A Study on Drag Queen's Costume (Drag Queen 복식(服飾)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究))

  • The purpose of this study is considering about drag queen's costume in the point of view of anthropology and psychoanalysis. The contents are the meaning of drag queen by theoretical research and the characteristics of drag queen's costume. The results of characteristics of drag queen's costume are summerized as following. 1. Sexual originality is related with homosexuality. Costume express character of gay not as a transsexual or cross-dresser. 2. Imitation is related with identification of drag queen and famous star like actress, pop singer and historical heroine. 3. Amusement is related with drag queen's life style. There are two kinds of character in amusement. One is humour. Another is an exaggeration. 4. Commercialism is related with mass-media culture. Drag queen's costume have an influence with movie, advertisement and modern fashion.

Analysis of Growth Mechanism of Al Thin Film by in-situ Surface Reflectance Measurement During MOCVD Process (MOCVD에 의한 Al 박막 증착 중의 표면 반사도 측정을 통한 박막 성장 메커니즘 분석)

  • Al thin films were deposited on TiN/Si(100) via metal-organic chemical vapor deposition using N-methylpyrrolidine alane as a precursor. Characterization of the deposited films were investigated with SEM, XRD, ${\alpha}$-step, AFM, 4-point probe. The early stage of Al thin film deposition was analyzed by in-situ surface reflectance measurement with laser and photometer apparatus. The surface reflectance were changed greatly during the initial 30~40 seconds. There were two increases and two decreases in the surface reflectance, thus the sequence of Al films were deposited at 8 significant points of the surface reflectance change. Surface topograph and cross-sectional view of each film were analyzed with SEM. Al films were grown in the complex mechanism of Volmer-Weber and Stranski-Krastanov process.

  • Highly oriented diamond films were deposited on a (100) silicon substrate by bias enhanced nucleation technique. Both plan-view and cross-section TEM were applied to study the nucleation and growth mechanism of diamond grains. Randomly oriented polycrystalline diamond grains with internal microtwins were observed at the nucleation stage while defect free regions were retained at the growth stage and were apparently related with the epitaxy of diamond films. From our experimental results, the nucleation and texture formation mechanism of diamond films is discussed.

  • Nigeria like many other developing countries' eagerness to accelerate socio-economic development has prompted her to adopt several approaches over the years since independence. These have ranged from the import substitution scheme, the indigenisation policy, and structural adjustment programme to the national economic empowerment development strategy. Nigeria has sought to widen her economic base by engaging in increased cross-border trade and investment activities. This is with a view to spurring the process of industrialization and ultimately lowering the level of poverty in the country. This has led to the formulation of various industrial policies and processes, all geared towards integration into the world economy. Using secondary sources, this paper seeks to analyze Nigeria's journey towards industrial development especially within the context of globalization. It concludes by explaining the impact of the new economic paradigm on the country's quest to industrialize and recommends alternative path towards development and growth.

A Decision Tree Induction using Genetic Programming with Sequentially Selected Features (순차적으로 선택된 특성과 유전 프로그래밍을 이용한 결정나무)

  • Decision tree induction algorithm is one of the most widely used methods in classification problems. However, they could be trapped into a local minimum and have no reasonable means to escape from it if tree algorithm uses top-down search algorithm. Further, if irrelevant or redundant features are included in the data set, tree algorithms produces trees that are less accurate than those from the data set with only relevant features. We propose a hybrid algorithm to generate decision tree that uses genetic programming with sequentially selected features. Correlation-based Feature Selection (CFS) method is adopted to find relevant features which are fed to genetic programming sequentially to find optimal trees at each iteration. The new proposed algorithm produce simpler and more understandable decision trees as compared with other decision trees and it is also effective in producing similar or better trees with relatively smaller set of features in the view of cross-validation accuracy.

  • The experimental study has been performed to deposit to deposit chromia powder on magnssium alloy for tribological and mechanical properties. The optimal condition was obtained by changing the spray condition such as working distance and gun power. As ceramics was coated onto the a light metal such as Mg according to the weight reduection of the car engine block, it could acquire that the engine efficiency deu to the weight reduction and properties such as resistance to heat, as well as wear. Coating qualities are discussed with respect to hardness, tribologicalproperty, and microstructure. The tribological and mechanical properties are investigated by using the reciprocal configuration tribometer and microharduess tester. Wear mode is determined by observing the SEM morhpology of wear track and cross section view of wear track.

  • Hihg Tensile Steel enables to reduce the plate thickness comparing to the case when Mild Steel is used. From the economical view points this is very preferable since the reduction in the hull weight. however to use the High Tensile Steel effectively the plate thickness may become thin so that the occurrence of buckling is inevitable and design allowing plate buckling may be necessary. If the inplane stiffness of the plating decreases due to buckling the flexural rigidity of the cross sect6ion of a ship's hull also decreases. This may lead to excessive deflection of the hull girder under longitudinal bending. In these cases a precise estimation of plate's behavior after buckling is necessary and nonliner analysis of isolated and stiffened plates is required for structural sys-tem analysis. In this connection this paper discusses nonlinear behaviour of thin plate under thrust. Based on the analytical method elastic large deflection analysis of isolated plate is perform and simple expression are derived to evaluated the inplane rigidity of plates subjected to uniaxial compression.

  • The chemical factory deals with dangerous element and more advance, human-error analyzes and becomes effective research for the country and region, this paper analyes the form of work-miss on human-error according to a safety accident for domestic chemical factory from 1999-2002. It include the present contents and raise issues human knowledge, behavior, judgment, sensibility as an important counterplan that makes the safety solution of work miss. For the point of view of human knowledge, it takes color standard for works to be effective in work place. for behavior, the test has been for risk point of work place and infra worker movement, also the workers performed professional work as classify according to work. for judgement, the valuation sheet is reflected to minimize the human -error and the 3rd supervisor does a cross-check audit beforehand. For sensibility, it is applicable for human relations, information, communication by program to the consciousness and an attitude of worker-supervisor.

Airline In-flight Meal Demand Forecasting with Neural Networks and Time Series Models

  • The purpose of this study is to introduce a more efficient forecasting technique, which could help result the reduction of cost in removing the waste of airline in-flight meals. We will use a neural network approach known to many researchers as the “Outstanding Forecasting Technique”. We employed a multi-layer perceptron neural network using a backpropagation algorithm. We also suggested using other related information to improve the forecasting performances of neural networks. We divided the data into three sets, which are training data set, cross validation data set, and test data set. Time lag variables are still employed in our model according to the general view of time series forecasting. We measured the accuracy of our model by “Mean Square Error”(MSE). The suggested model proved most excellent in serving economy class in-flight meals. Forecasting the exact amount of meals needed for each airline could reduce the waste of meals and therefore, lead to the reduction of cost. Better yet, it could enhance the cost competition of each airline, keep the schedules on time, and lead to better service.

An Architecture to Support Power Saving Transmission Services with Route Stability in Mobile Ad-hoc Wireless Networks

  • In mobile ad-hoc wireless networks, one of the most important challenging issues is how to conserve energy, maximizing the lifetime of route(networks) in the view points of both power and mobility of nodes. However, many transmission methods presented in the previous works can not satisfy these two objectives simultaneously. To obtain these two goals, in this paper we propose an architecture to support power saving transmission services with route stability in mobile ad-hoc wireless networks. The proposed architecture consists of two parts, the underlying route stability method to support route(network) lifetime and the power saving transmission methods. The performance evaluation of the proposed architecture is achieved via simulation and analysis.
