In this paper, I design the control chip that controls inner test sequence of Logic Tester to test chip. Logic tester has the thirteen inner instructions to control test sequence in test. And these instructions are saved in memory with test pattern data. Control chip generates address and control signal such as read, write signal of memory. Before testing, necessary data such as start address, end address, etc. are written to inner register of control chip. When test started, control chip receives the instruction in start address and executes, and generates address and control signals to access tester' inner memory. So whole test sequence is controlled by making the address and control signal in tester's inner memory. Control chip designs instruction's execution blocks, respectively. So if inner instruction is added from now on, a revision is easy. The control chip will be made using FPGA of Xilinx Co. in future.
Programmable logic controller (PLC) is widely used in manufacturing system or process control. This paper presents the design of a 32-bit microprocessor for a sequence control using an Application Specification Integrated Circuit (ASIC). The 32-bit microprocessor was designed by a VHDL with top down method; the program memory was separated from the data memory for high speed execution of 274 specified sequence instructions. Therefore it was possible that sequence instructions could be operated at the same time during the instruction fetch cycle. And in order to reduce the instruction decoding time and the interface time of the data memory interface, an instruction code size was implemented by 32-bits. And the real time debugging as single step run, break point run was implemented. Pulse instruction, step controller, master controllers, BIN and BCD type arithmetic instructions, barrel shit instructions were implemented for many used in PLC system. The designed microprocessor was synthesized by the S1L50000 series which contains 70,000 gates with 0.65um technology of SEIKO EPSON. Finally, the benchmark was performed to show that designed 32-bit microprocessor has better performance than Q4A PLC of Mitsubishi Corporation.

This study investigated the influences of the cooperative learning strategies upon students' achievement and their perceptions of learning environments in a middle school physical science course. Prior to instruction, the Group Assessment of Logical Thinking was administered, and its score was used as a blocking variable. Mid-term examination score was used as a covariate. For the treatment group with heterogeneous grouping, cooperative learning instruction (the Learning Together model) was used, which emphasized group reward, individual accountability, and role division. For the control group, traditional instruction was used. After instruction, an achievement test consisting of three subtests (knowledge, understanding, and application), and the perception questionnaire of classroom and laboratory environments, were administered. ANCOVA results revealed that there was a significant interaction between instruction and the level of logical reasoning ability although there were no significant differences in all three subtest scores of the achievement test. For the concrete operational reasoners, the treatment group performed better in the subtests of understanding and application than the control group. For students at the formal and transition levels, however, the treatment group scored lower than the control group. Significant interactions were also found in the perceptions of classroom environment and laboratory environment. For the concrete operational reasoners, the treatment group showed more positive perception than the control group. For the students at the formal and transition levels, the control group had positive perception than the treatment group. Educational implications are discussed.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of metacognitive strategy on conceptual acquisition ofvseasonal change and self-efficacy when it was applied to 6th grade elementary students. This study consists of 2 classes, 76 students in the 6th grade of elementary school, which were divided into the experimental group (38) and the control group (38). First, a pre-test was administrated to check students' levels of metacognitive self-regulation and self-efficacy prior to getting planned lessons and then an instruction program was developed based upon the metacognitive instruction model and students' conception. The control group was exposed to traditional methods mainly using the textbook and teacher's guide book. The experimental group employed a metacognitive learning strategy program and activities with metacognitive questionnaires. After the planned lessons, the students were tested with post-tests about the conception of seasonal change and self-efficacy. One month later the students were tested again with another test to determine the continuation effect. The results were as follows: First, the group that used metacognitive conceptual change instruction did better in forming and continuing to maintain the scientific seasonal change conceptions compared to the control group. Second, the high and intermediate group taught by metacognitive conceptual change instruction was higher in the level of self-regulation than the control group. However, it was not verified in the low group. Third, the group which used metacognitive conceptual change instruction showed a higher level of self-efficacy than the control group did.
As the first step toward real-time multi-core computing, this paper presents a novel approach to bounding the worst-case performance for threads running on multi-core processors with shared L2 instruction caches. The idea of our approach is to compute the worst-case instruction access interferences between different threads based on the program control flow information of each thread, which can be statically analyzed. Our experiments indicate that the proposed approach can reasonably estimate the worst-case shared L2 instruction cache misses by considering the inter-thread instruction conflicts. Also, the worst-case execution time (WCET) of applications running on multi-core processors estimated by our approach is much better than the estimation by simply assuming all L2 instruction accesses are misses.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of a structured preoperative instruction upon anxiety and postoperative self-care compliance. Methods: A randomized control group pre-post design was used. Sixty subjects undergoing cataract surgery were randomly assigned to one of two groups. The instruction consisted of cataract surgery procedure, sensory information, deep breathing, use of eye drop, and post op self-care regimen and was provided to the experimental group with control group receiving an usual treatment. State anxiety NRS, pulse, BP, and self-care compliance scale developed by Cho & Rho were used. Data were collected at two time periods: on the day of surgery in the clinic and prior to anesthesia in the operating room. The postoperative self-care compliance scores were measured at their second visits to the hospital after surgery. Data were analyzed using Kolmogorov Smirnov test, t-test, and Mann-Whitney U test. Results: There were significant differences between the two groups in the postoperative state anxiety (t=-3.57, p=.001) and the postoperative self-care compliance score (t=3.92, p<.001). There were no significant difference between the two groups in the postoperative blood pressure and pulse rate. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that the structured preoperative instruction could be a nursing intervention for cataract surgery patients.
The purpose of this study is to analyze of gifted students' improvement on mathematical attitude and problem-solving ability through project-based materials in science high school. For this study, research questions are established as follows. 1. Does the project-based materials-used instruction have a positive effect on improving problem-solving ability? 2. Does the project-based materials-used instruction have a positive effect on improving mathematical attitude? To solve these research questions, this study employed a survey and interview type investigation for gifted students' mathematical attitude and problem-solving ability. A subject of classes were randomly selected among the 11th grader in D science high school and designated one class as the experimental group and the other class as the control group. Twelve hours of the project-based materials-used instruction and the traditional textbook-oriented instruction had been carried out in each class. Findings on this study are as follows: First, the project-based material-used instruction is shown to be more effective in enhancing problem-solving ability than the traditional textbook-oriented instruction. Second, the project-based material-used instruction is shown to be more effective in improving mathematical attitude than the traditional textbook-oriented instruction.
This empirical test of the efficacy of the literature-based reading instruction was conducted with 63(31 male and 32 female) 2nd grade elementary school children. Subjects in the experimental group had 40-45 minutes literature-based reading instruction twice weekly; those in the control group had only basic text reading. Procedures included a pilot study, pre-test, experimental period, and post-test. Research instruments included the Basic Learning Skill Test(Park et al., 1988), the Qualitative Reading Inventory(Leslie & Caldwell, 1990), and the Elementary Reading Attitude Survey(Mckenna & Kear, 1990). Data were graded and scored by each research question and then analyzed with a t-test of differences between the groups. The experimental group showed higher word recognition, text comprehension, and story grammar strategies than the control group. They also showed more improvement in each of these categories than the control group.

The important field of research in ship operation is related to the high efficiency of transportation, the convenience of maneuvering ships and the safety of navigation. For these purposes, many intelligent technologies for ship automation have been required and studied. In this paper, we propose an intelligent voice instruction-based learning (VIBL) method and discuss the building of a ship's steering control system based on this method. The VIBL system concretely consists of two functions: a text conversion function where an instructor's inputted voice is recognized and converted to text, and a linguistic instruction based learning function where the text instruction is understood through a searching process of given meaning elements. As a study method, the fuzzy theory is adopted to build maneuvering models of steersmen and then the existing LIBL is improved and combined with the voice recognition technology to propose the VIBL. The ship steering control system combined with VIBL is tested in a ship maneuvering simulator and its validity is shown.
