Submarine optical fiber cable construction consists of marine survey, PLGR(Pre Lay Grapnel Run), shore-end-work, laying order. PLGR is the work process which removes the oceanic contaminations(ropes, wires, nets etc.) in the route before laying the submarine optical cable. This PLGR is work to ease the cable lay safely in seabed, improve the performance of Plough and ROV((Remotely-Operated Vehicle) laying work, and protect laying equipment. This paper presents the optimization algorithm implementation of KP(Kilometer Post) and XTE(Cross Track Error) to manage marine survey and PLGR work efficiently. In this paper, we composes overall PLGR work, and proposed optimization algorithm of KP and XTE. For the validity evaluation of this paper, KP and XTE decision algorithm are implemented and tested.
Steel bar is used for as a reinforcing material in a concrete slab track. Bacuase the steel re-bar could provide passes for current transition, all the cross points of steel re-bars should be insulated by using plastic materials. This is due to the loss of signal intensity of track-circuit. In this study, GFRP bars are adopted in place of the traditional steel reinforcing bars for a concrete slab track to minimize the loss of the signal intensity. In order to evaluate the replacing effect on eletrical characteristic of slab track, measurements of surface resistivity are conducted on steel and GFRP reinforced precast slab tracks. In the results, the GFRP reinforced slab strack shows the higher resistivity than the steel reinforced slab track.
With the increase in recording density and higher rotation speeds, the aerodynamic aspect of hard disk drives (HDDs) is now quite significant. To achieve high TPI (tracks per inch) for hard disk drives, the actuator must induce less air turbulence. Also, alternative cross sections for the actuator arms are proposed for the reduction of air turbulence. In this study, off-track vibration of actuator arms used in of 3.5" hard disk drives with different cross sections have been measured by using Laser Doppler Vibrometer (LDV). It has been found that the vibration of the actuator arms with modified cross sections is lower than the conventional one.
The purpose of this study is to compare the quality and characteristics of matching DEMs by using KOMPSAT-3 stereo pair capture in in-track and cross-track. For this purpose, two stereo pairs of KOMPSAT-3 were collected that were taken in the same area. The two stereo pairs have similar stereo geometry elements such as B/H, convergence angle. Sensor modeling for DEM production was performed with RFM affine calibration using multiple GCPs. The GCPs used in the study were extracted from the 0.25 m ortho-image and 5 meter DEM provided by NGII. In addition, matching DEMs were produced at the same resolution as the reference DEMs for a comparison analysis. As a result of the experiment, the horizontal and vertical errors at the CPs indicated an accuracy of 1 to 3 pixels. In addition, the shapes and accuracy of two DEMs produced in areas where the effects of natural or artificial surface land were low were almost similar.
Railway bridges are divided into ballastless and ballast track bridges. The ballast abrasion occurs on the ballast track upon bridges more than soil roadbed because the track vibration occurs a lot in the ballast track upon bridges due to girder vibration when a train's weight is loaded onto track even though the identical ballast is used. The phenomena of mud pumping especially, which occurs when drainage is not properly secured for heavy rain, leads to the increase of maintenance work load and the decline of ride comfort. There are countermeasures such as ballast change, installation of cross-drainage for poor drainage, gutter establishment, ballast lifting methods, ballast mats and resilient sleepers laying for the mud pumping. The ballast thickness range in domestic railroad construction rule is uniformly set up according to the design speed of railroad and passing tonnage of train without considering field conditions which is considered in foreign railroad companies. The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of vibration decrease by measuring the acceleration, displacement and ride comfort of ballast track with the change of ballast thickness on the ballast track bridges and to suggest the optimal height of ballast on the Yocheon Bridge built for the test in Honam Line.

In this paper, the characteristics analysis of LMD track, such as including track structure, track wear resistance and track thickness, were analyzed to enhance the deposition efficiency using a diode-pumped disk laser. SKD61 hot work steel plate and Fe based AISI M2 alloy were used as a the substrate and powder for the LMD process, respectively. The laser power, track pitch and powder feed rate among LMD parameters were adopted to estimate the deposition efficiency. As the laser power is increased, heat input and melting pool on the substrate is grown also increases, so resulting in the increased LMD track thickness was increased. Through EPMA mapping analysis of the cross-section in the LMD track, it was observed that all the elements are evenly distributed inside. Therefore, the entire hardness in the LMD track is expected to be almost uniform regardless of location. The characteristics of the LMD specimen were excellent compared to the STD11 specimen in terms of the wear track width and the wear rate as well as the coefficient of friction. Especially the wear rate of LMD specimen has been significantly reduced by 60 % or more. From Based on the experimental results, the prediction formula of LMD thickness was calculated by using laser power, track pitch and powder feed rate.

In this paper, a flexible track modeling of turnout was developed and dynamic characteristics of turnout rails were analyzed when a vehicle passed through the turnout. The flexible track modeling is effective to the stiffness and durability design of turnout, because it can capture the deformation and dynamic stress due to the collision of between wheels and rails when the vehicle move to the tongue rail. Also, a more accurate running safety can be obtained by considering the interaction between wheel and rail deformation. Solid finite elements were used for variable cross-sections of rails and the variation of rubber stiffness was modeled. The proposed flexible track modeling in this paper was verified to be valid by comparison with the experiment of the turnout system.
The riding comfort and the durability of train are effected by the rail irregularities such as track gauge, superelevation, alignment, longitudinal level, twist, cant and cross level. Inspection and estimation of irregularities are very important to maintain the rail condition. Generally, the EM120 has been utilized to measure the rail irregularities once a month in Korea. However, the EM120 can be operated at night time only, because the inspection speed of EM120 is much slower than the speed of high-speed trains. Also, the EM120 is too slow to inspect effectively for the whole commercial line. Therefore, we have mounted the track inspection system on the High-Speed Rolling Stock 350 eXperimental (HSR350X) and measured the rail irregularities to confirm the condition of a rail while running 300km/h. In this paper, the track inspection system mounted on HSR350X is mainly considered, and the measured results through test run are introduced.

Quantitative Mokpo-Jeju undersea tunnel is currently on the basis plan for reviewing validation. As for the cross section shape for express boat of 105 km line, sing track two tube is being reviewed as the Euro tunnel equipped with service tunnel. Also, 10 carriage trains have been planned to operate 76 times for one way a day. So, in this study, quantitative risk assessment method is settled, which is intended to review the optimal space between evacuation connection hall of tunnel by quantitative risk analysis method. In addition to this, optimal evacuation connection hall space is calculated by the types of cross section, which are Type 3 (double track single tube), Type 1 (sing track two tube), and Type 2 (separating double track on tube with partition). As a result, cross section of Type 2 is most efficient for securing evacuation safety, and the evacuation connection space is required for 350 m in Type 1, 400 m in Type 2, and 1,500 m in Type3 to satisfy current domestic social risk assessment standard.

Generally, field performance of elastomeric track pad components has been poor, especially for the medium to heavy tonnage tracked vehicles, which are operated on the hilly cross-country course. The service life of these track pad, is affected not only by the terrain and environmental conditions but also by the speed, cornering, braking, weight of the vehicle, and the track tread design. In this research, modulus, tearing energy, and the rate of crack propagation of vulcanizates are evaluated by changing base materials to improve the service time of track pad. By increasing the contents of carbon black, modulus, tearing energy, and fatigue crack growth resistance of vulcanizates improved. Compared with the NR vulcanizate, the HNBR vulcanizate had a higher value of tearing energy. The rate of crack propagation of vulcanizates using smaller size carbon black was slower than that using larger size carbon black. When the HNBR was blended with the ZSC, the tearing energy of the vulcanizates was a little reduced because of the high modulus but the crack propagation rate was reduced significantly. In the relation between the crack propagation rate and the strain energy release rate, though up to 100% strain were applied to specimens, the slope on the log scale ($\beta$) varied between 1.72 and 2.3 with the kind of elastomer.
