Mediating Effect of Nursing Professionalism on the Relationship between Critical Thinking Disposition and Consciousness of Bioethics in Nursing Students (간호대학생의 비판적 사고성향과 생명윤리의식: 간호전문직관의 매개효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine to identify the mediating effects of nursing professionalism in the relation between consciousness of bioethicscritical and critical thinking disposition. Data were collected by self-report questionnaires targeting 264 nursing students in two nursing colleges located in B and C city province. Data were analyzed with SPSS/PC ver 23.0 programs. There were significantly positive correlations between critical thinking disposition, nursing professionalism and consciousness of bioethics. Nursing professionalism fully mediated the relationship between critical thinking disposition and consciousness of bioethics. Theses results indicated that in order to improve the consciousness of bioethics of nursing students, it is necessary to develop and t est the program for improving not only on the critical thinking disposition but also on the nursing professionalism.

Relationship Between Self-Reflection, Critical Thinking Disposition, Muti Cultural Experience and Cultural Competence in nursing students (간호대학생의 자아성찰, 비판적 사고성향 및 다문화 경험과 문화적 역량과의 관계)

  • As Korea has been rapidly transformed to be a multi cultural society, it becomes essential for nursing provider to develop cultural competency. The purpose of this study was to identify impact of self-reflection, critical thinking disposition and multi cultural experience on nursing student's cultural competence. A convenience sample of 148 nursing students was obtained from a university in Gyeonggi Province. Data was analyzed using Pearson correlation and multiple regression. Significant relationships were found between self-reflection, critical thinking disposition, multi cultural experience and cultural competence in nursing student. The result of multiple regression indicates that critical thinking disposition (${\beta}=0.27$, p=.005), self-reflection (${\beta}=0.21$, p=.040) were the most consistent predictors of cultural competence and explained 26.0%. Thus, it is necessary to develop multi cultural education program including self-reflection and critical thinking disposition. The findings suggest the necessity to explore further various factors affecting the cultural competence and to conduct research for establishment a theoretical model.

Influence of Proactivity in Problem Solving and System Thinking on Resilience of Nursing Students (간호대학생의 문제해결 적극성과 시스템 사고능력이 회복탄력성에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was a descriptive study to determine whether proactivity in problem solving and system thinking are variables affecting the resilience of nursing students. The subjects of this study were 236 students and the data was collected from November 11 to 29, 2019. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, t-test, correlation and hierarchical regression analysis were used. As a result of the study, Proactivity in Problem Solving and system thinking were significantly correlated with resilience. Adaptation of nursing, proactivity in Problem Solving, and system thinking of nursing students were found to be factors affecting their resilience, and they explained resilience at 71.4%. Therefore, in order to strengthen the resilience of nursing students, it is necessary to run a curriculum that includes proactivity in problem solving and system thinking as core nursing competencies.

  • Software education is drawing attention as an education for fostering future talents who will lead the 4th industrial revolution. The purpose of software education for everyone from kinder to adults is not simply to develop programming skills, but to develop "Computational Thinking," a problem-solving ability that effectively solves real-world problems based on computing. Therefore, how to cultivate and evaluate computational thinking is a very important issue. This paper proposed a method of applying a process-based performance evaluation method to evaluate computational thinking ability in the process of solving learners' problems. The developed contents were revised and supplemented through two Delphi surveys by a group of experts consisting of five university professors and five incumbent information teachers majoring in computer science and computer education to verify the effectiveness of the final model. I hope This paper can contribute to the study of evaluating computer thinking ability from the perspective of problem solving.

Effects of critical thinking and nursing practice environment on clinical decision making among nurses (비판적 사고와 간호근무환경이 간호사의 임상적 의사결정에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was a cross-sectional study done to determine the relevance and impact factors of critical thinking and nursing practice environment on clinical decision making among nurses. A survey was conducted for April 2017 with self-report questionnaire. Participants were 261 registered nurses working in one tertiary hospital. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and hierarchical regression analysis with SPSS/WIN(21.0). Factors affecting clinical decision making included age, educational background, position, work shift, clinical career. Clinical decision making had a positive correlation with critical thinking and nursing practice environment. And position, critical thinking and nursing practice environment accounted for 35.8% of the variance in clinical decision making. Therefore, quality management for developing nursing professionalism and administrative support for effective staffing and resource adequacy in addition improving critical thinking increase nurses'clinical decision making.

  • In this paper, it is practically difficult to obtain programming language education without having an algorithmic thinking ability, computing thinking ability, and problem solving ability of students with relatively low basic education. The results showed that students who took program language education in parallel with the EPL(Educational Programing Language), Scratch, compared to without using Scratch found to be helpful in improving their programming amd computing thinking ability, and problem-solving abilities as well as their satisfaction. This not only gave students confidence in their hard-thinking programming practices, but also helped prevent them from falling out of the middle.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify to identify the relationship between knowledge of the SBAR(Situation-Background-Assessment-Recommendation) Attitudes towards SBAR and critical thinking disposition of nursing students. Subjects were 101 associate nursing students associate nursing students(3rd). The data were collected using self -report questionnaire from August 31 to October 26, 2018. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation using SPSS Win 23. The score for knowledge of the SBAR was 3.26, Attitudes towards SBAR scoring 3.31, Critical thinking disposition scoring 3.50. Knowledge of the SBAR(r=.46, p<.001) and Attitudes towards SBAR(r=.23, p=.023) were significantly positive correlation with critical thinking disposition in nursing students. Therefore, to increase the critical thinking disposition of nursing students, It is necessary to develop the program for increase knowledge of the SBAR and attitudes towards SBAR of nursing students.

  • This study aims to investigate the characteristics, concepts, types, and strategies of unplugged coding for young children based on computing thinking. The key to unplugged coding for young children is computing thinking. Unplugged coding based on computing thinking for young children can be used to solve problems that can be encountered in everyday life through playing games based on logical thinking by positively utilizing algorithm boards, s-blocks, coding robots, and smart devices without using programs And find new ways to play. Types of unplugged coding for young children include direct input to smart devices, using coding robots with dedicated apps, practicing coding procedures using algorithms, and using hybrid methods. Strategies include understanding algorithms, drawing flowcharts, dividing into smaller parts, finding patterns, inserting, and predicting outcomes.

The relationship among Satisfaction of Major, Critical thinking Disposition and Nurse image for Nursing students (간호대학생의 전공만족도와 비판적 사고성향, 간호사이미지간의 관계)

  • This study was done to identify the relationship between safisfaction with major, critical thinking disposition and nurse image of nursing students. Subjects were 280 associates nursing students (2nd, 3rd, 4th grade) in M university. SPSS 21.0 was used to analyze the data for the descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe's test, and Pearson correlation coefficients. The score for satisfaction of major was 3.81, critical thinking disposition scoring 3.52, nurse image scoring 3.85. Satisfaction of major was significantly positive correlation between critical thinking disposition and nurse image of nursing students. Therefore, increase to satisfaction of major in nursing student, it is necessary to study how to improve the nurse image by improving the critical thinking disposition of nursing students.

Influence of Critical Thinking Disposition and Academic Self-Efficacy on Self-Directed Learning Ability of Nursing Students (간호대학생의 비판적 사고성향과 학업적 자기효능감이 자기주도적 학습능력에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted to check critical thinking disposition, academic self-efficacy, and self-directed learning ability, and to understand the effect on self-directed learning ability for nursing students. Data were collected from 268 nursing students in the 3rd and 4th grades of two universities. As a result of the study, it was found that there was a significant positive correlation between critical thinking disposition, academic self-efficacy, and self-directed learning ability of nursing students. The factors affecting the self-directed learning ability of nursing students were critical thinking disposition, academic self-efficacy, major satisfaction, and personality disposition, which accounted for 68% of self-directed learning ability. Therefore, in order to improve self-directed learning ability, it will be improved if the critical thinking disposition can be improved through the curriculum, and academic self-efficacy and major satisfaction are increased by applying various teaching and learning methods and programs.
