  • In this paper, A Connection Admission Control(CAC) algorithm by Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation is proposed. The B-ISDN will be required to carry traffic generated by a various traffic sources. These source will have all traffic flow characteristics and quality of services requirements. When a connectionless message with burstiness arrives at a node during a renewal period, CAC will be dynamically determined connection request by using the predetermined connection admission bounds in estimating the number of input arriving cells. The proposed algorithm estimates the available bandwidth by observing cell streams of the aggregate traffic. A connection request is accepted if the available bandwidth is larger than declared peak rate, and otherwise rejected. The proposed CAC scheme is shown to be promising and practically feasible in obtaining efficient transmission of burst traffic with guaranteed quality of services.

  • This study was performed to investigate the optimum moisture content and the best packaging method of dried persimmons for long term storage at room temperature. The package material to be used were 0.05mm polyethylene film, Wrap film, 0.08mm LDPE film exchanged nitrogen gas, and non package for untreated control. Before the storage, the initial moisture contents of dried persimmons were treated with 40%, 35% and 30%, respectively; 40% as traditional dryness, 35% as extending dry period one more week, and 30% as for two more weeks. The best package method was 0.08mm LDPE film exchanged nitrogen gas, and the optimum moisture control was 35%

  • The effectiveness of behavior group counseling using the games of children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder(ADHD) was studied with 24 primary school children (12 each in the experimental and in the control groups). The subjects were selected on the basis of the Abbreviated Conners Teacher Rating Scale-Revised. The counseling program consisted of 12 sessions over a 6-week period. Effectiveness of the training was evaluated with the Conners Teacher Rating Scale-Revised, the ADHD teacher's rating scale, and the Korea-Child Behavior Checklist. Findings were that the group receiving counseling exhibited improved attention, social relationships, and self control. They also exhibited decreased carelessness-passivity, hyperactivity, hostility and fewer behavior problems.

  • This study investigated the effectiveness of integrated movement on children's fundamental and expressive movement ability in all-day kindergarten. Subjects were 52 children in 2 all-day kindergartens in Daejeon. The Subjects were divided into an experimental and a control group. Integrated movement activities were applied in the experimental group for 7 weeks. Integrated movement activities were focused on the life theme according to the annual and weekly education plan and were composed by integrating both the basic area and the application area of movement. At the end of the training period, differences were found in fundamental and expressive movement ability between the experimental and the control groups.

  • This study was peformed to control the thermal crack of the mat footing slab in the multi-purposed buildings. In this study, we executed the mixing design of concrete to satisfy the workability and the quality according to the site conditions. And, we evaluated quantitatively about the possibility of thermal crack by using hydration heat analysis system. Finally, we proposed the optimal mixing conditions, curing methods and curing period which all factors are considered. As a results, the optimal mixing conditions were : W/B 41%, unit binder 375kg/$cm^{2}$, FA replacement ratio 20%. Lowest thermal stress was 22.0kgf/$cm^{2}$ and at that time thermal crack index was over 1.5, when the coefficient of thermal conductivity was lowest among the curing conditions. And, the total curing time was estimated at 6.7 days according to curing steps.

  • In this study, the diffusion of chloride ions in cement concrete made with and without the limestone powder was investigated. In order to study the effect of the limestone powder, all mixtures were prepared at a fixed water-cementitious ratio (0.45). From the experimental results, the setting time of limestone powder concrete is faster than that of control concrete, and compressive strength of all specimens decreased with increasing replacement ratio of limestone powders. The diffusion properties of limestone powder concretes indicated a trend increasing with curing period. LSA10 and LSA20 concretes, the diffusion coefficient was smaller than that of control concrete. The addition of $10-20\%$ limestone powder reduces the diffusion coefficient of chloride ions, irrespective of fineness levels of limestone powder.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to verify the effect of aromatherapy hand massage on the anxiety of gastroscopy clients. Method: The data were collected during the period from March 10 to May 20, 2004 at S-Hospital in Kyungi-Do. There were sixty subjects, 30 for the experimental and 30 for the control group. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, $X^2$-test and paired t-test with SPSS program. Result: The pulse rate was reduced significantly, but there were no significant differences in the systolic and diastolic blood pressure between two groups. The status anxiety of experimental group was lower than the control group, but there was no significant difference statistically. Conclusion: Aromatherapy could be useful in the nursing practice, and be utilized as a way of nursing intervention to reduce anxiety of the client in specific clinical situations.

  • The effects of storage time (0, 1, and 2 month) and temperature (5, 15, and $25^{\circ}C$) on the dynamic rheological properties of hot pepper-soybean paste (HPSP) mixed with acetylated starches (AS) were studied by small-deformation oscillatory measurements. Dynamic moduli (G', G", and $\eta^*$) values of HPSP-AS mixtures increased with an increase in storage time and also decreased with increasing storage temperature. However, dynamic moduli values of the control (no added AS) were independent on storage time and temperature. Tan $\delta$ values (ratio of G"/G') in all HPSP samples did not change much with an increase in storage time and temperature. After 2 months of storage, the dynamic moduli of the HPSP-AS mixture samples were much lower than those of the control, indicating that the addition of AS can inhibit the retrogradation that developed over a long period of storage. Structural and rheological properties of HPSP samples seem to be stabilized by the presence of AS.

  • This study was performed to provide basic data for the sous-vide duck breast by comparing its water content, pH, color, number of microorganism, mechanical quality characteristic test, springiness, and sensory test with its control group which was cooked in traditional way. Sous-vide duck breast brightness, yellowness, and springiness. It l redness, hardness, and number of microorganism than its control group. There was no significant pH difference. Although sous-vide duck breast need longer cooking time, it was softer and had springiness. Overal-vide duck breast longer storage period and than traditionally cooked duck breast in sensory teste expected.

  • This study was aimed to verify the anti-diabetic activity of Kangdangboeumbang(KBB) in NOD mice which is Insulin Dependent Diabetes Mellitus(IDDM). The reduction of blood glucose after oral administration between 14 weeks by 2 weeks period to a NOD mice in KBB extract treatment group was showed from 7 day after comparing with control group. KBB extract treatment group increasd insulin secretion amount of serum than control group and decreased IFNγ production. The pancreatic β-cells is destroyed by Th1-dependent autoimmune disease in NOD mice. KBB extract treatment group intercepted the progress of edematous islet controlling inflammatory mononuclear cells of infiltration that also destruction of pancreatic β-cells electively in a NOD mice.
