  • One of the eventual goals of VR research is to provide valuable experiences to the participants. In this work, we view that the content of experience is composed of a sequence of events, and develop algorithms authoring those events. Event authoring can be realized by controlling agents in VE in two different modes: (1) the autonomous mode, in which the agent exhibit autonomous behaviors based on the current world status and its own personality, and (2) the event mode, in which the behaviors generated form the autonomous mode is further controlled to meet the needs of the experiment. We define the event authoring language, so that the authors can design experiments by writing event-programs. Then the architecture of event execution manager is described, which is the heart of event-program execution. prove the effectiveness of our approach by showing results of several experiments.

  • This study proposed a traffic responsive urban traffic control system using RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) technology to get traffic information. The proposed system is a decentralized control using model predictive control. The objective of proposed system is to get traffic data using advanced technology for controlling the junctions' traffic rights. A simulation example is provided to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed model.

  • In this study, we take into account in improving traffic flow in real-time problem. In order to solve the problem, we propose a new approach to manage traffic flow at the intersection in real-time via controlling by traffic light scheduling. In particular, the proposed method is based on process synchronization theory and connected vehicle technology where each vehicle is able to communicate with others. The traffic deadlock is also taken into consideration in case of high traffic volume. The simulation shows the potential results comparing with the existing traffic management system.

  • The smallest green laser containing a built-in temperature controlling unit has been demonstrated. The device volume was just 0.5 cubic centimeters, which is nearly the same size as existing red and blue diode lasers, has an electrical-to-optical conversion efficiency of 10% and 150 mW power output. Furthermore as an alternative approach for compact green laser development, a quasi-phase matching method with wide spectral bandwidth for the reduction of speckle noise will be presented.

  • The dynamic characteristic analysis of AC Servomotor which is controlled by AC square voltage is studied in this paper. Although nonconventional sampling method is proved to be effective in controlling the output by changing square voltage width, it is difficult to attack the problem by the classical method. In order to solve the problem easily, the state transition method is introduced in this paper. One of the important advantages of this approach is that the analysis procedure is of a recursive nature and this can readily be programed on a digital computer to yield a quick, accurate solution. Various output characteristics are identified by changing the square voltage width and much improved output response is obtained when the square voltage widths are modulated for the initial period.

  • This paper proposes to integrate WAP(Wireless Application Protocol) with Bluetooth to implement a home automation system. One of the most important benefits of the proposed approach is the elimination of the problem of limited distance of Bluetooth as less than 10 meter. With WAP providing a data link between the Internet and a mobile phone and embedded WEB camera through Bluetooth, we can control various home appliances whenever and wherever we want. The hardware and software design issues for implementing such system are discussed and a pilot home automation system is implemented.

  • This paper describes the design of a robust adaptive controller for a nonlinear dynamical system with unknown nonlinearities. These unknown nonlinearities are approximated by multilayered neural networks (MNNs) whose parameters are adjusted on-line, according to some adaptive laws far controlling the output of the nonlinear system, to track a given trajectory. The main contribution of this paper is a method for considering input constraint with a rigorous stability proof. The Lyapunov synthesis approach is used to develop a state-feedback adaptive control algorithm based on the adaptive MNN model. An overall control system guarantees that the tracking error converges at about zero and that all signals involved are uniformly bounded even in the presence of input saturation. Theoretical results are illustrated through a simulation example.

  • Sliding control is a powerful approach to controlling nonlinear and uncertain systems. Conventional sliding mode control suffer' from high control gain and chattering problem. also it needs mathematic! modeling equations for control systems. A Fuzzy controller is endowed with control rules and membership function that are constructed on the knowledge of expert, as like intuition and experience. but It is very difficult to obtain the exact values which are the membership function and consequent parameters. In this paper, without mathematical modeling equations, the plant parameters in sliding mode are estimated by the indirect adaptive fuzzy method. the proposed algorithm could analyze the system's stability and convergence behavior using Lyapunov theory. so sliding modes are reconstructed and decreased tracking error. moreover convergence time took a short. An example of inverted pendulum is given for demonstration of the robustness of proposed methodology.

  • A binary-coupled dipole approximation (BCDA) is described for designing metal nanoparticles with nonperiodic structures in one, two, and three dimensions. This method can be used to simulate the variation of near- and far-field properties through the interactions of metal nanoparticles. An advantage of this method is in its combination with the binary particle swarm optimization (BPSO) algorithm to find the best array of nanoparticles from all possible arrays. The BPSO algorithm has been used to design an array of plasmonic nanospheres to achieve maximum absorption, scattering, and extinction coefficient spectra. In BPSO, a swarm consists of a matrix with binary entries controlling the presence ('1') or the absence ('0') of nanospheres in the array. This approach is useful in optical applications such as solar cells, biosensors, and plasmonic nanoantennae, and optical cloaking.

  • We have studied the effect and application of CST which is the function and disease of the autonomic nerve system based on recovery of flexibleness of the autonomic nerve. CST purpose to keep sustenance of human body by recovering joints have limitation of mobility and controlling autonomic nerve system by diminution tense of the sympathetic nerve. CST makes well flowing of CSF by pressure the fourth ventricle of the brain or relaxation of soft tissues of the base of a cranial bone. There is no result of studies about CST in Korea yet. It will bring a benefit if it prove the effect of CST in countries depend on drugs way high such as Korea. It needs positive approach and definite research for the improvement.
