The purpose of this study was to determine the factors affecting family strength and therewith, suggest some strategies to improve family strength and welfare. For this purpose, the researcher sampled 208 college students and surveyed them for their perceptions of the concept of family and family strengths. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. First, as a result of surveying the subjects on their perception of the concept of family, it was found that almost all of them (99%) perceived that 'a family consists of a couple and their children' (item 1). The other items regarding the concept of family chosen by the majority of subjects were 'a couple and adopted child' (item 3 & item 17), 'a remarried couple and their children' (item 9), 'a single parent and children' (item 2), 'a three-generation family; couple, widowed daughter and granddaughter' (item 4), 'three sisters' (item 7), 'an unmarried woman living with a son born from a sperm bank' (item 19), 'a separated couple with no child' (item 13), 'cousins living together' (item 11), 'a divorced man and his girlfriend with child' (item 15) and 'homosexual family' (item 8). Second, as a result of assessing subjects' needs for family functions and their efforts for family strengths, it was found that the family functions for family members scored higher than those for the society, and that subjects' efforts for the family functions conducive to both their family members and society scored lower than their needs for the family functions. Third, subjects' needs and efforts for family functions were positively correlated with family strengths. Namely, family functions were closely related with family strengths.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the influences of various factors, the social support of friends and relatives, couple's characteristics, and the mother's parenting characteristics, and their impact upon infant development. For the purposes of this study, data was taken from 2078 infants who were born in 2008 and their mothers who participated in the 1st Korean Children Panel Survey of the Child-Care Policy Research Institute. The data collected were processed statistically by means of a structural model and the fit of the model was also found to be very good. The findings indicated that the social support of friends and relatives and couple's characteristics did indeed impact upon an infant's development, with the mother's parenting characteristics having a mediating effect. The direct effect of the social support of friends and relatives on infant development was positive and the results of the effect were the same even when taking into account the mediating effects of the mother's parenting characteristics. The direct effect of a couple's characteristics on the mother's parenting characteristics was negative but the result of it was also positive when taken in conjunction with the mediating effects of the mother's parenting characteristics.

본 연구는 듀라터치 분만교육이 분만자신감, 분만지식, 부부관계 만족도에 미치는 효과를 규명하고자 시도되었다. 대상자는 경기도 Y시에 소재한 보건소에서 2012년 10월부터 11월까지 주 1회 4번 듀라터치 분만교육을 받은 임산부 27명과 경기도 W시에 위치한 D병원에서 2012년 10월부터 2012년 11월 산전 진찰을 받은 대조군 28명을 대상으로 연구했는데, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 듀라터치 교육을 받은 실험군이 대조군보다 분만자신감(t=-2.81, p=.007)과 분만지식정도(t=3.50, p=.001)에서 통계적으로 유의미하게 높았으나 듀라터치 교육을 받은 실험군과 대조군 간에는 부부관계 만족도는 유의미한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다(t=0.23, p=.818). 분만자신감과 부부관계 만족도에서 통계적으로 높은 상관관계를 나타냈다(r=314, p=.005).

Psychotherapy in Korean Medicine is characterized not only by management of mental issues, but also a holistic perspective of the mind and body, which includes physical treatment. In this case report, we describe the efficacy of Korean psychotherapy for couples with physical symptoms of heartache, emotional tension and marital relationships by addressing the challenges at the Mind and Body levels. For the physical treatment of the couple, the wife was treated with a Bunshimgi-Eum and the husband was administered a Cheonwangbosimdan, combined with a psychiatric interview based on Korean Medicine. It involves listening to the couple's story, YiJungBeongi therapy, understanding and learning about vases and defense mechanisms, self-understanding and understanding of the husband through self-understanding and expansion, and husband's understanding of the wife's position, self-interpretation and acceptance. Based on counseling, the couple's personal characteristics and expansion for self-growth, the progress and results of the couple's challenges and relationship improvement in a relatively short period of time are presented. In response, we hope that the evidence based on Korean Psychotherapy supporting the counseling for couples will continue to accumulate. We would like to report and share a few opinions.

The purpose of this study was to suggest the marital communication methods for improving the quality of marriage and life for the elderly couples. For this study we considered variables affected on the marital communication of elderly couples. I investigated 394 elderly men and women living with only their spouse and analyzed data with SPSS PC WIN. The major findings were as follows: 1) The findings showed that there were high level of communication between the elderly males and females who lived with the spouses without adult children. 2) Variables that influenced the elderly couples' communication were as follows: for the elderly males, intimacy between husband and wife, self-esteem, and gender role attitude; for the elderly females, intimacy between husband and wife, health condition, tendency toward relationships, and intention to keep the elderly couple household.

On the basis of the equity theory, as the couple perceives their relationship is equitable, they tend to make decisions jointly and are satisfied with their family lives. Therefore this study is aimed to identify the relationship among perception of equity, decision-making styles and family life satisfaction in dual-career couples. As a result of analyzing the cause-effect relationship, it shows that many socioeconomic$.$psychological variables have direct indirect impact on family life satisfaction through medium factor, so this study proves the application of the cause-effect modes. However the influence of the perception of equity of wives were higher than husbands.

This paper describes the development of automatic making system of a frame element for flame prevention. The frame element is made by turning a thin plate and a formed plate on the small pipe. The couple plate(two plates) should be pulled with constant farce to manufacture a good frame element. This is because if the gap between one couple plate and other couple plate is different, it will not prevent flame. In this paper, the automatic making system of a frame element for flame prevention was made, and which could automatically manufacture a frame element. The characteristic test of the made frame element by that system was performed, and its result was very good.

The purpose of this study was to identify a couple's parental efficacy combination and, then, analyze parental role-sharing and parenting stress according to this combination type. The subjects were 307 couples who have a child in 1st or 2nd grade. The main results were as follows: First, fathers and mothers, as a group, did not differ in terms of parental efficacy. Secondly, some demographic variables related to parental efficacy. Thirdly, there are more couples who have similar levels of parental efficacy than those who have different levels of parental efficacy. Fourth, no significant difference in parental role-sharing was found among the 4 types of couple's parental efficacy. Fifth, mothers had low parental stress when both of the couple had high levels of parental efficacy while fathers perceived low parental stress if only he, himself, had a high level of parental efficacy.

Reaction diffusion and formation of $Ni_3Al$phase with $L1_2$ structure have been studied in temperature range of 1432K to 1573K using the diffusion couple of (Ni-40, 5at%Al)/(Ni-14, 1at%Al) and (Ni-49, 2at%Al)/ (Nickel). The layer growth of Ni$_{3}$Al pyhase in the annealed diffusion couple was measured by optical microscope and electron probe microanalyzer (EPMA). The layer growth of $Ni_3Al$phase in diffusion zone obeyed the parabolic law without any indication of grain boundary effects. The layer growth of $Ni_3Al$phase in temperature range of 1423K to 1573K was mainly controlled by the volume diffusion mechanism. The rate of layer growth of $Ni_3Al$phase was found to be colsely related to the composition of intermetallic compound NiAl phase. The activation energy for layer growth of $Ni_3Al$phase was calculated to be 127kJ/mol.

This study tries to investigate the transition to parenthood. Especially. It tries to examine Couple's Dyadic Adjustment during the first child pregnancy. For this purpose, the empirical sample testing was conducted using structured questionnaires DAS. The sample size analyzed in this study was 98 couples. The major findings were as follows: 1) The first child pregnancy has not an effect on couple's dyadic adjustment during the first child pregnancy. 2) The role preparation to the parenthood has an effect of dyadic adjustment during the first child pregnancy. 3) Wife's employment has effect on husband's dyadic adjustment during the first child pregnancy.
