  • A non-parametric procedure is presented for testing exponentially against used better than aged in convex ordering class (UBAC) of life distributions based on u-test. Convergence of the proposed statistic to the normal distribution is proved. Selected critical values are tabulated for sample sizes 5(5)40. The Pitman asymptotic relative efficiency of my proposed test to tests of other classes is studied. An example of 40 patients suffering from blood cancer disease demonstrates practical application of the proposed test.

  • The purpose of this research was to evaluate the clinical and the instrument of convergence utility of transient elastography (FibroScan(R):electromagnetic wave) in diagnosing and treating liver ailments through a comparison and an analysis between liver function blood test and transient elastography (FibroScan(R)) in patients with chronic hepatitis B virus infection. Of all the patients with chronic hepatitis B virus infection who visited clinic B in Daejeon City between July 1, 2015, and February 28, 2016, 75 who underwent a FibroScan(R) test were selected for this study. Their laboratory and liver function test results were compared for a correlation analysis before constructing an ROC (Receiver Operation Characteristic) curve. Aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and alanine aminotransferase (ALT) levels were 0.572 and 0.502, respectively, and showed highest correlation with fibrosis score, with statistical significance (p<0.000). Gamma glutamyltranspeptidase, total bilirubin, and alkaline phosphatase levels also showed relatively significant correlations in this order of sequence, while -fetoprotein and total protein levels did not show any statistically significant values. Albumin (-0.449) and platelet levels (-0.373) showed negative correlations with each other and no correlation with fibrosis score (p < 0.000). As liver fibrosis worsened, the accuracy of the ROC curve increased. At the F4 stage, which is the cirrhotic stage, the largest area under the curve was observed. FibroScan(R) showed significant correlation with the ALT (serum glutamic pyruvic transaminase) and AST (serum glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase) levels in the liver function test, which is a routine test for patients with chronic liver ailments. This implies that fibrosis correlates with liver inflammation severity.

  • The purpose of this study was to determine factors affecting new nurses turnover in Korea. The participants in this study were 227 new nurses who has been working or turnover less than 12 months in fifteen hospitals in B and Y city. Data were collected with structured questionnaires to investigate the socio-demographics characteristics and turnover-related factors, and analyzed using $x^2-test$, Fisher's exact test, independent sample t-test, logistic regression with the SPSS win version 18.0 program. The significant factors affecting turnover were age over 26 years(OR=4.00, CI=2.02-7.91), married(OR=6.30, CI=1.21-32.79). On the other hand, mentoring(OR=0.96, CI=0.94-0.99) lowered the probability of turnover. To reduce turnover of new nurses, we need to give special consideration for age of over 26 years and married nurses. Also, there is a need to develop an individualized mentor program.

  • This study was done to examine the effect of 'Zippy's friends' program based on stress coping model for early child. A nonequivalent control group was designed to conduct a pre-post test for this study. The participants for this study were 148 first grade elementary school students in G city(experimental group=72, control group=76). The experimental group received 'Zippy's friends program for 24 weeks (6 module, 24 hours). The control group did not receive any treatment. From April to December 2017 data were collected using self-report structured questionnaires, and were analyzed using the ${\chi}^2$-test, t-test, and ANCOVA with SPSS/WIN 20.0 Program. After the treatment, significant differences were found between the experimental group and control groups in terms of stress coping ability( F=22.77, p<.001),but not in level of emotional intelligence (t=-.37, p=.715). Results of this study indicate that Zippy's program can be used in school based practice as an effective mental health intervention for early child.

  • The purpose of this study was to verify the effectiveness of horticultural activities program for 4th grade nursing students' emotional intelligence and stress coping. The study method was a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design. Participants were recruited with 4th grade nursing students from two nursing colleges. They were assigned to the experimental group (n=29) or the control group (n=30) using a computerized blocked randomization. Horticultural activities program was consisted of 10 sessions which were 2 times a week for 80 mins at each session during 5 weeks. Pretest and posttest were used to measure emotional intelligence and stress coping using the same structured questionnaires. Data was analyzed using frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, ${\chi}^2-test$, t-test, Fisher's exact test, Kolmogorov-Smirnov, independent t-test and paired t-test. The result showed a significant difference that the experimental group's emotional intelligence(t=-3.33, p=.002) and stress coping(t=-2.35, p=.023) score was higher than the control group's. The results of this study suggests that the horticultural activities program is effective in terms of emotional intelligence and stress coping for $4^{th}$ grade nursing students.

  • The purpose of this study is to determine how the pre-test performed before training affects the results of CPR performance. In the case of the pre-test group(PTG), a pre-evaluation was performed for 1 minute before training, and the group that did not perform the pre-test(NPTG) performed only regular education. In both groups, skill test was performed for 1 minute after training. As a result of comparing the pre and post-test of PTG, there were statistically significant changes in chest compression depth, rate, and compression recoil. There was a statistically significant difference only in the chest compression rate in the chest compression performance results of the two groups after training. There was a statistically significant difference in the results of confidence after training in both groups. It is judged that the pre-test conducted before training has a good influence not only on the results of chest compression, but also on confidence improvement. Therefore, it is judged that it is necessary to develop additional programs such as pre-education test in order to increase the concentration of CPR education for the general population.
