Mobility management is important in mobile cellular networks. In this study, we considered an enhanced location-based registration (ELR) method. In the ELR method, even when a mobile phone enters a cell to find that the cell is already on its list (of visited cells) and then updates its main counter, it does not remove any cells from the list (memory space permitting), which gives better performance than the location-based registration (LR) method. However, the location registration cost of the ELR method is still high, and there is a lot of room for improvement with regards to this matter. We now propose an improved version of the ELR method; namely, the improved ELR (iELR). In the iELR method, when a mobile phone enters a cell to find that the cell counter value is less than the main counter value, or when a mobile phone enters a cell to register its location, it updates the main counter and the cell counter values as much as possible to reduce the future need for registrations. We show that our proposed iELR method provides better performance than the ELR method.

The authors examine the characteristics of the counter public sphere during the late Chosun era based on three dimensions: historical, ideological, and analytical. The counter public sphere during the late Chosun era was a lively communicative sphere where the common people, who resisted the premodern ideas and foreign power, tried to overcome the oppressing social and political environment. Although the counter public sphere did not continue to grow during the Japanese colonization era, it provided a basis of the independence movement and the ideological ground for the democratic movement today.

The counter electrode widely used in DSCs (Dye-sensitized Solar Cells) is constructed of conducting glass substrates coated with Pt films, where the platium acts as a catalyst. Pt counter electrodes in DSCs are one important component. It is expected that characteristics of Pt electrodes strongly depend on fabrication process and its surface condition. In this study, Pt counter electrode surface of DSC is deposited by reactive RF magnetron sputtering under the conditions of Ar 5mtorr, RF power of 120w and substrate temperature of $100^{\circ}C$. Surface morphology of Pt electrodes was investigated by FE-SEM and AFM. And this paper shows our recent results and technology to fabricate the new designed cell with Pt electrodes deposited by sputtering method. We have achieved fill factor 65% and photoelectric conversion efficiency around 2.6% as the best results of new designed DSCs structure.

A single-pixel photon counter is designed using a folded cascode CMOS operational amplifier which is self-biased. Since there is no need for a voltage bias circuit, the layout area and power consumption of the designed counter are reduced. The signal voltage of the designed charge sensitive amplifier (CSA) with the MagnaChip $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS process is simulated to be 138mv, near the theoretical voltage of 151mV. And the layout area of the designed counter is $100{\mu}m{\times}100{\mu}m$.

This study is performed for investigating the effects of stripping and counter punching forces on shearing characteristics in fine blanking of T-shaped products, such as camber, burr-height and dimensional accuracy, etc by experiments. Conventional hydraulic press is used for experiments so that both the stripping force and counter punching force can be arbitrarily adjusted by another hydraulic unit connected to the fine blanking die. Specimens are selected as hot rolled steel sheet and carbon steel sheet commonly used in auto- mobile company. Based on the experimental results, both the dimensional accuracy and the burr height are not influenced by the stripping and counter punching forces, wherease the camber height representing dish- shaped deflection is much influenced by them, it can be seen through this study that the finely cut surface of T-shaped blank can be obtained even in conventional hydraulic press if additional equipments and specially designed die are employed.

We investigate a design methodology for master arm which is employed in remote-site control. Though counter-balancing has been employed for the purpose of lessening the actuator loads, it results in the increase of dynamic load at the task position. Therefore, there exist a trade-off between counter-balacing and dynamic performance. The concept of a composite index is introduced to simulataneously consider those two effects in the design of master arms. Several alternative designs of master arms are suggested.

최근 전자전 (EW : Electronic Warfare)은 현대전의 핵심으로 자리매김하고 있다. 전자전에서 재밍 (Jamming)은 적군의 통신을 교란시키는 전자공격 (EA : Electronic Attack)을 의미하는 것으로 재밍 전술은공격 대상에 따라서 여러 가지로 나눌 수 있다. 본고에서는 군통신에서 사용되는 전자방해책 (ECM : Electronic Counter Measure)인 재밍 기술을 소개하고, 재밍 신호에 대한 대책으로 재밍 신호를 효과적으로 검출하고 제거할 수 있는 전자방해방어책인 (ECCM : Electronic Counter Counter Measure) 항재밍 (Anti-Jamming) 방안도 함께 분석 소개하고자 한다.

In this study, a stripe type counter electrode discharge cell for PDP was attempted to realize high luminance efficiency and low firing voltage for fine pitch discharge cells. The cells were prepared using electroplated Cu/Ni electrodes coated with glass dielectric layer. The discharge behaviors of such cells were observed. These results indicate that the counter electrode discharge cells have different discharge behavior compared with coplanar cells, which may affect the luminance efficiency of the panel.

We have been developing microvolume LET counter in order to measure the three-dimensional LET distribution of the therapeutic heavy ion radiation volumes in the water phantom. With help of the technique of cathode induced carhge readout, this detector has a rectangular (box-shape) sensitive volume of which size is about 1 mm$^2$ and 2mm (depth).

본 연구는 소수성 유기물로 오염된 지하수를 복원할경우, 식품등급의계면활성제와 NaOH 또는 NaCl 의 효과를 연구하기 위하여 주상실험을 실시하였다. 실험결과 게면활성제와 NaOH의 혼합 사용이 가장 효과적이었으며, $Na^{+}$의 counter-ion 효과보다는 OH-의 pH효과가 더욱 중요한 인자가 됨이 밝혀졌다.
