The necessity of convergence education is more emphasized based on the education policy for fostering creative men of talent. Inside universities, however, programs for training talented individuals are still at primary stage. Universities understanding the importance of convergence education and thus founding some major fields of convergence studies have experienced hosts of troubles. The paper discusses the necessary plans of supports from the government and the university to activate the convergence education in accord with the social demands. Twenty-eight professors in engineering colleges participated in the survey for reviewing the required factors for the convergence education. In addition, structured interviews were carried out with three specialists working in industry and academic area of convergence technology. The study could suggest the following activation plans based on the government supports: (1) establishing a support center of convergence education, (2) founding a major field of convergence, (3) developing curriculums and curriculum subjects, and (4) hosting related conferences and forums. Also, the study could suggest the following activation plans based on the university supports: (1) developing special programs on convergence education in accord with the industrial demands, (2) revising regulations and administrative systems more flexible for the convergence education, and (3) providing incentives to the participants in the convergence education.

Information technology convergence has been recognized one of the key drivers in the industry perspective. Korea government established IT convergence policy in 2008 and has been implementing it to the core industry such as automotive, shipbuilding and defense industries. This research analyzes various IT convergence issues based on an operation of defense IT convergence center, one of the industry IT convergence centers. Defense IT convergence issues are as follows : the methods for introducing rapid changing IT to military area, rapid deployment procedures of verified commercial technologies and products, regulations for using of domestic software promotion and so on. We define the concept of defense IT convergence and propose the framework and processes for applying IT to our defense sector as one of industries. Also, we establish various business models in the military perspective using defense IT convergence framework. In this paper, we focus the development of defense IT convergence through the alignment of national IT convergence policy and propose various business models established through operating a defense IT convergence center.

This study examined the impact of variables(collaboration, convergence motive, convergence thinking) on the creativity problem solving of engineering college students. 522 students among engineering colleges in Pusan and Ulsan were sampled. For the statistical analysis, analysis of covariance structure by AMOS 18.0 was applied. Results from structural equation modeling analyses indicated that a hypothesized model produced a better fit to the data than a comparative structural model. The hypothesized model shows the following results. On the basis of the hypothesized model, collaboration effected to directly convergence motive and creative problem solving, and convergence motive effected to directly convergence thinking, convergence motive effected to directly creative problem solving, convergence thinking effected to directly creative problem solving, and collaboration effected to indirectly convergence thinking by convergence motive. Therefore this study suggested the collaboration, convergence motive and convergence thinking are significantly variables to facilitate the creative problem solving for knowledge fusion in engineering.

We will define p-stack convergence spaces and show that each neighborhood structure is uniquely determined by p-stack convergence structure. Also, we will show that p-stack convergence spaces are a generalization of neighborhood spaces.

In this paper, we consider various types of convergence theorems of Choquet integral. We also show that the autocontinuity of finite fuzzy measure is equivalent to a convergence theorem with respect to convergence in measure.

In this paper, we discuss convergence theorem for exponentially bounded C-semigroups. We establish the convergence of the sequence of generators of exponentially bounded C-semigroups in some sense implies the convergence of the sequence of the corresponding exponentially bounded C-semigroups. Under the assumption that R(C) is dense, we show the equivalence between the convergence of generators and exponentially bounded C-semigroups.

In this paper, we study the concepts of Wijsman lacunary invariant convergence, Wijsman lacunary invariant statistical convergence, Wijsman lacunary ${\mathcal{I}}_2$-invariant convergence (${\mathcal{I}}^{{\sigma}{\theta}}_{W_2}$), Wijsman lacunary ${\mathcal{I}}^*_2$-invariant convergence (${\mathcal{I}}^{\ast}^{{\sigma}{\theta}}_{W_2}$), Wijsman p-strongly lacunary invariant convergence ([W₂N_σθ]_p) of double sequence of sets and investigate the relationships among Wijsman lacunary invariant convergence, [W₂N_σθ]_p, ${\mathcal{I}}^{{\sigma}{\theta}}_{W_2}$ and ${\mathcal{I}}^{\ast}^{{\sigma}{\theta}}_{W_2}$. Also, we introduce the concepts of ${\mathcal{I}}^{{\sigma}{\theta}}_{W_2}$-Cauchy double sequence and ${\mathcal{I}}^{\ast}^{{\sigma}{\theta}}_{W_2}$-Cauchy double sequence of sets.

Recently, the emergence of smartphone foster the technological convergence. This convergence no longer takes place within technologies only. Rather, convergence phenomena happen as a form of embodied services. However, previous research on convergence has been subject to the technology-oriented studies, including suggesting patent-based indexes or analyzing technological characteristics. However, investigating technology-service convergence is critical since most of new smart services are technology-based convergence services. Therefore, we analyze the pattern of technology-service convergence which occurs in the smartphone application services. We divided the smatphone application services into four categories, and employ a network analysis to represent the convergence phenomena of each category. Our study is expected to provide meaningful implication in new service development practice.
