  • We present a local convergence analysis for inexact Newton-like method in a Banach space under weaker Lipschitz condition. The convergence ball is enlarged and the estimates on the error distances are more precise under the same computational cost as in earlier studies such as [6, 7, 11, 18]. Some special cases are considered and applications for solving nonlinear systems using the Newton-arithmetic mean method are improved with the new convergence technique.

  • Recently, IoT researches using sensor data based on embedded networks in various fields including healthcare and sports have been continuously attempted. This study analyzes golf ball mobility to support IoT application in golf sports field. Generally, since the difference in density occurs due to the condition of the inner material and the abnormal state at the time of the outer skin joining during the manufacturing of the golf ball, the weight of each subset is equal for any two points with the same radius in the sphere cannot be guaranteed. For this reason, the deflected weight of the sphere has the undesirable effect of hitting the ball in a direction in which the weight of the ball is heavy. In this study, it is assumed that there is a unique center of gravity of the ball, and even if the golf ball cannot be manufactured perfectly, it wants to establish the basic principle to accurately recognize or mark the putting line based on the center of gravity. In addition, it is evaluated how the mobility of the golf ball with a deviation from the center of gravity of the golf ball affects the progress path (or movement direction) and the moving distance (or carry distance) after the golfer hits. The basic model of the mobility of the golf ball can help the golfer exercise model and the correlation analysis. The basic model of the mobility of the golf ball can help the golfer exercise model and the correlation analysis.

  • In this paper, We proposed the nonlinear controller and observer design for a ball and beam system. Unfortunately, for the ball and beam system, the control coefficient is zero whenever the angular velocity or ball position are zero. Therefore, the relative degree of the ball and beam system is not well defined. The presented the nonlinear controller and observer design is based on the approximation input-output feedback linearization. And we verified that the proposed nonlinear controller and observer scheme is the feasible through a computer simulation.

  • In this paper, a novel 3-DOF hybrid robot with enlarged workspace is presented for high speed applications. The 3-DOF hybrid robot is made up of one linear actuator and 2-DOF planar parallel robot in series. The actuation consists of one ball-screw to make one linear motion and two rotary ball-screws to transmit rotational motion to 2-DOF parallel robot. The workspace can be enlarged according to ball-screw stroke and the moving inertia can be reduced due to locating all the heavy actuators at the fixed base. The inverse kinematics and workspace analyses are presented. The robot prototype and PC-based control system are developed.

  • Many golf balls have wrong rotation axis owing to bad production and scratch. A flying golf ball makes sliced or curved motion mainly to owing the wrong rotation axis of golf ball. Dimples of golf ball make a golf ball higher and more straight flying. When we hit a golf ball by driver or iron club, the dimpled ball flies straight and rotates as well. While the ball flying, the rotating axis of the ball convergence. And this makes the ball motion curved. If we hit a golf ball in direction of the rotation axis, the flying ball makes straight motion. In this paper, we develop a control system to detect convergence axis and time of flying golf ball based on vision system. To show validity of the developed system, We experimented several case for dimpled golf balls.

  • In this paper, we enlarge the ball of convergence of a uniparametric family of secant-like methods for solving non-differentiable operators equations in Banach spaces via using ${\omega}$-condition and centered-like ${\omega}$-condition meantime as well as some fine techniques such as the affine invariant form. Numerical examples are also provided.

  • The Buckling of the member under compressive stress is likely to occur, which is an important factor determining the strength of structures. The objective of this study was to evaluate the member buckling strength of a circular hollow steel with ball joints and to compare with design specifications for load resistance factor of our country. Furthermore, we would like to suggest basic data for evaluation of buckling length of a circular hollow steel with ball joints according to comparative analysis. These results were summarized as follows: Buckling stress according to the test results on buckling was 1.21 times greater than LSD specifications of our country estimated the entire length of circular hollow steel with ball joints as buckling length. In addition, it was 1.16 times greater than when estimating the length except the ball as buckling length and 1.14 times grater than when excluding the ball and sleeve. Therefore, when estimating buckling stress of circular hollow steel with ball joints, their buckling length may be measured by the length except ball and sleeve.

  • Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between the ball velocity and the upper extremity kinematics for both dominant and non-dominant side in inexperienced participants about an overarm throwing task. Method: Seven women who are inexperienced in overarm throwing participated in this study (Age: $25.1{\pm}2.4years$, Height: $160.8{\pm}3.5$; Weight $56.5{\pm}7.8$). Participants visit the laboratory for three days with one day rest between test sessions. Whole body 3-dimensional (3D) motion capture was recorded during the overarm throwing trials with ten cameras Vicon motion analysis system (T-10, T40, Oxford Metrics Ltd, UK). Total 45 overarm throwing were recorded for each side for each test session. Ball speed also was measured 3 meters away behind the subjects and recorded for every trial. Results: Mean ball velocity was higher for dominant hand compared to non-dominant hand (p <.05). Trunk segment variables (maximum angles and angular velocities) showed the most consistent relationship with the ball velocity. Conclusion: The importance of the trunk segment during the throwing activities can be seen in some individuals. But inconsistent results between subjects emphasize the importance of the individuals' movement patterns especially for bilateral sports. The future studies should be conduct about the sequence of segments, kinetic variables and effect of training.

  • This study was conducted to investigate the growth of Dendranthema zawadskii in damaged soils when they are treated with improvement agents. The treatments consisted of a control (unamended field soil) and the application of a loess ball of 1 cm to the field soil. According to the degree of damage the de-icing agent had caused, the soils were divided into 3 areas (based on the yellowing of Pinus densiflora for. multicaulis in soil surveys): H (high saline), M (medium saline), and L (low saline). A total of six treatments were performed: D. zawadskiia plant without soil amendment (H; high saline soil, M; medium saline soil, L; low saline soil), and a D. zawadskiia plant with loess ball on the soil surface (H.L; high saline soil with loess ball, M.L; medium saline soil with loess ball, L.L; low saline soil with loess ball). The results showed that D. zawadskiia growth went from highest to lowest in the order: M.L > L.L > M > L > H.L > H. Plant growth results showed that soils treated with soil amendments (loess ball) were better for D. zawadskii growth than untreated soils.
