공학 분야의 학문융합교육 가능성 분석 (A Study on The Possibility of The Convergence Education In Engineering)

  • This study aims to identify on the possibility of the convergence education in engineering. Delphi survey on a panel of experts was chosen to be the main methodology for this study, drawing the main factors of convergence education in engineering. From Oct. 10 to Nov. 25, 2013, a three-round Delphi survey was implemented to collect data. A panel of eighteen experts were involved in this survey. For statistical processing, descriptive statistics including frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation were carried out along with internal reliability test on the survey instrument. First, the possible convergence of disciplines in engineering were found to Design, Industrial design, ICT, Health care services, Video media, Business and Administration, Organizational psychology, Sociology, Humanities and Aesthetics. Second, the convergence education factors to be most important demanded creativity, idea generation techniques such as the expression of thought communication skills, technical expertise in the field per line, understanding of basic knowledge, verification of common elements among different disciplines, understanding of other disciplines fusion in engineering, artistry and imagination, etc. Third, requirements for the talented person of convergence were the open mind and enthusiasm, creative imagination, accept the opinions of others, skills capacity as a creative expression, and challenges. Above-mentioned requirements are found to be the necessary elements for convergence education.

디자인과 소프트웨어 융합전공의 프로그램 학습성과 평가체계 개발 (Development of Program Outcomes Evaluation System for Multidisciplinary Major in Design and Software)

  • In recent years, the design has formed and operated convergence education in conjunction with many other academic fields, and ABEEK also encourages the participation of convergence engineering programs. The purpose of this study is to require design and software convergence major to operate program that accord engineering education certification criteria to develop a program outcomes evaluation system and examine its validity. The program outcomes evaluation system was developed in accordance with development research methods and procedures. As a result, developed evaluation system program outcomes for convergence-based program outcomes: convergence ability, creative thinking ability, entrepreneur ability, and design ability. Finally, it revised and supplemented them through expert validity examine. Expert validity review included 9 experts in engineering, IT engineering, education technology, and design. The validity, usefulness, intelligibility, universality, and explanatory power of the evaluation system were reviewed. The results of this study are expected to provide practical tools for operating ABBEK of convergence programs between design and engineering.

공과대학 학생들의 융합에 대한 태도와 공학교육인증, 성별, 학년과의 관련성 -잠재집단분석의 적용- (The Relationship of Engineering Education Accreditation Program, Gender, and Academic Year with Attitude towards Convergence among Engineering Students: Application of Latent Class Analysis)

  • 이 연구는 국내 공학전공대학생들의 융합에 대한 태도를 조사하고, 공학교육인증제 프로그램 이수, 성별, 학년 변수와의 관련성을 알아보고자 이루어졌다. 구체적인 연구 목적은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 융합에 대한 태도 검사도구가 공학전공대학생들에게 신뢰롭고 타당하게 적용되는지 확인하였다. 둘째, 공학교육인증제 프로그램 이수, 성별, 학년에 따른 융합에 대한 태도의 차이가 있는지 확인하였다. 셋째, 학습자중심 접근을 바탕으로 공과대학생들의 융합에 대한 태도에 따라 분류되는 잠재집단을 탐색하였으며, 규명된 각 잠재집단과 변수간의 관계를 확인하였다. 이 연구에서는 2076명의 공과대학생들이 참여하였다. 융합에 대한 태도 검사도구의 타당성 및 신뢰성은 요인분석, 내적 일관성 신뢰도, 라쉬분석을 활용하여 확인하였으며, 분석결과 공과대학학생들에게 적용한 융합에 대한 태도 검사도구가 신뢰성과 타당함을 확인되었다. 또한 공학교육인증제 프로그램 이수, 성별, 학년에 따른 융합에 대한 태도의 차이를 확인하기 위하여 독립표본 t-검정, 분산분석을 사용하였다. 융합에 대한 태도는 공학교육인증제 프로그램, 성별, 학년에 따른 유의미한 차이가 나타났는데, 공학교육인증제 프로그램을 선택하고, 남학생이며 학년이 높을수록 융합에 대한 태도가 높게 나타났다. 마지막으로 융합에 대한 태도에 따라 구별되는 잠재집단을 탐색하기 위해 잠재집단분석(Latent class analysis)을 수행한 결과, 다섯 가지의 잠재집단이 규명되었다. 또한 규명된 잠재집단과 공학교육인증 프로그램 선택여부와 성별, 학년과의 관계를 파악하기 위해 카이제곱검정을 수행한 결과 세 변수는 모두 잠재집단 분포와 유의미한 관계가 있었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 학습자의 특성과 다양성을 고려한 공과대학 융합 교육에 대하여 논의하였다.

창의적 융복합 『미래융합IT인문학』 교과목 개발 및 운영 효과성 검증 (Creative Convergence Course 『Future Confluence IT Humanities』 Development and Operational Effectiveness Verification)

  • Education emphasizes problem-solving skills based on convergent thinking power in an era of rising uncertainty and rapid progress. This paper proactively designed e-Learning team teaching convergence liberal arts courses for prospective teachers by these social needs. It analyzed the empirical effects on the operation of the subjects to foster future talent who can converge and apply knowledge in various fields. The curriculum consisted of professors of mathematics, practical Arts, computer, and education, and was operated to convey convergent knowledge of information technology and humanities, and consisted of 15 liberal arts courses at J University. Besides, textbooks and teaching materials were also developed by the faculty. As a result of the primary research, prospective teachers who took the course generally showed high satisfaction with the class, especially for the faculty. The students' overall convergent thinking ability has increased to a statistically significant level (p<.01), and the students' major has been found to be irrelevant. On the other hand, it can be seen that communication, content convergence, and caring factors, excluding creativity factor, have all risen to a significant level.

공학 융합역량에 대한 산업체와 대학생의 인식 비교분석 (A Study on the Perception about Engineering Convergence Competency between Industry and Engineering Students)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the differences in the perception and education requirements between industry and engineering students on engineering convergence competency, and to suggest implications for fostering engineers suitable to industry demand and direction of focus improvement in the current engineering education field. To this end, 73 industrial representatives and 104 engineering students are surveyed the engineering convergence competency and educational needs. The results of this analysis are as follows: first, the difference in engineering convergence competency by background variable was significantly different in gender of engineering students. Second, it is found that there is a significant difference between the current level and the required level of engineering convergence competency from an industry perspective. In the IPA results, it shows that new knowledge generation and future-oriented vision skills are urgently needed to be improved. And it is showed that the creative thinking, knowledge utilization, communication, and cooperation capabilities skills need to be maintained continuously. Third, as a result of the analysis of the differences in recognition of the current competency levels between industry and engineering students, there is statistically significant differences in systemic thinking, communication and cooperation, understanding of other academic fields, humanities, and future-oriented perspectives. Therefore, it is necessary to specific plans and efforts to reduce this perception gap should be prepared at the university.

중등 영재 지도교사들의 융합인재교육(STEAM)과 융합영재교육에 대한 인식 (The Secondary Gifted Education Teachers' Perceptions of the STEAM and the Convergence Gifted Education)

  • 본 연구는 융합영재교육의 활성화를 위하여 중등 영재 지도교사들을 대상으로 융합인재교육(STEAM)과 융합영재교육에 대한 인식을 조사하였다. 연구 결과, 영재 지도교사들의 융합영재교육에 대한 인지도는 융합인재교육(STEAM)에 대한 인지도보다 더 낮은 것으로 나타났으며, 융합영재교육에 대한 인지도가 높은 교사들은 현장 적용 경험이 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 반면 영재교육진흥종합계획의 추진과제로서 창의 융합형 콘텐츠 개발이 포함되어 있음에 대한 인지도는 매우 낮았으며, 콘텐츠 개발 경험 또한 매우 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 통계적으로 유의미한 차이는 없지만 과학영재 지도교사와 영재 지도 경력이 높을수록 융합영재교육의 필요성에 매우 긍정적으로 인식하고 있는 것으로 나타나 영재교육 교원 연수를 통해 수학영재 지도교사와 저경력의 영재 지도교사들에게 융합영재교육의 필요성에 대한 인식을 강화시킬 필요가 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 그러나 과반 수 이상의 응답자들이 융합인재교육(STEAM)과 융합영재교육이 대상만 다를 뿐 유사하다고 인식하고 있는 것으로 나타나 융합영재교육의 올바른 정착을 위해 영역별 영재의 특성과 수준에 적합한 차별화된 융합영재교육이 필요함을 인식시킬 필요가 있는 것으로 시사되었다.

공동체단위의 연수를 통해 나타난 고등학교 수학 중심 융합수업의 개발 및 적용 사례 (A case study on the development and practice of lessons for mathematics-oriented convergence through the professional development of multi-tiered teacher community)

  • This study analyzed the cases of three teacher communities participating in an innovative professional development program and clarified the characteristics and the process of lessons for mathematics-oriented convergence that were developed and applied during the program. Each of the teacher communities designed and implemented lessons according to the context of each community and the concept of lessons for mathematics-oriented convergence were developed and refined. The lessons developed by the three teacher communities were characterized as convergence problem posing lessons using technology, convergence of various subject content focused on mathematical concepts through team teaching, and convergence lessons according to students' achievement levels. The program contributed to teacher community activities by proving sustainable professional development in the area of convergence education, a connection between the content of their professional development and the context of the field, and opportunities for active participation in the process of developing and implementing the convergence lessons.

골드버그 장치 기반 소프트웨어 융합교육 도구 개발 (Development of Goldberg device-based Software Convergence Education Tool)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 SW융합교육을 위한 골드버그 장치 기반의 교육 도구를 개발하는 것이다. 2015개정교육과정에서는 효과적인 SW교육을 위하여 다양한 교과와의 융합을 강조한다. 특히 물리 교과는 순차적인 움직임, 에너지의 수치화, 시뮬레이션 등 컴퓨팅 사고력과 밀접한 연관성을 갖고 있어 SW융합교육의 소재로 자주 사용된다. 본 연구에서는 물리적인 지식, 개념, 조작 등을 활용하는 골드버그 장치를 기반으로 한 교육용 프로그램을 개발하였다. 프로그램의 효과성 검증을 위해서 델파이 검증을 통해 설문 문항을 개발하였으며 이를 기반으로 기초 만족도 조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과 개발된 프로그램은 SW융합교육을 위한 프로그램으로 효과적으로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 나타났다.

Development of Convergence Education Program of the 'Life and Electricity·Electron' Unit in Practical Arts Textbook to Enhance Computational Thinking

  • In this paper, we propose a analysis of electric and electronic's unit in paratical arts and convergence education program to enhance computational thinking. In the current practical arts curriculum of Korean elementary school 6th graders, the 'information' related chapter is Chapter 3. However, educational contents mainly consist of making activities according to the specified manual such as electrical and electronic products, learning about robots, etc. It is very insufficient to develop the computational thinking required by the software-centered society. Therefore, we are to study development of convergence education program of the 'Life and Electricity Electron' unit in practical arts textbook to enhance computational thinking.

비대면 수업 융합교과의 효과적인 팀학습 지원에 관한 연구 (A Study on Effective Team Learning Support in Non-Face-To-Face Convergence Subjects)

  • In a future society where cutting-edge science technology such as artificial intelligence becomes commonplace, the demand for talented people with basic knowledge of mathematics and science is expected to increase continuously, and the educational infrastructure suitable for the characteristics of future generations is still insufficient. In particular, in the case of students taking convergence courses including practical training, there was a problem in communication with the instructor. In this study, we looked at the current status of distance learning at domestic universities that came suddenly due to the global pandemic of COVID-19. In addition, a case study of the use of technology was conducted to facilitate the interaction between instructors and learners through case analysis of distance classes in convergence subjects. Therefore, this study aims to introduce the case of developing lecture contents for smooth convergence education in a non-face-to-face educational environment targeting the developed AI convergence courses and applying them to the education of enrolled students.
