온라인 창의성 교육에 있어 학습 환경과 교육 프로그램의 특성에 관한 실증연구 (Experimental Investigation of the Effects of Learning Environment and The Nature of Educational Program on the Outcome of Creativity Training)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of computer-based creativity training. Four groups of vocational high school students totaling 151 were used as experimental subjects. Two dimensions of treatment were designed. One treatment dimension is the use of computer medium in education: computer based vs. paper-pencil setting of education. The second treatment dimension is the method of creativity training: technique-oriented training program vs. factor-oriented training program. Both a pretest and a post-test were administered to all participated students. The tests were composed of a Creative Figural Test and a Creative Product Test. After the pretest 8 sessions of creative training were delivered as intended in the design of the experiment. The Dost-test was arranged a week after the completion of the training sessions. The results of the study include: First, all the 4 groups showed certain amount of improvements in their scores of Creative Figural Test, while no improvements was observed in the creative product test score. Second, the technique-oriented creativity training was more effective than the factor-oriented under the context of computer-based education, and the factor-oriented training was more effective in the paper-pencil setting. The results suggest that different pedagogical approaches should be employed for computer-based training as compared to the paper-pencil education.

  • The Purposes of This Study is to investigate the relationships among Multiple Intelligence(MI). Creativity and Home Economics achievements of the middle & high school students. The research of this study are performed as follows Subject of this study were 142 middle school student & 127 girls' high school. And The “Creativity Test” developed by Korean Creativity Research Institute(1998). Multiple Developmental Assesment scale were administrated as data gathering tools And end-term exam scores on 9 subject were collected as the measure of academic achievement. Especially the Home Economics achievement were collected with Written test and performance assesment. The data were analysed by pearson's correlation. The findings of this study were as follows: 1) A statistically significant correlation among the MI and Home Economics achievements in middle school students(linguistic, Logical-mathematical. Musical. Interpersonal, Intrapersonal) and high school students(linguistic, Logical-mathematical, Interpersonal) were found. But There were not statistical difference between another 8 subjects. 2) In middle school students. a statistically significant correlation among the creativity and Home Economics achievements were found But in high school students, statistically significant correlation among the creativity and Home Economics achievements were not found 3) In MI and Home Economics achievements correlation. there were not difference between written test and performance assesment.

  • The purpose of this study was to test the effects of Practical Problem-Based Home Economics Instruction (PPBHEI) on middle school students' creativity, focusing on the content on "clothing management and recycling." This study carried out quasi-experimental research with an independent variable of PPBHEI and a dependent variable of creativity. The experiment was based on a sample of 62 (31 in each group) second grade students in the Cheongju area over four class hours. ANCOVA was performed to examine pre-test and post-test differences between the experimental group and the control group. The results showed that PPBHEI did not improve the level of creativity but improved the level of creative motivation among the sub-elements of creativity (creative thinking, creative tendency, creative motivation). In particular, PPBHEI improved the level of independence in creative tendency, intrinsic motivation, and diligence in creative motivation. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that PPBHEI is effective in improving independence, intrinsic motivation, and diligence in respect of middle school students'creativity.

  • 본 연구는 CSCL 기반 디자인 사고를 적용한 SW교육이 초등학생의 창의성과 문제해결능력에 미치는 효과를 분석하고자 하였다. J대학교 겨울방학 교육기부 신청학생 4, 5, 6학년 28명의 학생을 대상으로 연구를 실시하였다. 실험집단은 CSCL기반 디자인 사고를 적용한 SW교육 프로그램을 개발하여 진행하였다. 창의성과 문제해결능력 사전검사를 실시하고 42시간에 걸쳐 디자인 사고를 적용한 SW교육을 진행한 후 창의성과 문제해결능력 사후검사를 실시하였다. 창의성 검사도구로는 Torrance의 TTCT 도형 검사지 A, B형을 사용하였으며 문제해결능력 검사도구로는 생애능력 측정도구 개발 연구 중 문제해결능력 진단지 초등학생용을 사용하여 분석하였다. 검증 결과, 디자인 사고를 적용한 SW교육이 초등학생의 창의성과 문제해결능력 향상에 효과적인 것으로 나타났다.

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of visual note making method on creativity and science achievement of elementary school students. This study was conducted for the 17 periods of the first semester of the 4th grade students. Seventy nine students were assigned to experimental group and control group. The experimental group was taught through visual note making methods, and the control group was taught by the traditional manner. On the basis of the test of verbal-spatial from NASSP, the subjects were classified to visual-, visual verbal-, verbal preference groups. After this methods had been applied, students of both groups took tests of creativity and science achievement. The results of this study were as follows: 1. In order to investigate the effects of visual note making on creativity and science achievement of the students, students' creativity and science achievement were analyzed by t-test. The experimental group showed significantly higher scores on both of creativity and science achievement than control group. 2. Visual preference group showed significantly higher score on creativity than visualㆍverbal-, and verbal preference group (p<.01), but not significant on science achievement. In conclusion, the instruction applying the visual note making methods was more effective in nurturing student's creativity and science achievement than the traditional instruction.

공학 전공 대학생의 창의성에 나타나는 성차 (Differences of Creativity in Engineering Students by Gender)

  • Recently, it has been emphasized that more girls should be able to contribute to society in the engineering field. However, there is little research for understanding the psychological characteristics of female engineering students. We first must understand their capabilities in order to take advantage of the strengths of female engineering college students. Based on this understanding, it is necessary to provide future educational interventions for them. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the gender differences in creativity in engineering education. Additionally, we wanted to know whether the differences were domain-specific or domain-general differences. For this, we targeted 351 engineering students in Busan and Daegu. An integrated creativity test and engineering creativity test were carried out. It was found that female engineering students had lower scores on both the integrated creativity and engineering creativity tests than male students. These results suggest that we should develop and apply appropriate strategies to enhance the creativity of female students in engineering education.

창의적 수업모듈을 활용한 수업이 창의성 및 과학에 관련된 태도에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Instruction Using Creative Instruction Module on Creativity and Attitude Related to Science)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop an instructional module for creativity(lMC) which was mainly based on a unit ('Sun's family' in the 2nd semester of the 5th grade in the textbook), to verify the effect of this module on Elementary student's creativity and attitudes related to science. The subject in this study was two 5th grade classes from J elementary school located in Busan. One of the group took the lessons which were designed for the IMC, and the other group took the normal classes. The effect of this subject for the experimental group and controlled group was verified by post-test: creativity and attitude related to science. The results of this study are as follows. First, the experimental group showed more creativity than controlled group on the post-test. The IMC was more effective to enhance student's creativity than general class. Second, the IMC was effective to enhance student's creativity without the difference in academic ability level. Third, the IMC was effective to enhance student's creativity without the difference in the gender. Fourth, the IMC was more effective to change student's attitude related to science than general class in the module application.

문제제기 수업이 수학 문제해결력과 창의력에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Problem Posing Teaching on Mathematical Problem-Solving Ability and Creativity)

  • I analyzed the effect of problem posing teaching and teacher-centered teaching on mathematical problem-solving ability and creativity in order to know the efffct of problem posing teaching on mathematics study. After we gave problem posing lessons to the 3rd grade middle school students far 28 weeks, the evaluation result of problem solving ability test and creativity test is as fellows. First, problem posing teaching proved to be more effective in developing problem-solving ability than existing teacher-centered teaching. Second, problem posing teaching proved to be more effective than teacher-centered teaching in developing mathematical creativity, especially fluency and flexibility among the subordinate factors of mathematical creativity. Thus, 1 suggest the introduction of problem posing teaching activity for the development of problem-solving ability and mathematical creativity.

유아 창의성에 관한 연구동향 분석 (Analysis of Trends in Research on Creativity of Preschool Children)

  • For the purpose of this analysis of trends in research on creativity of preschool children, 98 volumes with articles on the creativity of preschool children were selected from 6 reliable Korean academic journals. Analysis was for year, content, research methods, research design, and subjects. Results showed that (1) the changes by year were that the number of qualitative researches increased from 4 articles in 1998 to 24 articles in 2006. (2) The greatest amount of research content concerned educational methods for the generation of creativity. (3) Most research methods were empirical studies. (4) The most used measurement scale was the Korean Comprehensive Creativity Test for Young Children (Jeon, 2000). (5) Most data analyses were by t-test.

  • Purpose - Because creativity, which is an intangible resource embedded within the company, can offer a competitive advantage, most companies have an interest in promoting creativity among their employees and division(e.g., marketing organization). Creativity renders a sustainable competitive advantage to a firm because it is a strategic resource that is valuable, flexible, rare, and imperfectly imitable or substitutable. Although most companies broadly recognize the importance of creativity, the methods for developing creativity remain elusive. Therefore, the present study investigates how to structure incentives to motivate employees to be more creative and how to develop tools to facilitate creativity. In detail, the present study aimed to examine the relationship between the regulatory focus of marketing organizations(e.g., promotion focus vs prevention focus) and creativity of marketing organizations. In addition, the present study set out to examine the moderating role of interaction of financial reward and creative training in addition to investigating the direct relationship between creativity and regulatory focus in New Product Development(NPD) context. Research design, data, and methodology - The data used to test the hypotheses are drawn from a survey of full time NPD project members(including project manager, designer, engineer, and marketer). The present study utilized data obtained mainly from a database compiled by the Korea Investors Service-Financial Analysis System which provides comprehensive corporate and financial information on firms listed on the Korea Stock Exchange. A study population comprising 1,000 South Korean firms was obtained from this database. We selected 864 firms from the database, and the firms have experiences of new product development project. We collected a total of 162 responses, for a 18.8% response rate. After we excluded 14 questionnaire because of incomplete responses, a total of 148 questionnaire remained(final response rate: 17.1%).     The moderating effect of joint influences(interaction between financial rewards and creativity training) on the relationship between promotion focus creativity of marketing organization,

    The moderating effect of joint influences(interaction between financial rewards and creativity training) on the relationship between prevention focus creativity of marketing organization). SPSS 18.0 and AMOS software were used in the data analysis. Results - The empirical study confirmed that promotion focus of marketing organization is positively related to creativity of marketing organization. Also, prevention focus of marketing organization is positively affected to creativity of marketing organization. In addition, the interaction between financial rewards and creativity training moderated the relationship between regularity focus(e.g.), promotion focus vs prevention focus) and creativity of marketing organization. These results suggest that managers can improve the performances of their creative efforts by providing the use of financial rewards and creativity training in combination. Conclusion - Based on results of this study that examine the effects of regulatory focused creative efforts on creativity of marketing organization, promotion focus is helpful with marketing organizations to enhance their service innovation and performance. Prevention focused organization should allow monetary rewards and creativity training to increase their creativity for innovation of new products.
