Precise Measurement of Unbalance Moment Using 3-Point Weighing Method (3점 측정방식을 사용한 불평형 모멘트의 정밀 측정)

  • Gravitational centers of precise spinning components must coincide with the rotational centers of those to reduce noise and vibration and to extend those lift as well. Therefore quality control should be performed in the manufacturing process, in which the unbalance moments are accurately measured. In this paper 3-point weighing method is adopted to measure the unbalance moment of small-sized precision spinning elements using electronic scales with 0.1 mg resolution. Firstly methods to eliminate the fixture error and to reduce the effects of frictional force that is known as side effect, are proposed. A measuring system is developed and various experiments are performed to verify the proposed approach. The measured and calculated values are analysed in statistical methods, and this provides the errors of the measuring system. The results show that the proposed theory and test procedures gives reliable unbalance moments and gravitational centers.

  • The single phase switched reluctance motor(SRM) is simpler in control circuit because the number of switching devices is fewer than the poly phase SRM. The energy density per unit volume is very big because all stator poles are excited simultaneously by a single switching power source. But it must be provided a starting device on account of not being generated the starting torque at specific rotor positions. And also it has some demerits that have a torque ripple, noise and vibration because of being excited by switching pulse power source. Therefore, to make up for these demerits, it is realized many studies for the structure design used by computer and the operating methods by power electronics technique. In this paper, we'll present the comparison of the single phase SRM with the various rotor pole face types, as like stepped rotor pole face type and general rotor pole face type.   • The aim of this paper is to open up a relatively new type in bridge engineering by introducing plan and design of extradosed bridge which is implemented in Sungnam-Janghowon T/K project. The topic encompasses parametric study including the behavior of the bridge relevant to the cable layout, the distance from pier table to the first cable's location, the height of pylon, the stiffness of cross section and wind vibration to ascertain sectional type of bridge and span length. For the purpose of the knowledge base presented here, the important feature of design is recommended such as modeling method, camber control, finite element analysis and heat hydration of pier table. We can verify the issue related to the characteristics of extradosed bridge as a result of study and design endeavor.

  • This paper describes the reduction of vibration and position error of Linear Pulse Motor(LPM) with the control method of PWM duty ratio by using Motion Controller in LPM. The LPM is operated on micro-stepping drive, that the linear scale is sequently returned the position signals of a micro-meter And next micro-step is controlled with the scale factor when position error is occurred. The scale factor is experimently acquired.

  • Diesel engines have the advantages of good fuel efficiency and low emissions. Therefore, car makers have been developed various kinds of diesel engine management system to clean up emissions while improving fuel efficiency. One of them is the common rail system. In the common rail system, diesel fuel is injected into the combustion chamber at ultra high pressures up to 1,800 bar to ensure more complete combustion for cleaner exhaust gas, and highly precise multiple injection reduces NOx emission, combustion noise and vibration. Generally speaking, common rail system consists of booster pump, high pressure pump, common rail, injectors, control valves, and sensors. The high pressure pump receives low pressure fuel from the booster pump and supply high pressure fuel to injectors through the high pressure common injection rail. Therefore, high pressure pump has an important role in common rail system. In this paper, we have investigated the performance of high pressure pump of common rail system.

  • Until now, most studies of foot moving or driving posture have been performed under laboratory driving conditions. But there are many different things between actual driving conditions and laboratory driving conditions because, in laboratory conditions, it is hard to consider vehicle's noise, vibration and people's psychology state while driving. Thus this study is performed through actual driving conditions. And while driving test, we recorded driver's foots with 2 cameras to investigate foots(left and right) heel point and how human foots move to control the three pedals : accel, brake and footrest.. Through driving test, the results of this study show that the position of driver's heel point isn't related to stature and tends to be generalized.

  • 다음 세대의 우주 비행선(spacecraft) 및 우주 구조물 등은 매우 정밀한 수행 능력은 물론 발사 경비의 절감을 위해 자체 무게를 최대한 줄일 수 있는 설계 방안을 요구하고 있다. 이같은 중 요한 요구 조건들을 만족시킬 수 있는 진동 제어의 한 방법으로써 재료 고유진동감쇠(material damping)의 효과적인 응용이 매우 중요시 되고 있다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 열기류(Thermal currents)에 의해 발생하는 열탄성 진동감쇠(thermoelastic damping)를 연관 열탄성학(coupled thermoelasticity)에 근거하여 해석적으로 추정하고 진동감쇠율에 구조적, 기하학적 형태가 미치는 영향에 관해 고찰하였다. 단일 구조물의 형태, 경계조건 및 진동모우드 등이 진동감쇠에 미치는 영향을 새로운 계수로서 공식화 하였으며 아울러 최대 진동 감쇠율을 얻을 수 있는 최적조건을 고찰하였다.

Chaotic Behavior of a Double Pendulum Subjected to Follower Force (종동력을 받는 이중진자의 혼돈운동 연구)

  • In this study, the dynamic instabilities of a nonlinear elastic system subjected to follower forces are investigated. The two-degree-of-freedom double pendulum model with nonlinear geometry, cubic spring, and linear viscous damping is used for the study. The constant, the initial impact forces acting at the end of the model are considered. The chaotic nature of the system is identified using the standard methods, such as time histories, power density spectrum, and Poincare maps. The responses are chaotic and unpredictable due to the sensitivity to initial conditions. The sensitivities to parameters, such as geometric initial imperfections, magnitude of follower force, direction control constant, and viscous damping, etc., are analysed. Dynamic buckling loads are computed for various parameters, where the loads are changed drastically for the small change of parameters.

  • This roport explain the basic theory of desinging the accelerating durability test road and the role of each factors contributing to test road surface profile. Also this road is designed by considering the charactors of vehicle suspension system and condition of driving. In test road, the factors affecting to the vehicle Structural durability are correlation among surface shape of road profile, frequency of vehicle suspension system, distribution of axletwist angle and vibration profile height Road PSD magnitude and frequency delay is used to control these factors relation.

  • Using sensors to detect current or voltage of motors is disadvantaged because motor is exposed to vibration, impacts, corrosion, high temperature and humidity in the machinery structure like HEV. In the case of IPMSM, position information is included not only in the flux or EMF term but also in the rotator inductance because of its saliency. To solve this problem, a new mathematical model of IPMSMs on fixed frame is proposed and an extended EMF includiing rotating position information is defined to estimate extended EMF. A strong low-pass filter through the variable cut-off frequency using velocity function was proposed. This makes it is possible to estimate extended EMF by least order disturbance observer. The proposed method was proved through the experiment.
