Linen 혼방 편성물의 쾌적성 및 물성 (Comfort and Physical Properties of Linen Blended Knitted Fabrics)

  • This develops a new and advanced S/S knitwear material made of linen/bamboo blended yarn. Linen/bamboo knitted fabrics were compared with linen/polyester knitted fabrics in terms of appearance as well as physical and comfort properties. Rib knitted fabrics were remarkably thicker than plain knitted fabrics. Knitted fabrics based on polyester yarns were heavier than those based on bamboo yarn. The porosity decreased in the following order: linen 100% > bamboo 100% > polyester 100%. The drape properties of bamboo 100% and linen/bamboo knitted fabrics were excellent. The pilling resistances of linen 100% and linen/bamboo knitted fabrics were excellent. The highest and lowest air permeability was observed in the case of linen/bamboo knitted fabrics and polyester 100% knitted fabrics, respectively. The instant cool-feeling was enhanced as the bamboo yarns were blended. The thermal conductivity of linen 100% knitted fabrics was the highest and the thermal conductivity of linen/bamboo knitted fabrics was higher than linen/polyester knitted fabrics. Bamboo 100% knitted fabrics showed a higher moisture regain than polyester 100% knitted fabrics. The results confirmed the superior appearance and comfort of a novel S/S knit wear material made of linen/bamboo knitted fabric.

양모 복지의 초기열류속최대치($q_{max}$)에 관한 연구( I ) -열전도도, 열통과성, 표면기공도와의 상관성을 중심으로- (A Study on the Initial Maximum Value of Heat Flux, $q_{max}$ of Wool Fabrics (Part I) - The correlation between $q_{max}$ and thermal conductivity, thermal transmittance, surface air cavity of wool fabrics -)

  • In this study, we discussed about the factors effected upon the initial maximum value of heat flux ($q_{max}$). Thermal conductivity, thermal transmittance and surface air cavity of wool fabrics were examind and their correlation to the $q_{max}$ was studied. The factors were examined which had an effect upon the $q_{max}$ of an objective measure of warm/cool feeling. It was simulated by Thermo-Labo apparatures. We selected twenty sorts of pure wool woven fabrics for men's fall -winter cloth (all Wool). The conclusions are as follows; 1. There was not a certain correlation between the $q_{max}$ and the thermal conductivity of wool fabric. 2. When the fabrics touched on the copper plates, the thickness of wool fabric had a negative correlation to the $q_{max}$. The thermal transmittance had a positive correlation. Both of them had a good correlation to the $q_{max}$. 3. As a major factor, the thickness of fabric effected on the $q_{max}$.

시판 브래지어 날개 소재의 피로도 및 질감에 관한 연구 (Fatigue and Sensorial Properties of Commercially Available Brassiere Wing Materials)

  • In order to design the better brassiere in terms of appearance and functions, various parameters of the materials should be considered; in this study, fatigue properties and subjective sensation of wing materials and its relation to the preference for a brassiere was investigated. After the survey of commercially available products, five elastic fabrics such as cotton, Modal, polyester, nylon, and Tactel, all of which contain 10% polyurethane, were chosen as specimens. Fabric growth were determined to evaluate fatigue properties. Qmax was determined to evaluate the warm-cool feeling. For the sensory test, semantic differential scale which contains 15 adjectives were developed. Fatigue properties were very similar at the 20% elongation irrespective of the duration of tension, but at 40% and 100% elongation, man made fabric showed less growth than cellulose fabrics. The factor analysis showed four factors such as sense of warmth, smoothness, weight and elasticity. Preference of the specimens was ranked in the order of Tactel>Modal>cotton>nylon>polyester.

한국 전통 견직물에 대한 한$\cdot$미 주관적 촉감의 비교 (Cross-Cultural Comparison of Touch Sensation for Korean Traditional Silk fabrics)

  • 서로 다른 한국 전통 견직물의 촉감에 대한 주관적 감각의 한$\cdot$미 양국의 차이를 고찰하고 전통 견직물의 주관적 촉감에 영향을 미치는 역학적 성질을 규명하고자, 한국인과 미국인 각 20명을 대상으로 의미분별척도에 의하여 서로 다른 6개의 한국 전통 견직물의 촉감(딱딱함, 매끄러움, 성김, 시원함, 유연함, 까실거림, 무게, 두께)을 평가하였다. '매끄러움'과 '성금', '까실거림', '두꺼움'은 한$\cdot$미 양국인의 평가가 유사한 경향을 나타내어, 공단과 뉴똥은 매끄럽고 치밀하며 흐믈거리고 두껍다고 평가받은 반면, 갑사와 숙고사, 항라는 거칠고 성글며 까실 거리고 얇다고 평가되었다. '시원함'과 '유연함'에 대해서는 한$\cdot$미 양국인의 주관적 평가에 차이가 있어 '시원함'의 평가에서 한국인의 점수는 미국인에 비하여 직물별로 큰 차이를 나타내어 한국인은 전통 견직물 촉감의 '시원함'에 보다 민감한 것으로 나타났으며, '유연함'에 대해서는 한국인보다 미국인이 공단과 갑사, 숙고사의 촉감을 더 유연한 것으로 평가하였다. 견직물의 주관적 촉감을 예측하는 회귀식에서 한국인의 촉감은 표면특성과 굽힘 특성에 의해, 미국인의 촉감은 표면특성과 인장특성, 압축특성에 의해 주로 예측되었는데, 특히 미국인의 '시원함'은 압축회복성에 의해, '유연함'은 인장 회복성에 의해 예측되는 것으로 나타나, 미국시장을 위한 전통 견직물의 감성적 설계에 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
