SUS 304鋼 의 크리이프 溫度領域 에 관한 時間依存型 및 사이클依存型 疲勞크랙 傳播 의 遷移 (Transition from Cycle-Dependent to Time-Dependent Fatigue Crack Propagation at Creep Temperature of SUS 304 Steel)

  • 본 논문에서는 이상과 같은 연구현상을 배경으로 응력비 R.geq.0인 사인응력파 에서도 사이클의존형 크랙전파가 공존하는가, 공존한다면 그 전이를 결정짓는 조건을 구하기 위해, 대표적인 고온용 재료인 SUS 304강을 이용하여 온도 650.deg. C, 대기중에서 반복속도 .nu., 응력비 R, 응력레벨 .sigma.$_{maxo}$등의 실험조건을 바꾸어 고온저사이클 피로실험을 하였다. 또 이 현상의 기초과정을 이해하는데 도움을 주기 위하여 파면 관찰을 행하였다.

  • To check technical improvement in the soundness and strength of 12% Cr steel rotor, a 25 tons of rotor with 65 tons of ingot was made in real size and was cut to pieces to take test samples, and the various mechanical tests such as impact, tensile, creep, and fatigue were carried out. The strengths are compared with those of 1% Cr-Mo-V rotor of same size. Microstructures of the samples are examined and reviewed. The results can be summarized as follows. 1) Fracture appearance transition temperatures are 80.deg. C at the center part and 60.deg. C near surface of 12% Cr rotor, and 8.deg. C near surface of 1% Cr-Mo-V rotor. 2) Comparative rapid softening occurs at higher temperatures above 600.deg. C for 12% Cr steel and 550.deg. C for 1% Cr-Mo-V steel in tension tests. 3) Fatigue crack propagation rate of 12% Cr steel is almost same as that of 1% Cr-Mo-V steel at the same corresponding surface part of the rotors. The crack growth rate of center part of 12% Cr rotor is faster than near surface part of the rotor, and the crack growth rate at the load condition of R=0.04 is slower than that of the load condition of R=0.5 for both 12% Cr steel and 1% Cr-Mo-V steel. 4) Crack growth rate of radial direction near surface of 12% Cr rotor is faster than that of transverse direction at the same part because of the difference in residual stresses. 5) Both creep and fatigue strengths of 12% Cr steel are superior to those of 1% Cr-Mo-V steel and the difference is thought the effect of climb and glide controlled creep by solid solution of alloying elements and dispersion of carbides.

  • 본(本) 연구(硏究)에서는 304스테인리스강을 사용한 평활재와 작은 인공피트재의 고온 피로시험(疲勞試驗)과 크리프 시험(試驗)을 $593^{\circ}C$의 대기중에서 실시하고, 표면의 분포균열을 실온에서 레프리카법으로 연속적으로 관찰하고, 표면균열의 발생, 성장, 합체 거동을 관측하여, 균열 밀도(密度) 길이의 분포등의 정량적인 통계적(統計的) 성질(性質)에 대하여 검토하는 동시에, 파괴역학적으로 시험편의 수명을 지배하는 주균열의 성장거동 및 수명예측을 실시한 것이다. 또 실온의 결과와 고온피로(疲勞) 및 크리프 경우의 미소 분포균열의 통계적(統計的) 결과를 비교 검토하였다.

SiC 휘스커 보강 Al 6061 복합재료의 피로균열진전 특성에 관한 기초 연구 (The Basic Study on Fatigue Crack Growth Behavior of SiC Whisker Reinforced Aluminium 6061 Composite Material)

  • SiCw/Al composite material is especially attractive because of their superior specific strength, specific stiffness, corrosion fatigue resistance, creep resistance, and wear resistance compared with the corresponding wrought Al alloy. In this study, Fatigue crack growth behavior and fatigue crack path morphology(FCPM) of SiC whisker reinforced Al 6061 alloy with 25% SiC volume fraction and Al 6061 allay were performed. Result of the fatigue crack growth test sgiwed that fatigue crack growth rate of SiCw/Al 6061 composite was slower than that of Al 6061 matrix therefore it was confirmed that Sic whisker have a excellent fatigue resistance. And Al 6061 matrix had only FCPM perpendicular to loading direction. On the other hand SiCw/Al 6061 composite had three types in fatigue crack path morphology. First type is that both sides FCPM of artificial notch are perpendicular to loading direction. Second type is that a FCPM in artifical notch has slant angle to loading direction and the other side FCPM is perpendicular to loading direction. Third type is that both sides FCPM of notch have slant angle to loading direction. It was considered that this kinds of phenomena were due to non-uniform distribution of SiC whisker and confirmed by SEM observation for fracture mechanism study.

${\Delta}J$-적분을 이용한 점탄성 재료의 피로균열 성장분석 (Analysis of Fatigue Crack Growth in a Viscoelastic Material using ${\Delta}J$-integral)

  • 본 논문에서는 점탄성 재료의 피로균열 성장을 분석하기 위해 ${\Delta}J$-적분을 이용하였다. J-적분의 계산 시 기존의 수치해석 방법이 아닌 해석적인 적분 해를 도출하여 계산시간을 절감하고 정확도를 크게 높였다. 계산 시 응력확대계수는 특정 균열에 대해 참조하는 방법이 아닌 유한요소해석을 통해 구하는 방법을 사용하였다. 기존의 ${\Delta}K$를 이용한 피로균열 예측과는 달리 크리프 변형계수, 단 두 개의 피로성장 모델 변수만을 가지고 다양한 하중과 하중주기에서의 피로균열 성장을 성공적으로 분석할 수 있었다.

  • An investigation of the crack propagation behavior of Al2O3-33Vol.% SiCw at 140$0^{\circ}C$ was conducted with various loading frequencies. Higher crack propagation was observed in lower frequency and higher load ratios. Interface sliding fracture due to glassy phase from the oxidation of SiCw and cavitation along grain boundary of diffusional creep appeared to be the main mechanism of fatigue fracture in slower crack propagation while interface sliding and whisker pull out aided by glassy phase formation played main role of fatigue fracture for higher crack growth condition. The frequency effect on deformation behavior was discussed with a Maxwell model.

  • For the case of creep-fatigue interaction, the damage zone developed in front of the growing crack-tip during creep regime is important because it can affect the damage mechanism to be occured by the following fatigue load. These are studied in theis paper through proper consideration of the cavitiy-size dependent sintering stress which is approximated by polynomials. It is shown that the inclination of reversed damage zone size with respect to the applied load parameter can be explained by considering realistic sintering stress distribution. However, the resultant stress field has $r^{1/2+\theta}$ singularity, regardliss of the profile of variable sintering stress, which is the same to that case solved for constant sintering stress.
