간호학 전공 성인학습자의 대학생활 적응과 외로움 (College Life Adaptation and Loneliness among Non-Traditional Adult Learners Majoring in Nursing)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 간호학 전공 성인학습자들의 대학생활 적응과 외로움을 알아보는 것이다. 횡단적 조사연구가 실시되었다. G시에 소재한 4개 4년제 대학에서 110명의 대상자가 선정되었다. 일반적 특성, 대학생활 적응 척도, UCLA 외로움 척도를 포함한 구조적 설문지가 연구도구로 사용되었다. 자료 분석을 위해 기술통계, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients가 사용되었다. 대학생활 적응 평균은 44.8점이었고, 외로움 정도는 40.3점이었다. 대학생활 적응은 대상자가 인식하는 건강상태에 따라 유의한 차이가 있었다. 외로움은 학년에 따라 유의한 차이를 보였다. 대학생활 적응과 외로움 간에는 유의한 정적 상관관계가 있었다. 즉, 외로움이 클수록 대학생활 적응은 낮았다. 따라서 이 결과들은 국내 대학들이 다양한 배경을 가진 성인학습자들의 대학생활 적응을 증진시키기 위해서는 외로움과 같은 심리적 상태에 관심을 가져야 함을 보여준다.

A Cross-layer Link Adaptive HD Video Transmission Scheme in WiMedia D-MAC based UWB Systems

  • In this paper, we propose a QoS (Quality of Service)-aware and cooperative resource reservation scheme using cross-layer link adaptation for wireless high definition video transmission through UWB (Ultra Wide Band) network with D-MAC (Distributed Medium Access Control). A wireless high definition video transmission system usually requires stable high throughput even without line-of-sight, e.g., a destination device in another room separated by a wall. Since the WiMedia D-MAC supporting DRP (Distributed Reservation Protocol) scheme causes lots of DRP resource reservation conflicts due to failure of beacon detection in wireless channel environment, overall performances of the WiMedia D-MAC can be deteriorated. And the current WiMedia MAC standard has not considered QoS provisioning even though QoS parameters such as a range of service rates are provided to each traffic stream. Therefore, we propose Relay DRP protocol with QoS-based relay node selection criterion, which makes a relay path to avoid DRP resource reservation conflicts and guarantee QoS more stably through cross-layer link adaptation of cooperative relay transmission scheme and is compliant with the current WiMedia D-MAC protocol. Simulation results demonstrate performance improvements of the proposed method for throughput and QoS provisioning.

Changes in Cell Membrane Fatty Acid Composition of Streptococcus thermophilus in Response to Gradually Increasing Heat Temperature

  • In this study, a method of heat adaptation was implemented in an attempt to increase the upper thermal threshold of two Streptococcus thermophilus found in South Korea and identified the alterations in membrane fatty acid composition to adaptive response to heat. In order to develop heat tolerant lactic acid bacteria, heat treatment was continuously applied to bacteria by increasing temperature from 60℃ until the point that no surviving cell was detected. Our results indicated significant increase in heat tolerance of heat-adapted strains compared to the wild type (WT) strains. In particular, the survival ratio of basically low heat-tolerant strain increased even more. In addition, the strains with improved heat tolerance acquired cross protection, which improved their survival ratio in acid, bile salts and osmotic conditions. A relation between heat tolerance and membrane fatty acid composition was identified. As a result of heat adaptation, the ratio of unsaturated to saturated fatty acids (UFA/SFA) and C18:1 relative concentration were decreased. C6:0 in only heat-adapted strains and C22:0 in only the naturally high heat tolerant strain were detected. These results support the hypothesis, that the consequent increase of SFA ratio is a cellular response to environmental stresses such as high temperatures, and it is able to protect the cells from acid, bile salts and osmotic conditions via cross protection. This study demonstrated that the increase in heat tolerance can be utilized as a mean to improve bacterial tolerance against various environmental stresses.

간호대학생의 MBTI 성격유형에 따른 스트레스 정도, 스트레스 대처방식 및 학교적응 (Stress, Stress Coping, and School Adaptation according to Myers-Briggs Type Indicator(MBTI) Personality Type in Freshmen Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to describe stress, stress coping, and school adaptation according to Myers-Briggs type indicator(MBTI) personality type in freshmen nursing students. Methods: This study was a cross sectional survey and the data was collected from 267 freshmen nursing students by means of self reported questionnaires from March 3 to 30, 2012. Collected data were analyzed on SPSS win 18.0. Results: 16 personality types were all seen in this study participants. There were no significant differences in stress, stress coping, and school adaptation according to 4 functions and 4 temperaments of MBTI. Conclusion: Nursing students show various personality types and we need to understand their diversity and reflect it to a school curriculum or education program development. Further study is required to identify the effects of self-understanding program on stress management and school adaptation.

ICF 한글개정판 개발 (Development of Revised Korean Version of ICF)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to translate and culturally adapt the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) into the Korean language. Methods: The process of translation and adaptation of the ICF used here followed the translation guidelines of WHO. Implementation of this procedure comprised of four steps; forward translation, expert panel back-translation, pre-testing and cognitive interviewing, and final adaptation. The translators included health professionals with knowledge of ICF and non-health professionals blinded to the ICF. Clinical academics with significant experience in the use of disability survey, medical doctors, special educators, related policy makers, clinicians, architecture professionals, and international experts in ICF were invited to integrate all versions of the ICF for testing; 151 clinicians volunteered from 19 medical institutes across the country. Four different core-sets and a questionnaire were used for testing its practical usability and adaptation. Results: All translations were reviewed and a consensus was reached on any discrepancy from the earlier versions. Over 90% of the newly translated version of K-ICF was found to be different from the 2004 K-ICF version in the ICF language. Understanding of K-ICF language was responded difficult and very difficult by 50% of participants, whereas its practical use was responded 'useful' by more than 50% of subjects. Conclusion: It can be suggested that the new version of K-ICF should be widely used for final adaptation in the field of areas. Future studies will be required for implementation of K-ICF.

중국과 베트남 결혼이주여성의 임신과 산후적응 요구 비교 (Comparison of Needs for Pregnancy and Postpartum Adaptation of Chinese Immigrant Women and Vietnamese Immigrant Women in South Korea)

  • Purpose: To identify needs for pregnancy and postpartum adaptation of Chinese immigrant women and Vietnamese immigrant women in South Korea. Methods: A descriptive research design was employed. Data were collected from 244 Chinese immigrant women and Vietnamese immigrant women from 3 provinces, 20 health care centers, and multi-cultural family support centers. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test and ANOVA. Results: An average score for needs perceived by Chinese immigrant women was significantly higher than that perceived by Vietnamese immigrant women. There were significantly differences in physical and emotional adaptation after childbirth, nutrition during pregnancy, cross cultural understanding and personal respect, and adaptation daily activity during pregnancy between the 2 groups. The highest score of needs in Chinese immigrant women was for nutrition during pregnancy and that in Vietnamese immigrant women was for baby rearing and family support. Conclusion: Based on needs of pregnancy and postpartum adaption, nursing intervention program in consideration of cultural characteristics of Chinese immigrant women and Vietnam immigrant women need to be developed for their pregnancy and postpartum health care.

외국인 선원의 혼승 형태와 비율, 이문화 수용 및 적응에 따른 선박조직의 집단응집성과 직무만족 및 조직몰입에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effects of the Type of Mixed Manning and the Ratio of Foreign Crew, the Acceptance and Adaptation of Cross-Culture to the Group Cohesiveness, Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment in Ship Organizations)

  • 본 연구는 외국인 선원의 혼승형태와 혼승비율, 이문화 수용 및 적응에 따른 집단응집성, 조직몰입 및 직무만족의 인과관계를 규명하기 위한 연구모형과 가설을 설정하였다. 가설 검증을 위해 혼승선박을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하고 변인들의 관계를 회귀분석을 통해 실증분석하였다. 분석결과, 한국인 선 기관장과 외국인 사관 혼승선박의 집단응집성과 조직몰입 및 직무만족이 한국인 선 기관장과 한국인 사관 승선선박 보다 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 혼승비율에서는 외국인 선원의 비율이 31~50%일 경우의 집단응집성이 다른 혼승 비율에 비해 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 혼승형태 및 비율과 집단응집성에 대한 이문화 수용과 적응의 조절효과는 나타나지 않았다. 그리고 집단응집성이 높은 혼승선박에서는 조직몰입도와 직무만족도가 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 해운선사 및 선박관리사에 선원들의 직급별 혼승형태와 외국인 혼승비율을 조절하여 혼승선박 내의 집단응집성과 직무만족도 및 조직몰입도를 높여줄 수 있다는 것을 제시하고 있다.

How Job Stress and Psychological Adaptation Predicting Interpersonal Needs Among Female Migrant Manufacturing Workers in China: A Structural Equation Model

  • Background: This study aimed to explore relationships between job stress and psychological adaptation and how they related to interpersonal needs through mood states among female migrant manufacturing workers. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted in 16 factories in Shenzhen, China. Sociodemographic, job stress, psychological adaptation and other psychological information of was collected. Structural equation modeling was performed to delineate the internal relationship between variables. Results: The hypothetical structural equation model exhibited acceptable model fit among female migrant manufacturing workers (χ2 = 11.635, df = 2, χ2/df = 5.82, p = 0.003, RMSEA = 0.090, CFI = 0.972, SRMR = 0.020). Job stress was directly associated with mood states and interpersonal needs; Psychological adaptation was directly associated with mood states and indirectly associated with interpersonal needs; Bootstrapping tests demonstrated mediation effect of mood states in the way from psychological adaptation to interpersonal needs. Conclusion: Female migrant manufacturing workers who suffered stress from job and the process of psychological adaptation may have worse mood states and workers with worse mood states are more likely to develop unmet interpersonal needs, a proximal factor of suicidal ideation.

크로스레이어 디자인에서 사이드 인포메이션을 활용한 채널 추정 및 예측 (Channel Estimation and Prediction in Cross-Layer Design Using Side-information)

  • MPEG에서 진행 중인 MPEG Media Transport(MMT) 표준화는 IP기반 방송통신융합망에서 효과적인 멀티미디어 전송을 목적으로 하고 있다. 본 고에서는 MMT 제안 기술로서, 유선망에 비해 채널의 변화가 많은 무선망에서 효과적인 멀티미디어 전송을 위해 제안된 크로스레이어 디자인(Cross Layer Design-CLD)에서의 신호세기(signal strength information) 활용 방법을 소개한다. 무선환경에서 신호세기를 활용하면 매우 효율적인 멀티미디어 전송이 가능함은 관련 연구 논문[1]-[5]을 통해 증명되었다. 하지만, 무선채널의 특성상 서로 다른 신호세기의 범위를 사용함으로써 신호세기 정보의 유용성에도 불구하고 레이트 어댑테이션 애플리케이션에서 활용하는데 제한이 있어왔다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 MMT 표준화 기술 기고로 제안된 무선채널 신호세기 정보의 범위를 표준화된 형식으로 활용하는 방법에 대하여 기술한다.

부정적 평가에 대한 두려움, 인지적 정서조절이 신규간호사의 현장적응에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Fear of Negative Evaluation, Cognitive Emotional Regulation on Field Adaptation of New Graduate Nurses)

  • 본 연구는 부정적 평가의 두려움, 인지적 정서조절이 신규간호사의 현장적응에 미치는 영향을 조사하고, 인지적 정서조절이 조절효과로 작용하는지를 알아보고자 시도하였다. 연구대상은 1년 미만의 신규간호사 181명을 대상으로 자가보고 설문지를 실시하여 자료를 수집하였다. 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움 점수 3.25점, 인지적 정서조절 점수 3.18점, 현장적응 점수는 2.92점이었다. 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움이 클수록 부적응적 인지조절의 사용이 많았고 현장적응은 낮았다. 또한 부정적평가에 대한 두려움과 현장적응 사이에 인지적 정서조절효과는 나타나지 않았다. 이 결과로, 신규간호사들이 새로운 환경에 적응하도록 돕기 위해 자신감 증진 프로그램과 적응적 인지적 정서조절 사용을 위한 중재 프로그램이 필요하다.
