굴착과정에서 록볼트로 보강된 절리암반의 점소성 거동 분석 (A Study on the visco-plastic behavior of the jointed rock mass reinforced by rockbolts during excavation)

  • A two dimensional visco-plastic finite element model capable of handling the multistep excavaton was developed for investigating the effect of excavation-support sequences on the behaviour of underground openings in the jointed rock mass. Ubiquitous joint pattern was considered in the model and joint properties in each set were assumed to be identical. Passive, fully-grouted rockbolts were considered in the model. Visco-plastic deformations of joints and rockbolts were assumed to be governed by Mohr-Coulomb and von Mises yield criteria, respectively. With the ability of removing elements, the model can von Mises yield criteria, respectively. With the ability of removing elements, the model can simulate the multi-step excavation-support sequences. The reliability of the model to the stability analysis for the underground excavation in practice was checked by simulating the behavior of underground crude oil storage caverns under construction.

수치해석을 이용한 이중보온관 발파진동 관리기준에 관한 연구 (A Study on Blasting Vibration Control Criteria for Pre-insulated Pipe through the Numerical Analysis)

  • 본 논문에서는 이중보온관의 발파진동 관리기준 제시를 위하여 이격거리와 매설심도를 변수로하여 수치해석을 수행하였다. 수치해석 적용 발파하중 모델은 현장시험 결과와의 비교를 통하여 검증하였다. 수치해석 결과, 이중보온관은 진동속도 4.0cm/sec 이상에서 발생 유효응력이 내관의 허용응력을 초과하거나 근접하는 것으로 나타났으며, 4.0cm/sec 이하에서 안정성이 확보되는 것으로 평가되었다. 따라서, 이중보온관의 진동관리기준은 4.0cm/sec를 초과하지 않도록 관리하여야 할 것으로 판단된다.

  • A motorcycle helmet is very essential to protect the head of driver and it is directly connected to driver's life. Prior to producing the helmet, it has to be passed the process of impact test to evaluate its safety. This test evaluates peak acceleration and head injury criteria (H.I.C.). This paper simulates the impact test with finite element method to find the behavior of helmet during the test. Also, the effect of impact sites on the helmet was evaluated to improve the thickness distribution of the helmet.

  • In general, deflection limit criteria of bridge design specifications would have been considered based on the static serviceability and structural stability. Dynamic serviceability induced from bridge vibration, as a comfort limit, actually has not been included in the criteria. Thus, it is necessary for dynamic serviceability to be considered in bridge vibration problems and for comfort limit on vibration to be needed for evaluating dynamic serviceability of bridges. In this paper, comfort limits of bridge structures considering the time duration exposed by vibration were examined with frequency and time dependent comfort limits, and they were evaluated by using the vibration signals measured from the existing bridges. Therefore, it is resulted that the time-dependent comfort limit considering the duration of vibration is an efficient estimate for evaluating dynamic serviceability of bridges.

단체법 프로그램 LPAKO 개발에 관한 연구 (Development of LPAKO : Software of Simplex Method for Liner Programming)

  • The purpose of this paper is to develope a large-scale simplex method program LPAKO. Various up-to-date techniques are argued and implemented. In LPAKO, basis matrices are stored in a LU factorized form, and Reid's method is used to update LU maintaining high sparsity and numerical stability, and further Markowitz's ordering is used in factorizing a basis matrix into a sparse LU form. As the data structures of basis matrix, Gustavson's data structure and row-column linked list structure are considered. The various criteria for reinversion are also discussed. The dynamic steepest-edge simplex algorithm is used for selection of an entering variable, and a new variation of the MINOS' perturbation technique is suggested for the resolution of degeneracy. Many preprocessing and scaling techniques are implemented. In addition, a new, effective initial basis construction method are suggested, and the criteria for optimality and infeasibility are suggested respectively. Finally, LPAKO is compared with MINOS by test results.

  • In this study, performance level evaluation tests have been actually performed on laminated rubber seismic isolation bearings (LRB) made in Korea. To provide basic data for setting up fabrication criteria and performance evaluation criteria three real scale LRB were tested and the test results were analysised. Accordingly, a large capacity test device has been designed and manufactured to implement the tests. The device selected for evaluation is a circular LRB actually applied in bridges. Evaluation tests were conducted using full-scale LRB with diameter of 851mm in the rubber part and total height of 215mm of which the effective horizontal stiffness and equivalent damping ratio have been measured during the experiments.

TOPSIS-Based Decision-Making Model for Demolition Method Selection

  • An efficient demolition process requires the optimum method selection considering stability, economic feasibility, environment, and workability. In reality the construction cost and period are priority concerns, and safe construction methods are neglected. In addition, the choosing demolition method is often determined subjectively by experienced field engineers. This research paper presents a multi-criteria decision-making method using Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) to select the optimum demolition method. Three experienced demolition engineers' opinions were used to develop the TOPSIS model. The case study showed that the preferences of ten attribute measurements for demolition method selection. Authors suggested the most preferable demolition method for the case study project.

  • 군용항공기 산업의 비약적인 발전으로 정부의 군용항공기 감항인증은 점차적으로 중요한 역할을 차지하고 있다. 감항인증은 모든 항공기가 전 수명주기 동안 운용범위 내에서 비행안전에 적합하도록 항공기 개발에 필수적으로 요구되는 절차이다. 감항인증의 도입은 단일 수요자의 요구도에 부합되게 개발 해왔던 기존의 개발 사업특성에서 다수의 수요자의 공통의 요구도를 맞춘 개발 패러다임의 변화로 이끌어 가고 있다. 본 논문에서는 전투기급 항공기의 비행제어법칙의 감항인증 기준 설정에 대한 상세 연구와 감항인증 기술기준에 대한 입증 분석을 결과로 제시하였다.

진동사용성을 고려한 철도교량구조물의 강성한계 분석 (Estimation of Stiffness Limit for Railway Bridge Vibration Serviceability)

  • In general, deflection limit criteria of bridge design specifications have been considered based on static serviceability and structural stability. Dynamic serviceability induced from bridge vibration actually has not been included in the criteria. Thus, it is necessary for comfort limit to be considered in order to check dynamic serviceability on bridge vibration. In this study, the comfort limit of bridge structures based on the RMQ and VDV considering the signal fluctuation effectively and the time duration exposed has been constructed. The comfort limit developed in time domain was verified by using vibration signals directly measured from the existing bridges. Comparing the developed comfort limit with the conventional ones defined in frequency domain, it is shown that the comfort limit developed in time domain would be more feasible for evaluating quantitatively the serviceability due to bridge vibration. Using the Bridge-train interaction analysis program, dynamic response of the bridge by the stiffness change were obtained for several railway bridges. And, a stiffness limit satisfying the bridge vibration serviceability was estimated by compared with comport limit. From the results, a new deflection limit on bridge structures satisfying the vibration serviceability could be proposed by comparing with the conventional deflection limit criteria.
