  • In this paper, we primarily focus on the perspectives about creative process, which is how mathematical creativity emerged, as one aspect of mathematical creativity and then present a desirable task characteristic to measure and program characteristics to develop mathematical creativity. At first, we describe domain-generality perspective and domain-specificity perspective on creativity. The former regard divergent thinking skill as a key cognitive process embedded in creativity of various discipline domain involving language, science, mathematics, art and so on. In contrast the researchers supporting later perspective insist that the mechanism of creativity is different in each discipline. We understand that the issue on this two perspective effect on task and program to foster and measure creativity in mathematics education beyond theoretical discussion. And then, based on previous theoretical review, we draw a desirable characteristic on instruction program and task to facilitate and test mathematical creativity, and present an applicable task and instruction cases based on Geneplor model at the mathematics class in elementary school. In conclusion, divergent thinking is necessary but sufficient to develop mathematical creativity and need to consider various mathematical reasoning such as generalization, ion and mathematical knowledge.

  • Human capital is the defining value of the national economy under market conditions. The manifestation of human capital is realized as an intellectual and creative capital, theoretically grounded and proven. The realization of intellectual capital is realized through the research creativity of scientists and researchers, and creative capital is manifested through artists and thinkers. Accordingly, creativity in market conditions forms a separate source of income and is an essential article in the formation of the GDP of the national economy. This research aims to analyze human capital from the perspective of cultural and creative industries. Research methods: systematization; comparative analysis of individual indicators of advanced countries of the world on the training system; statistical, taking into account macroeconomic indicators to assess the level of national creativity potential; system and logical analysis; method of information synthesis. Research results. The structural and quantitative composition of the factors of intellectual and creative capital formation has been systematized. The article proves that the unique properties of human capital, knowledge, creativity, experience and professional skills are the push factors of creativity development of the national economy and provide the priority development of creative and cultural industry that allows generating the added value on the national scale. The functions of creativity in the sphere of cultural industries are highlighted. It is noted that education and creativity of both intellectual and creative capital are the forming basis. The research of the world's advanced countries on the creativity index has pointed out the Netherlands as the leading country in the quantitative measurement of creativity. • As creativity is a crucial attribute for companies' survival and innovative success, many firms encourage and implement ways to promote employee creativity. Previous studies in the dual pathway to creativity model have shown that creativity can be enhanced when either the cognitive flexibility or cognitive persistence path is triggered. Although individuals have different personal traits, prior research has rarely investigated whether one pathway is more effective for a certain personality in promoting creativity than the other. Using attachment theory, we examined the influence of attachment style on the degree of the impact of each path on creativity. Specifically, we hypothesized that securely attached people would show higher creativity only when they use the cognitive flexibility path. Data from the US support our hypothesis. Our research highlights that the link between cognitive flexibility and creativity is salient when securely attached people use the cognitive flexibility path because of the strong fit between secure attachment and flexible thinking.

  • This study attempted to investigate the relationship among engineering students' creativity, engineering education accreditation, gender, and academic year. To be specific, fist, we examined the validity and reliability of the instrument for measuring engineering students' creativity by conducting Rasch analysis. Second, we compared level of creativity in terms of gender, academic year, and engineering education accreditation by using three-way ANOVA. Third, correlations among four constructs of creativity were examined. Fourth, latent classes with respect to creativity within the participants were identified using polytomous latent class analysis (poLCA). Data were collected from 2098 engineering students by using instrument for measuring four different constructs (creative cognition, creative tendency, collaboration, environment). By using Rasch analysis, validity and reliability of instrument for measuring creativity were confirmed. And the results of three-way ANOVA showed that there were significant difference in creativity in terms of gender. Female students showed the low level of creativity compared with male students. Also there were significant difference in creativity except creative cognition factor in terms of academic year. But there were no significant difference in creativity between students who participated engineering education accreditation program and the others. All constructs of creativity were significantly correlated with each others. Lastly, poLCA results showed that there were three distinct subgroups within engineering students in terms of the level of creativity. In the subgroup with low creativity, there were more female and first year students. Based on these findings, we discussed education for engineering students' creativity.

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the research trends on 101 articles about mathematical creativity published in domestic journals. The analysis criteria are as follows: (1)What kind of terms the articles use to refer to the creativity in mathematics education, (2)Whether the researchers conceptualize such the terms or not, (3)Whether the definitions are domain-specific or not, (4)What perspectives, categories and levels of the articles have on creativity. The results of this study show the following. First, numerous articles used 'mathematical creativity' in order to point to the creativity in mathematics education. Second, among the 101 selected articles, 60 (59.4%) provided an explicit definition of the mathematical creativity and 19(18.8%) provided an implicit definition. Among the 79 articles, only 43(54.4%) provided domain-specific definitions. Second, the percentage of articles preferring one perspective over the other 3 perspectives were similar. Third, the rate of articles which focused on press(environment) of all categories (person, process, product, press) was low. Fourth, regarding the levels of creativity, most articles were done on little-c creativity level, on the other hand, the articles having an interest in mini-creativity were very rare. Based on these results, necessities of explicit and domestic-specific definition, whole approach of mathematical creativity, and articles focusing on the mini-creativity level should be reported.
