저장온도에 따른 복합조제분유의 등온흡습곡선 및 흡습엔탈피 산출 (Adsorptions Isotherm of Water Vapor for Infant Formula Milk Powders and Calculation of Isosteric Heat)

  • Adsorption isotherms of water vapour for infant formula milk powders manufactured by P. M. and N company in Korea were measured at temperatures between 20, 30 and 40$^{\circ}C$ using COST-90 modified method. Results showed that the isotherms were sigmoidal in shape. The adsorption isotherms of milk powder were depending on the temperature and products. The BET-model were applied and analyzed to compare the experimental value. It was found that the BET-model is fitted with measuring data. Sample P showed the lowest monolayer value and sample N showed the highest. Isosteric heat obtained upon application of BET-model was calculated in this field of temperature using the Clausius-Clapeyron equation. It is suggested that the usage of the BET-model to estimate the heat of water sorption in infant formula milk powder should be in agreement with the results from COST-90 project.

  • This paper is the first of two companion papers concerning the analysis and design of a pneumatic vibration isolation system. The design optimization of the pneumatic vibration isolation system is required for the reduction of cost, endeavor and time, and it needs modeling and calculation algorithm. The nonlinear models are devised from the fluid mechanical expression for components of the system and the calculation algorithm is derived from the mathematical relationship between the models. It is shown that the orifice makes the nonlinear property of the transmissibility curve that the resonant frequency changes by the amplitude of excited vibration. Linearization of the nonlinear models is tried to reduce elapsed time and truncation error accumulation and to enable the transmissibility calculation of the system with multi damping chambers. The equivalent mechanical models generated by linearization clarify the function of each component of the system and lead to the linearized transfer function that can give forth to the transmissibility exactly close to that of nonlinear models. The modified successive under-relaxation method is developed to calculate the linearized transfer function.

  • 원도급계약에서의 공기연장 추가간접비에 대한 연구는 지속되어왔다. 그러나 하도급계약에서의 공기연장 추가간접비 산정방식에 대한 연구는 거의 없는 실정이다. 본 연구는 기존 현장에서 사용되고 있는 공기연장 추가간접비 산정방식과 선행연구에서 제안된 공기연장 추가간접비 산정방식에 대해 고찰하고 모형사례를 분석하여 산정방식을 비교하였다. S-curves형태의 간접비 발생을 반영한 모형사례의 발생상황을 사례별로 제시하여 선행연구에서 제시된 공기연장 추가간접비 산정방식별 산출결과를 비교하였다. 산정방식의 문제점을 고찰하는 과정에서 원사업자의 공기연장 추가간접비 산정방식으로 타당한 것으로 연구된 바 있는, 지연기간 평균실비산정방법이 수급사업자의 공기연장 추가간접비 산정에도 타당하다는 결론을 도출하여 보편적으로 적용될 수 있음을 입증하였다.

  • Economic evaluations in the healthcare are used to assess economic efficiency of pharmaceuticals and medical interventions such as diagnoses and medical procedures. This study introduces the main concepts of economic evaluation across its key steps: planning, outcome and cost calculation, modeling, cost-effectiveness results, uncertainty analysis, and decision-making. When planning an economic evaluation, we determine the study population, intervention, comparators, perspectives, time horizon, discount rates, and type of economic evaluation. In healthcare economic evaluations, outcomes include changes in mortality, the survival rate, life years, and quality-adjusted life years, while costs include medical, non-medical, and productivity costs. Model-based economic evaluations, including decision tree and Markov models, are mainly used to calculate the total costs and total effects. In cost-effectiveness or costutility analyses, cost-effectiveness is evaluated using the incremental cost-effectiveness ratio, which is the additional cost per one additional unit of effectiveness gained by an intervention compared with a comparator. All outcomes have uncertainties owing to limited evidence, diverse methodologies, and unexplained variation. Thus, researchers should review these uncertainties and confirm their robustness. We hope to contribute to the establishment and dissemination of economic evaluation methodologies that reflect Korean clinical and research environment and ultimately improve the rationality of healthcare policies.

Development of paint area estimation software for ship compartments and structures

  • The painting process of large ships is an intense manual operation that typically comprises 9-12% of the total shipbuilding cost. Accordingly, shipbuilders need to estimate the required amount of anti-corrosive coatings and painting resources for inventory and cost control. This study aims to develop a software system which enables the shipbuilders to estimate paint area using existing 3D CAD ship structural models. The geometric information of the ships structure are extracted from the existing shipbuilding CAD/CAM system and used to create painting zones. After specifying the painting zones, users can generate the paint faces by clipping structural parts inside each zone. Finally, the paint resources may be obtained from the product of the paint areas and required paint thickness. Implementing the developed software system to real shipbuilders' operations has contributed to improved productivity, faster resource estimation, better accuracy, and fewer coating defects over their conventional manual calculation methods for painting resource estimation.

  • 정보시스템 개발 프로젝트는 다양한 리스크 요소로 인하여 많은 비용이 발생하는 구조를 가지고 있다. 일반적으로 정보시스템 소프트웨어 프로젝트가 납기 내에 성공적으로 이루어질 확률은 매우 낮아 프로젝트 실패를 막는 주요한 요인인 정형화된 비용에 대한 예측이 필요하다. 그러나 대부분의 프로젝트 규모 산정 시 산정 기준의 객관성이 부족하며, 프로젝트 수행 중 베이스라인의 관리가 제대로 이루어지지 않고 있는 실정이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 정보시스템 개발 프로젝트 초기에 현장에서 실용적이지 못한 기법의 한계를 극복하고자 방법론 기반으로 개발에 소요되는 공수를 산정하는 모델을 제안한다. 이러한 융복합적인 제안 모델을 통하여 정보시스템 개발 사업에서 소요되는 공수와 비용을 추정하는데 간단하게 활용할 수 있는 도구가 될 것으로 기대된다.

  • 본 논문에서는 풍력 발전 수익 극대화 및 비용 최소화를 위해 설치하는 ESS에 대하여 정확한 용량 산정을 하기 위한 목적으로 풍력 단지용 전력량 예측을 다층 퍼셉트론을 이용하여 수행한다. 풍력 발전량을 예측하기 위해 풍속, 풍향, 공기밀도를 변수로 하고 그 변수를 병합하고 정규화한다. 모델을 훈련시키기 위해 병합된 변수를 70% 대 30% 비율로 훈련 및 테스트 데이터로 나눈다. 그런 다음 학습 데이터를 사용하여 모델을 학습시키고 테스트 데이터를 사용하여 모델의 예측 성능도 평가한다. 마지막으로 풍력량 예측 결과를 제시한다.

  • The main research content of this paper is to evaluate the structural integrity and the cooling performance of 4250 kVA power transformer with ONAN(Oil Natural and Air Natural) mode. The dynamic analysis is used to verify the structural safety of the transformer by seismic loading. The transformer structure is simplified and NX software is used to build a three-dimensional model, and ANSYS commercial software is used to calculate the stress and deformation by applying corresponding load. The analysis result was evaluated whether it satisfies the design requirements according to the IEEE Std 693 standard. In terms of thermal analysis to evaluate the cooling performance, the thermal physical model is used to calculate the heat exchange between the radiator and the tank in the steady state, and the result is input into the Fluent software to calculate the internal temperature field of the transformer tank, which reduces the calculation cost of thermal fluid. Comparing the simulated hot spot temperature and top oil temperature of the transformer with the calculation results of the IEC60076 classic model, it is found that the error is only 1.9%.

  • A large eddy simulation (LES) of a turbulent channel flow is performed by using the third order low-storage Runge-Kutta method in time and second order finite difference formulation in space with staggered grid at a Reynolds number, $Re_{\tau}=590$ based on the channel half width, ${\delta}$ and wall shear velocity, $u_{\tau}$. To reduce the calculation cost of LES, algebraic wall model (AWM) is applied to approximate the near-wall region. The computation is performed in a domain of $2{\pi}{\delta}{\times}2{\delta}{\times}{\pi}{\delta}$ with $32{\times}20{\times}32$ grid points. Standard Smagorinsky model is used for subgrid-scale (SGS) modeling. Essential turbulence statistics of the flow field are computed and compared with Direct Numerical Simulation (DNS) data and LES data using no wall model. Agreements as well as discrepancies are discussed. The flow structures in the computed flow field have also been discussed and compared with LES data using no wall model.

  • The prevention of roll breakage in hot rolling process is improtant to reduce maintenance cost and production loss. Rolling conditions such as the roll force and torque have been intensively studied to overcome the roll breakage. in the present work, a model for life prediction of work rolls under working condition was developed and discussed. The model consists of stress analysis, crack propagation, wear and fatigue calculation model. Roll life can be predicted by stress, crack depth and fatigue damage calculated from this model. The reliability of stress analysis is backed up by the FEM analysis. From the result of simulation using by pressent model, although the fatigue damage of back up roll reachs 80% of practical limit, that of workroll was less than 40%. In edge section of workroll stress amplification is found by wear and bender effect. We can judge that workroll failures are not due to fatigue damage, crack propagation by bending stress but stress amplification by wear and bender in present working condition.
