As the library and information environment advanced, librarians should participate in continuing education programs for the improvement of services to satisfy users' need. To develop a curriculum model of continuing education for academic librarians, we reviewed related previous studies and continuing education programs performed both in Korea and overseas. Then. a survey was done to the academic librarians sampled systematically to identify the subject need for education. Based on the analysis, 2 sets of comprehensive curriculum were devised for the middle managers and working librarians respectively. The curriculum for the middle managers is consisted of 27 courses in 9 subject fields. and the curriculum far the working librarians is consisted of 25 courses in 7 subject fields. We selected one highly demanding subject from each curriculum, and developed specific educational program models. 'Library marketing' for middle managers and 'building and management of digital information resources' for working librarians. Program models include educational goal, content, teaching/learning strategies. duration time, teaching methods/tools, and instructor qualifications in detail. Finally, recommendations are suggested for the promotion and settlement of the continuing education.

This study aims to propose a set of guidelines for the development of university librarians' continuing education program. It examines previous academic literature regarding such programs both in Korea and overseas, as well as the present condition and demands of Korean university librarians. A survey was conducted by systematically sampling 33.3% of all university librarians nationwide and asking about their experiences with the existing continuing education program(e. g., general satisfaction level, program topics, program administration, evaluation methods, outreach methods, reasons for participation). The survey results show that the participants: (1) had a relatively low satisfaction level; (2) strongly demand programs focusing on library promotion, management of information resources and knowledge content, and skills to adiust to the rapidly changing library environment; (3) prefer a week-long course focused on specialized subjects and skill development; and (4) cite more specialized education content, the establishment of a support system, and diversified education levels as factors that would further their interest in the continuing education program.
This study was carried out to investigate the check shelling distribution of Lindera erythrocarpa Makino in Kanghwa Island, MT. Suri, Kyunggido and MT. Kaya, Chungchongnamdo. The results were as follows : The total distribution area of Linedra erythrocarpa where are Jeondeung temple and Jugsu temple Kanghwa Island, MT. Suri, Kyunggido and MT. Kaya, Chungchongnamdo was 344.4ha and the total number of Linedra erythrocarpa was 3,224. The total number of femle Linedra erythrocarpa was625(22.2%) except the seedlings under 2cm of DBH(Diameter breast of height). For the estimation of tree age by counting of tree rings, the regression equation was Y=1.79X+9.47($R^2$=0.83, DBH=cm). The soil acidity of stands studied was $pH4.6{\sim}pH5.8$. And the soil acidity of Seoul was $pH4.2{\sim}pH4.5$ So for the Planting Linedra erythrocarpa in Seoul area, the soil acidity of planting area should be changed to $pH4.6{\sim}pH5.8$. The flower size of and female of Linedra erythrocarpa was 5.96mm, 3.66mm, respectively. The length of petiole of male and female of Linedra erythrocarpa was 5.96mm, 3.66mm, respectively. The length of petiole of male and female of Linedra erythrocarpa was 5.96mm, 3.66mm, respectively. And the number of flowers per flowering bud of male and female were 13.4, 11.2, respectively. The flowering period of Lindera erythrocarpa in Suwon was 21 days from May 2 to May 22. And The leaf continuing period of Lindera erythrocarpa in Suwon was 203 days from April 7 to October 27. And the fall-foliage color continuing period was 10 days from October 18 to October 27. The fruit continuing period of Lindera erythrocarpa in Suwon was 61 days from September 26 to November 26.
Purpose - This paper aims to articulate determinants of inter-organizational cooperation based on to the extent to which inter-organizational tasks are related to product development and production processes. Design/Methodology - This research conducted OLS regression analysis based on the data acquired from questionnaire survey in Korean auto industry. Findings - Our analysis has verified that complementary and compatible resources, as well as physical and human asset specificities, positively affect inter-organizational product development cooperation. Conversely, in the production process, only complementary resources positively affect inter-organizational cooperation, whereas compatible resources and physical asset specificity have a negative influence. The changing characteristics of compatible resources (with IT innovations and AI), and physical asset specificity (influenced by a rising need to reduce production costs), cause inter-organizational cooperation in production to decrease. Originality/value - This research attempts to expound upon these determining factors of inter-organizational cooperation by considering both complementary-compatible resources and asset specificity in product development and production simultaneously. The reason why the impact of complementary-compatible resources and asset specificity on inter-organizational cooperation is critical in understanding the determinants of inter-organizational cooperation is that the attributes of complementary-compatible resources and asset specificity in production have changed drastically due to the continuing diffusion of IT innovations and AI (Artificial Intelligence).
Objectives: The lack of advance planning in a public health emergency can lead to wasted resources and inadvertent loss of lives. This study is aimed at forecasting the needs for healthcare resources following the expansion of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak in the Republic of Kazakhstan, focusing on hospital beds, equipment, and the professional workforce in light of the developing epidemiological situation and the data on resources currently available. Methods: We constructed a forecast model of the epidemiological scenario via the classic susceptible-exposed-infected-removed (SEIR) approach. The World Health Organization's COVID-19 Essential Supplies Forecasting Tool was used to evaluate the healthcare resources needed for the next 12 weeks. Results: Over the forecast period, there will be 104 713.7 hospital admissions due to severe disease and 34 904.5 hospital admissions due to critical disease. This will require 47 247.7 beds for severe disease and 1929.9 beds for critical disease at the peak of the COVID-19 outbreak. There will also be high needs for all categories of healthcare workers and for both diagnostic and treatment equipment. Thus, Republic of Kazakhstan faces the need for a rapid increase in available healthcare resources and/or for finding ways to redistribute resources effectively. Conclusions: Republic of Kazakhstan will be able to reduce the rates of infections and deaths among its population by developing and following a consistent strategy targeting COVID-19 in a number of inter-related directions.
The recent concerns over the threat of global climate change and the requirements of national reduction of $CO_2$ emission have led to the diversification of energy resources and a large scale integration of renewable resources. In these circumstances, the policy decision currently made by the government sector includes several programs to promote the equipment of large scale generating assets to use wind energy. However, the power systems and wind farms need such innovative operation scheme schemes that maintain an adequate level of system security for continuing growth of renewable resources. This paper presents a method for determining optimal operating points for wind farms by making use of a nonlinear interior point method.
