  • The dynamic geometric environment plays a positive role in solving students' geometric problems. Students can infer invariance in change through dragging, and help solve geometric problems through the analysis method. In this study, the continuous spectrum of the dynamic geometric environment can be used to solve problems of students. The continuous spectrum can be used in the 'Understand the problem' of Polya(1957)'s problem solving stage. Visually representation using continuous spectrum allows students to immediately understand the problem. The continuous spectrum can be used in the 'Devise a plan' stage. Students can define a function and explore changes visually in function values in a continuous range through continuous spectrum. Students can guess the solution of the optimization problem based on the results of their visual exploration, guess common properties through exploration activities on solutions optimized in dynamic geometries, and establish problem solving strategies based on this hypothesis. The continuous spectrum can be used in the 'Review/Extend' stage. Students can check whether their solution is equal to the solution in question through a continuous spectrum. Through this, students can look back on their thinking process. In addition, the continuous spectrum can help students guess and justify the generalized nature of a given problem. Continuous spectrum are likely to help students problem solving, so it is necessary to apply and analysis of educational effects using continuous spectrum in students' geometric learning.

  • The soil-water characteristic curve (SWCC) plays an important role in determining the soil suction parameters required to predict the seepage or shear behaviors of unsaturated soils. In addition, path dependency of the SWCC affects the mechanical and hydrologic behaviors. In general, there is a disadvantage that it takes a long time to measure both the drying and wetting paths of the SWCC by a stepwise pressurization method. Thus, the continuous pressurization method as an improved testing method for the SWCC was suggested, and the testing time for two paths of the SWCC was significantly shorter than the conventional methods. For the applicability evaluation of this method, the results of the SWCC obtained by the stepwise pressurization method and the evaporation method in this study were compared to the result obtained from this method. As a result, it was found that the difference among three methods was negligible, and the testing time of the continuous pressurization method was greatly decreased. Therefore, it can be said that it is possible to quickly and accurately measure the SWCC under various conditions by the continuous pressurization method.

  • The dynamic characteristics of continuous steel-concrete composite beams considering the effect of interlayer slip were investigated based on Euler Bernoulli's beam theory. A simplified calculation model was presented, in which the Mode Stiffness Matrix (MSM) was developed. The natural frequencies and modes of partial-interaction composite continuous beams can be calculated accurately and easily by the use of MSM. Proceeding from the present method, the natural frequencies of two-span steel-concrete composite continuous beams with different span-ratios (0.53, 0.73, 0.85, 1) and different shear connection stiffnesses on the interface are calculated. The influence pattern of interfacial stiffness on bending vibration frequency was found. With the decrease of shear connection stiffness on the interface, the flexural vibration frequencies decrease obviously. And the influence on low order modes is more obvious while the reduction degree of high order is more sizeable. The real natural frequencies of partial-interaction continuous beams commonly used could have a 20% to 40% reduction compared with the fully-interaction ones. Furthermore, the reduction-ratios of natural frequencies for different span-ratios two-span composite beams with uniform shear connection stiffnesses are totally the same. The span-ratio mainly impacts on the mode shape. Four kinds of shear connection stiffnesses of steel-concrete composite continuous beams are calculated and compared with the experimental data and the FEM results. The calculated results using the proposed method agree well with the experimental and FEM ones on the low order modes which mainly determine the vibration properties.

  • Purpose: In this study, it was proposed a plan to build the Continuous Preventive Audit System in the military Organization with the expectation that we will develop an efficient audit method under the rapidly changing audit and work environment in the future. Method: it was examined the realities and problems of the military self-audit, the cases of the Continuous Preventive Audit System currently being used by government departments and institutions and internal control inspection of the information system of the Foreign Audit Office. Result: Government departments, agencies, and foreign auditors have established a Continuous Preventive Audit System to overcome the problems and limitations of their own audits, ensuring accounting accident prevention and audit work efficiency and are focused on auditing internal controls of information systems. Conclusion: In the future, more specific studies on the design of detailed scenarios for each function of defense work and the research and analysis on the improvement of defense information system should be followed for the establishment and settlement of a more specific Continuous Preventive Audit System.

  • This paper is a study on the recognition of continuous speech and uses a method of speech recognition using syntactic analysis and one-stage DMS/DP. In order to perform the speech recognition, first of all, we make DMS model by section division algorithm and let continuous speech data be recognized through One-stage DMS/DP method using syntactic analysis. Besides the speech recognition experiments of proposed method, we experiment the conventional one-stage DP method under the equivalent environment of data and conditions. From the recognition experiments, it is shown that Ole-stage DMS/DP using syntactic analysis is superior to conventional method.

  • In this study, we propose an efficient method for monitoring continuous top-k queries. In contrast to the conventional top-k queries, the presented top-k query considers both spatial and non-spatial attributes. We proposed a novel main-memory based grid access method, called Bit-Vector Grid Index (BVGI). The proposed method quickly identifies whether the moving objects are included in some of the grid cell by encoding a non-spatial attribute value of the moving object to bit-vector. Experimental simulations demonstrate that the proposed method is several times faster than the previous method and uses considerably less memory.

  • Thus study presents the basic concepts of 3 span continuous preflex composite beam of bridges by re-up down of supports and analysis relationship of between variables and stress of critical section. Also, it shows the pre-compression effects of re-up down of supports method by presenting the difference of between old section and new section got from new method. This study's new method makes more economic sections to be possible and when the sections designed with the existing method are used in the new method. efficient stress state is accomplished.

  • An experimentally measured single footfall trace (SFT) from a walking subject needs to be extended into a continuous force curve, which can then be used as load for floor vibration serviceability assessment, or on which further analysis like discrete Fourier transform can be conducted. This paper investigates the accuracy, applicability and parametrical sensitivity of four extension methods, Methods I to IV, which extends the SFT into a continuous time history by the walking step rate, stride time, double support proportion and the double support time, respectively. Performance of the four methods was assessed by comparing their results with the experimentally obtained reference footfall traces in the time and frequency domain, and by comparing the vibrational response of a concrete slab subjected to the extended traces to that of reference traces. The effect of the extension parameter on each method was also explored through parametrical analysis. This study finds that, in general, Method I and II perform better than Method III and IV, and all of the four methods are sensitive to their extension parameter. When reliable information of walking rate or gait period is available in the test, Methods I or II is a better choice. Otherwise, Method III, with the suggested extension parameter of double support time proportion, is recommended.

  • We have used multifactor dimensionality reduction (MDR) method to study genegene interaction effect of statistical model in general. But, MDR method could not be applied in the continuous data. In this paper, continuous-type data by the support vector machine (SVM) algorithm are proposed to the MDR method which provides an introduction to the technique. Also we apply the method on the identify major interaction effects of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) responsible for economic traits in a Korean cattle population.

  • Physical systems axe generally continuous-time in nature. However as the data measured from these systems is generally in the form of discrete samples, and most modern signal processing is performed in the discrete-time domain, discrete-time models are employed. This paper describes methods for estimating the coefficients of continuous-time system within a closed loop control system. The method employs a recursive estimation algorithm to identify the coefficients of a discrete-time bilinear-operator model. The coefficients of the discrete-time bilinear-operator model closely approximate those of the corresponding continuous-time Laplace transform transfer function.
