레이져 절단에서 노즐이 미치는 영향

  • Quality of cut is strongly dependent on the cutting pressure, so this relationship can be identified by pressure measuring system. In this paper, the experiments presented were performed with the devised pressure measuring system and the laser cutting of STS 304. Convergent type and convergent-divergent type nozzle were used for pressure variation of the distance between nozzle and workpiece. In laser cutting of STS 304, 1.0 kW CO $\_$2/ laser used. The convergent type nozzle(1.0 mm diameter) pressured above 3 kgf/cm $\^$2/, the MSD(Mach Shock Disk) created, which caused the the pressure variations of the distance between nozzle and workpiece. The maximum cutting pressure exists in accordance with the variation of distance. In spite of far distance the maximum cutting pressure is achieved by using the pressure measuring system. The higher cutting pressure beneath the workpiece the less quantity of dross and the kerf width. Since the higher cutting pressure helps to remove the quantity of dross and to stop the exothermic energy into the material. The optimum laser cutting parameter of STS 304(2.0 mm thickness) with the convergent type nozzle(1.0 mm diameter)is 0.75 mm and 2.5 mm distance between nozzle and workpiece, 4 kgf/cm $\^$2/ cutting pressure. In 3.0 mm thickness case, 1.5 mm and 2.25 mm distance is achieved for good quality.

A Suggestion for the Convergent Type of the Cultural Content Production System Using Holography and Augmented Reality (홀로그래피와 증강현실을 활용한 융합형 문화콘텐츠 제작시스템 제안)

  • A hologram projects a 3 dimensional video as same as a real subject and it is made by principles of holography. Many researches about holographic technology have been developed. Studies for visualization of 3D videos, holographic storages, and optical media have proceeded mostly in engineering. It is hard to find any researches about the convergent system from the viewpoint of interactive elements and motion graphic design such as this paper's concept. Most studies of augmented reality have been developed in the domain of technology and education but the field of content production. AR has been convergent with various fields and media, so it is time to make an active progress in the study of convergent content development. The goal of this study is to develop cultural contents and create new values through the convergence of holography and AR. The purpose of this paper is to propose the way of developing the convergent type of cultural contents and construct the production system by the new approach to users using the convergence technology of holography and augmented reality.

Extended Indications of Bilhaut-Cloquet Procedure for Type III and IV of Duplicated Thumb (무지 다지증 III, IV형의 치료에 Bilhaut-Cloquet 방법의 적극적 이용)

  • Purpose: The authors applied Bilhaut-Cloquet procedure to Wassel type III and IV duplicated thumb, which was limited to patients with Wassel type I, II. This procedure was applied in order to improve the growth potential, range of joint motion, joint stability and cosmetic outcome. Methods: Sixteen patients received Bilhaut-Cloquet procedures to correct duplicated thumbs from May, 2005 to December, 2010. Seven patients were Wassel type III, nine patients were type IV. This procedure was applied not only to balanced type, but also unbalanced type or convergent type. Five patients were balanced type and eleven patients were unbalanced type. Convergent type of Wassel type IV was three. Sex ratio was the same, mean age at the operation was 20.1 months old (8~52 months old). Angular deformity, joint stability and range of joint motion and cosmetic outcome were considered together and estimated in Tada score. Also, postoperative subjective satisfaction score of the parents was evaluated by a 100-points scale. Results: Mean subjective satisfaction scored 75 points at 28 months after the operation. Radiologic study showed bony union of proximal phalangeal bone and stable joint in all patients. Range of motion was mean 20 degrees in interphalangeal joint and mean 73 degrees in metacarpophalangeal joint. Tada score showed 'good' in eleven patients (68.8%), 'fair' in three patients (18.7%) and 'poor' in two patients (12.5%). In seven patients those who were able to follow up for a long term showed no significant difference in length of proximal and distal phalangeal bones compared to the opposite thumb. Conclusion: Bilhaut-Cloquet procedure can be applied not only to balanced type of Wassel type III, IV duplicated thumb, but also to unbalanced type or convergent type that focused on functional reconstruction and cosmetic improvement.

A Study on the Impulse Waves Discharged from the Exit of the Convergent/Divergent Pipes (축소/확대관 출구로부터 방출되는 펄스파에 관한 연구)

  • The present study is to investigate the characteristics of the impulse waves discharged from the exit of the convergent and divergent pipes. An experiment is carried out using a shock tube with an open end and is compared to the computation of the axisymmetric, compressible, unsteady Euler equations, which are solved by the second-order total variation diminishing(TVD) scheme. For the computational work, some initial compression waves are assumed inside the pipe so that those are identical to the experimental ones of the shock tube. The results show that the peak pressures of the impulse waves discharged from the exit of convergent and divergent pipes decrease with an increase in the wavelength of the initial compression wave. All of the impulse waves have a strong directivity toward the pipe axis, regardless of the exit type of the pipe employed. The impulse waves discharged from the divergent pipe are stronger than those from the straight pipe, while the impulse waves of the convergent pipe are weaker than those from the straight pipe. It is believed that the convergent pipe can playa role of a passive control to reduce the peak pressure of the impulse wave. The present computations represent the experimented impulse waves with a good accuracy.

  • General, fast, and efficient stitching methods for the synthesis of dendrimers with linear PEG units at a core, as dendritic-linear-dendritic materials, were developed. The synthetic strategy involved the click reaction between an alkyne and an azide. The linear core building blocks, three dialkyne-PEG units, were chosen to serve as the alkyne functionalities for dendrimer growth via click reactions with the azide-dendrons. These three building blocks were employed together with the azide-functionalized Fr$\acute{e}$chet-type dendrons in a convergent strategy to synthesize the Fr$\acute{e}$chet-type dendrimers with different linear core units. Their structure of dendrimers was confirmed by $^1H$ and $^{13}C$ NMR spectroscopy, IR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and GPC analysis.

Performance Experiment of Electron Beam Convergence Instrument (Finishing 용 전자빔 집속 장치의 성능 실험)

  • Finishing process includes deburring, polishing and edge radiusing. It improves the surface profile of specimen and eliminates the alien substance on surface. Deburring is the elimination process for debris of edges. Polishing lubricates surfaces by rubbing or chemical treatment. There are two types for electron finishing. The one is using pulse beam. The other is using the convergent and scanning electron beam. Pulse type device appropriates the large area process. But it does not control the beam dosage. Scanning type device has advantages for dosage control and edge deburring. We design the convergence and scan type. It has magnetic lenses for convergence and scan device for scanning beam. Magnetic lenses consist of convergent and objective lens. The lenses are designed by the specification(beam size and working distance). In this paper, we evaluate the convergence performance by pattern process. Also, we analysis the results and important factors for process. The important factors for process are beam size, pressure, stage speed and vacuum. These results will be utilized into systematizing pattern shape and the factors.

  • Spherically convergent beam fusion device accelerate ions, which are generated between outer anode and inner grid cathode, toward the spherical center. The collision of opposite direction ions give rise to fusion reactions. Spherically convergent beam fusion device is very simple and compact, therefore the device has a potential that is applied to a portable neutron source. An experimental device consist of a 20cm-diameter spherical mesh-type anode and 7cm-diameter open spherical grid cathode and was maintained at a constant pressure of about 1333 Pa by feeding argon gas.

Exploring the Creativity of the Scientific Gifted from Analyzing Descriptive Experiment-Design (서술적 실험 설계분석을 통한 과학 영재 창의성 탐색)

  • This study investigated factors of creativity and interaction between factors that are revealed when gifted students designed scientific experiments. For this, we firstly developed items which required the written process of designing experiments to explore creativity factors. Then, we used these items as a part for letters of self-introduction to students who applied for 2011 correspondence education of general physics for the Korea Physics Olympiad. 513th letters of self-introduction which were analyzed to investigate factors of creativity in view of creativity definition after researchers' consultation, which specifically means a combination of divergent and convergent thinking. The results were as follows; (1) in the step of hypothesis building, we could not only find Originality and the Flexibility & Fluency, which were factors of divergent thinking, but also Coherency and Elaborateness, which were factors of convergent thinking. (2) in the step of the hypothesis testing, we could explore Originality, Flexibility & Fluency in divergent thinking and Coherency, Reliability, Clarity, Elaborateness in convergent thinking. (3) we also figured out three creativity types of gifted students from the viewpoint that creativity is a consequence of interaction between divergent thinking and convergent thinking; a) Type A showed divergent and convergent factors of creativity in the step of hypothesis building. However, type A did not include divergent factors of creativity on the process of the hypothesis testing. b) Type B had divergent and convergent factors of creativity on the process of the hypothesis testing, but it had not convergent factors of creativity on the step of hypothesis building. c) Finally, in Type C, only divergent factors of creativity appeared on the process of the hypothesis testing, but convergent factors of creativity could be found on the step of hypothesis building and hypothesis testing.

Synthesis and Selective Transport Properties of Cleft-Type Ionophores Having Two Convergent Hydroxamic Acid Functions

  • A series of cleft-type ionophores having two convergent hydroxamic acid functions are prepared and their selective ionophoric properties toward heavy metal and transition metal ions have been investigated. Hydroxamic acids 3 exhibited a prominent selectivity toward heavy metal ions of Hg2+ and Pb2+, and transition metal ions of Cu2+ over other transition metal and alkaline earth metal ions from slightly acidic source phase (pH 6) to an acidic receiving phase (pH 1). Selective ionophoric properties toward Pb2+ and Cu2+ ions over other surveyed metal ions are also confirmed by the FAB-MS measurements.
