반하(半夏) 캘러스로부터 식물체(植物體) 재생(再生)과 기내(器內) 괴경(塊莖) 생장(生長) 유도(誘導) (Plant Regeneration and in vitro Tuber Enlargement from Callus in Pinellia ternata(Thunb.) Breit)

  • 반하(半夏)의 엽절편(葉切片)을 배양(培養)하여 유도(誘導)한 Callus로부터 식물재분화(植物再分化)에 미치는 온도(溫度)와 광조건(光條件) 그리고 기내(器內) 괴경(塊莖) 비대(肥大)를 위한 배지내(培地內) 실소원(室素源)의 영향(影響) 등에 대하여 검토(檢討)한 결과(結果)는 다음과 같다. 1. 엽절(葉切)으로부터의 Callus 형성(形成)과 기관분화(器官分化)에는 2, 4-D 또는 NAA의 첨가(添加)가 IAA 첨가(添加)보다 좋았으며, 배양조건(培養條件)으로는 $26^{\circ}C$에서 8시간(時間)/ 일(日), 명배양(明培)하는 것이 효과적(效果的)이었다. 2. Callus로부터 식물체(植物體)를 재분화하기 위한 적정배지(適正培地)는 MS 배지(培地)에 BA $2mg/{\ell}$를 첨가(添加)하였을 때 좋았으며, 배양환경(培養環境)은 $26^{\circ}C$에서 $16{\sim}24$시간(時間)/일(日) 명배양(明培養)시키는 것이 좋았다. 3. 배지내(培地內)에 $KNO_3\;3.0g/{\ell}$처리(處理)하였을 때 식물체(植物體) 재분화배지(再分化培地) MS+BA $2mg/{\ell}$에 비하여 기내괴경(器內塊莖)의 비대(肥大)가 2.5배(培) 이상(以上)에 달하였다.

Development of Crop Growth Model under Different Soil Moisture Status

  • It is necessary to maintain stable crop productions under the unsuitable environments, because the drought and flood may be frequently caused by the global warming. Therefore, it is agent to improve the crop growth model corresponded to soil moisture status. Chili pepper (Capsicum annuum) is one of the useful crop in Asia, and then it is affected by change of precipitation in consequence drought and flood occur however crop model to evaluate water stresses on chili pepper is not enough yet. In this study, development of crop model under different soil moisture status was attempted. The experiment was conducted on the slope fields in the greenhouse. The water level was kept at 20cm above the bottom of the container. Habanero (C. chinense) was used as material for crop model. Sap bleeding rate, SPAD value, chlorophyll content, stomatal conductance, leaf water potential, plant height, leaf area and shoot dry weight were measured at 10 days after treatment (DAT) and 13 DAT. Moreover, temperature and RH in the greenhouse, soil volume water contents (VWC) and soil water potential were measured. As a result, VWC showed 4.0% at the driest plot and 31.4% at the wettest plot at 13 DAT. The growth model was calculated using WVC and the growth analysis parameters. It was considered available, because its coefficient of determination showed 0.84 and there are significant relationship based on plants physiology among the parameters and the changes over time. Furthermore, we analyzed the important factors for higher accuracy prediction using multiple regression analysis.

Effect of Biofertilizers on Vegetative Growth of Okra

  • An experiment was carried out at the Field Laboratory of the Department of Crop Botany, Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh from March to July, 2001 to investigate the effect of biofertilizers on morpho-physiological characters of okra. The experiment was laid out in a randomized complete block design with four replications. There were nine treatments such as $\textrm{T}_0$ (control), $\textrm{T}_1$ (Azotobacter biofertilizer), $\textrm{T}_2$ (Azospirillum biofertilizer), $\textrm{T}_3$ (Azotobacter+Azospirillum biofertilizers), $\textrm{T}_4$ (Azotobacter+Cowdung 5 ton $\textrm{ha}^{-1}$), $\textrm{T}_5$ (Azospirillum+Cowdung 5 ton $\textrm{ha}^{-1}$), $\textrm{T}_6$(Azotobacter+Azospirillum+Cowdung 5 ton $\textrm{ha}^{-1}$), $\textrm{T}_7$ (Cowdung 5 ton $\textrm{ha}^{-1}$) and $\textrm{T}_8$ (60% Nitrogen). The experimental results revealed that significant variations exist among the treatments regarding morphological characters e.g. plant height, number of leaves/plant, stem base diameter, tap root length, and physiological characters like, root dry weight, leaf area index and crop growth rate. Number of leaves/plant, stem base diameter, root length, root dry weight, leaf area index and crop growth rate were found higher in $\textrm{T}_4$, $\textrm{T}_5$, $\textrm{T}_6$ and $\textrm{T}_8$ than the others. In all the parameters, $\textrm{T}_8$ gave the similar result with biofertilizers in combination with cowdung treatments and $\textrm{T}_7$ showed identical with $\textrm{T}_0$ (control). Biofertilizer treatments had insignificant effect on 1000-seed weight(g). Experimental results mentioned above revealed that morpho-physioligical characters of okra could be modified by the application of biofertilizer+cowdung. However, biofertilizers+Cowdung treatments were comparable to $\textrm{T}_8$(60% Nitrogen) in this study. This suggests that $\textrm{T}_4$ or $\textrm{T}_6$ or $\textrm{T}_5$ were more benificial in environmentally friendly okra cultivation and may be used as an alternative of inorganic nitrogen by saving cost of production and sustaining productivity.

수도 웅성불임제로서 Sodium Methyl Arsenate의 효과 (Effect of Sodium Methyl Arsenate as a Male Gametocide on Rice (Oryza sativa L.))

  • 웅성 불임제를 이용한 바 1대잡종 종자 생산체계를 대립하고자 웅성불임제인 sodium methyl arsenate의 적정 처리농도, 처리시기, 처리량 및 품종간 반응에 대하여 검사한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 웅성불임 유발에 적절한 약제의 처리농도는 0.02%이었고, 웅성불임 유발률은 처리량에 관계없이 출수전 5일 이전 처리에서 99% 이상이었다. 2. 자방 생존률은 처리량이 적을수록 또 처리시기가 늦을수록 높은 경향으로 출수 전 5일 이후 처리에서 18.8∼33.8%이었다. 자방 생존률은 동일처리 조건에서도 품종에 따라 달랐으며 태백벼가 25.8%로 가장 높았고, 용문벼가 10.3%로 가장 낮았다. 3. 종자의 발아률은 약제 처리량이 많을수록 낮아지는 경향이었다. 4. sodium methyl arsenate 처리는 약해를 유발시키고 간장과 수장이 짧아지며 수당 입수가 감소하는 등의 생육 저해를 초래하였으며 특히 이삭의 추출이 불량하였는데 이러한 점들은 앞으로 개선해 나가야 할 것이다.
