Library course pages are an integrated service providing both course management information and library resources as one gateway to strengthen university libraries' information services. It is possible to associate course management system and library resources, and to provide course-specific information rather than library interface with various searching gateways. In the case of foreign university libraries, library course pages have been developed more effectively and variously for university's environment and characteristics, and have been built for all the courses in a university by system processing, not manually. In foreign libraries, there are many sophisticated, dynamic, database-driven house-developed and vendor-developed systems for library course pages than hand coded HTML pages. But in Korea, there is a lack of awareness of the importance of library course pages among librarians, and the programs of library course pages have not yet been developed. Therefore, this study is to build the model for library course pages using literature reviews and case studies. Then, this study could also lay the foundation for effective library services and the system development of library course pages.

The various and serious types of disaster occur everyday and everywhere on the earth. There is no doubt that it is very timely to discuss about the effectiveness and preparedness of disaster. The purpose of this study is to develop a curriculum on the disaster management through reviewing disaster concepts and the disaster management system. For the empirical relevance of the study, researchers participated in a couple or more disaster training program, reviewed references, and consulted to the experts working on action parts in the area. As a result, the 'Integrated Disaster Management System Model (IDMSM)' was designed, in which four dimensions were explained. Then the 'Disaster Curriculum Model (DCM)' was explored with its theoretical framework based on the system model. The developed curriculum is composed of four levels ; the introductory course, the fundamental course, the advanced course, and the expert course. From this DCM, basically the course-outlines of two subjects in the introductory course, 18 subjects in the fundamental course (5 of direct services. 13 of indirect services) were developed. Also each course-outline was explored by its course objective, learning objectives, contents, and its length. Finally to make the most of the results, suggestions are proposed. The governmental considerations on the policy should support the systematic and integrated educational program to practice, appointing 「Disaster School」 or 「Disaster Training Center」 of relevance and accountabilities. The study goal is to develop the user interface design principles to improve the usability of university course management systems. To achieve the goal, a usability study was conducted using a survey questionnaire and usability test. Eleven user interface design principles for university course management system were developed based on the usability study. This study has significance in that student opinions were incorporated directly into the user interface design principles of university course management system.

To purpose of the study was to analyze faculty utility of Web-Based course support system in Universities. Data were collected from log file in server computer, 5,023 faculties and 12,733 courses offered at spring semester of 2009 in the Metropolitan area S, K, D universities were analyzed. Specifically, frequency and percentile of faculties and courses using course management system were analyzed. In addition, the frequencies and percentiles of courses using sub-functions of course management system were analyzed and X2 test used to examine the difference of frequencies of faculties and courses using course system at using announcement, providing instructional material, public bulletin board and free board. Results were as follows. The 62.28% of faculties and 50.3% of courses have used Web-Based course support system. The results of Subfunction utility analysis showed the highest use as 80.4%. in providing instructional material. However, the use of announcement functions and online discussion was more or less low. Results imply that most of faculties and course are using course management system as supplementary system of off-line instruction.

Sookmyung Women's University Library developed a Cyber Learning Program for Information Literacy Education in the Fall semester of 2004. The program was enforced as a pass/fail prerequisite of the "Reading & Writing", a compulsory course for the first-year students. The paper describes why and how the university reached to the decision to initiate such a program. It identifies the factors which contributed to the early success of the program by analyzing the contents development process and the actual course management process. Suggestions for further developments is made by analyzing the technical and procedural difficulties faced using the Learning Management System(LMS).

Advanced nations such as US and Europe have recognized the importance of the aircraft airworthiness and have been operating airworthiness certification system by their government since long time ago. In Korea, airworthiness certification personnel education program has been proceeding, since certification system of military aircraft airworthiness has been legislated. On this study, education course, education content for each course, education operating method and license management related to airworthiness certification personnel education and drew out adequate plan for domestic circumstance through studying aviation advanced nations cases. The proposed education course is divided into basic course, professional course and retraining course, considering its level of education and operation of education course has been recommended to a professional education institute designated by korea government and proposed to acquire authorized certificate for those who completed the education course. We hope to improve the method proposed as a result of the study such as education content, operating program, license management systematically and efficiently as years go by to develop into leading nation for airworthiness certification education and increase the benefit and confidence of nation.

Recently, product life-cycles are shortening faster than ever before, and companies with a suggestion system are in better position to overcome this shortening life-cycle and thus promote customer satisfaction. Suggestion systems, however, are not actively utilized on the production floors in many firms. This study showed that small-sized and medium-sized firms where a suggestion system is properly functioning by a strong will of top management are not many in Gangwon-do area. In considerable number of companies, a suggestion system is informally and spontaneously applied by the workers on the production floors not by company-wide systems. A suggestion system is required as a means of creating future value-added and it is a matter of course that the role of top management, together with middle-class managements' influence is quite important in the course of the successful application of it. A suggestion system, to be successful, calls not only individual efforts but also positive corporate cultures.

Delay, cost overrun and inferior quality in public works are common in Nepal and Cambodia. Almost 90 percent of the civil construction engineers working in the industry were one-degree graduates without appropriate training. The civil engineering education had provided elemental engineering knowledge to the graduates however integrated engineering and management knowledge and skill are essential for efficient infrastructure development. ODA in developing countries had been concentrated in hard infrastructure development without improving the quality of higher education. Integrating ODA to engineering education system would help develop qualified technical manpower and appropriate technology domestically, and improve the efficiency in infrastructure development in developing countries.

This paper deals with the ways that can improve the reliability of the course evaluation system based on reformation of the system and design of user interface for the practical applications. In the reformation of the system aspect, there are the improvements of the course evaluation questionnaires and the feedback of course evaluation to the lecturers. In the design aspect, a computer screen of the graphic user interface is redesigned to reflect the reformation of the system aspect issues. The results show the effectiveness in the reliability improvement.

Product Life cycle Management (PLM) is an indispensable tool for manufactures to develop competitive products in an efficient way. This enlarges the number of participants for product development who should understand PLM for their supporting activities. However, burdens for developing example products, maintaining complex PLM systems and training prerequisite skills for engineering tools such as CAD systems prohibit an efficient introductory course to PLM. This paper proposes a comprehensive introductory course to PLM that bases on general product development process. In addition, it enables participants to build their example products with familiar Lego blocks and to construct 3D CAD assembly models by using predefined 3D elements. The PLM system for the course provides an intuitive and simple user environment for participants to specify their parts lists, associated 3D CAD models, and product structure of example products. Experiences on a class of the course show it is a valid and efficient education and training method for the PLM introduction.
