparature rise through the model test and field performance test.

  • Abstract-Crosshead bearing in two-stroke marine diesel engine is operated under quite severe condition since the load on the bearing is sybject to the loading in a unidirectional and the sliding speed is very slow and oscillatory. So it is very difficult to form oil film and maintain the load. In this paper, two types of bearing are compared. One has large sized oil pocket and the seleted as multi-small oil grooves. Bearing clearance, oil inlet oressure and bearing types are selected as analysis parameters. Loci of journal center are presented to compare several cases. It is found that bearing clearance and shape affect to minimum film thickness.

열진공성형에서 적층필름 두께변화에 대한 수치 및 실험적 해석 (Numerical and Experimental Analysis of Laminated-Film Thickness Variation in Vacuum-Assisted Thermoforming)

  • Vacuum-assisted thermoforming is one of the critical steps for successful application of film insert molding (FIM) to make parts of complex shape. If the thickness distribution of the formed film is non-uniform, then cracking, deformation, warpage, and wrinkling can easily occur at the injection molding stage. In this study, the simulation of thermoforming was performed to predict the film thickness distribution, and the results were compared with experiments. Uniaxial tensile tests with a constant crosshead speed for various high temperatures were conducted to investigate the stress-strain behavior. An instance of yielding occurred at the film temperature of $90^{\circ}C$, and the film stiffness increased with increasing crosshead speed. Two types of viscoelastic models, G'Sell model, K-BKZ model, were used to describe the measured stress-strain relationship. The predicted film thickness distributions were in good agreement with the experimental results.

몇가지 채소류의 펀치특성 (Punch Properties of Some Vegetables)

  • 몇가지 채소류(오이, 무우, 마늘, 생강 및 감자)의 펀치특성을 살펴보기 위하여 식품물성 측정기로 일정하게 힘을 가하면서 힘-거리-시간 간의 관계를 살펴보고 성분함량 및 세포특성과의 관계를 살펴본 결과는 다음과 같다. 힘-거리 및 거리-시간 곡선 상에는 많은 변곡점 및 파괴점이 관찰되었으며, 이는 시료의 구성세포가 가해진 힘에 대해 저항 또는 항복할때 나타나는 현상으로 탐침속도가 느릴때 크고 분명하였다. 파괴점까지 힘-시간 및 거리-시간에 대한 회귀분석 결과 상관계수는 0.95이상이었다. 탐침이 시료를 관통하는 시간과 그때의 힘은 생강이 5.63초 및 4.88 N으로 컸고 오이가 4.15초 및 2.00 N으로 작았으며, 탐침속도가 빠를 수록 더 많은 파괴힘을 필요로 하였다. 상관관계 분석결과 세포가 클수록 수분함량이 많고 파괴거리가 커지며, 세포의 규칙성, 시료의 즙액, 조밀도와 힘-시간 간의 기울기는 작아지는 관계를 보였다. 비중이 클수록 파괴힘, 거리 및 시간은 작아졌으며, 거리-시간곡선의 기울기는 힘-시간곡선의 기울기와 반비례 관계가 있었다.

지르코니아 세라믹의 Glass-infiltration에 의한 2축 굽힘강도에 관한 연구 (Study on Biaxial Flexural Strength by Glass-infiltration of Zirconia Ceramics)

  • This study was to evaluate the biaxial flexural strength of zirconia ceramics after glass-infiltration on zirconia core. The zirconia specimens were made with diameter-15mm, thickness-0.6mm using zirconia block which divided into 1) sintered group, 2) heat - treated group, 3) Glass - infiltrated group and experimented fracture strength by each 10 specimens in experimental group. The biaxial flexural test was performed at crosshead speed of 0.1${\beta}\;{\AE}$ min. The experiment result average fracture strength was shown 541.0${\beta}\acute{A}$ in sintered group and glass-infiltrated group as 662.2${\beta}\acute{A}$ river of 22.4% rise appear. Weibull coefficient sintered group is 3.462 and glass-infiltrated group improved believability about fracture strength from melting permeation processing of glass by 4.716.

광중합형 복합레진의 압축강도에 미치는 레진과 필러의 영향 (The Effect or Resin ann ruler Type on the compressive strength of Light-activated Composite Resins)

  • This study was performed to evaluate the effect of resin and filler type on the compressive strength of light-activated composite resins. Experimental composite resins containing either amorphous spherical silica or crushed quartz in two matrix resins of BisGMA/TEGDMA and UTMA/TEGDMA were prepared and the specimens of 3 m in diameter and 6m in length were made. Compressive test was subjected to a crosshead speed of 0.5 mm/min, and the fracture surFaces were examined by SEM. The compressive strength of UTMA-based composite resin was higher than that of BisGMA-based composite resin. The loading rate of spherical silica was higher than that of crushed silica when the size dis- tribution of fillers was same. Strength decrease of Bis-GMA-based composite resin was severer than that of UTMA-based composite resin in a $37^{\circ}$c water environment. Fracture surface showed that the composite resin failure developed along the matrix resin and the filler/resin interface region.

스테인리스강의 고온 기계적 성질에 대한 확률분포 특성 (Probability Distribution Characteristics for Elevated Temperature Mechanical Properties of Stainless Steels)

  • The characteristics of the probability distribution for mechanical properties, e.g. tensile strength, reduction of area, and elongation, for STS304 stainless steel in elevated temperature are investigated. Tensile test is performed by constant crosshead speed controls with 1mm/min. The probability distribution function of measured mechanical properties seems to follow $\alpha$ 3-parameter Weibull, and shows a slight dependence on the temperature. When the temperature is raised, the shape parameter a is increased, but both the scale parameter $\beta$ and location parameter v are decreased.
