Purpose: Do close linkages among employees during service encounters always enhance customer satisfaction? Drawing on literature in social psychology, this research argues that under certain circumstances close linkages among employees undermine customer satisfaction. More specifically, this research explores a service failure context and shows that higher task interaction among employees during service encounters leads to higher perceived firm entitativity, resulting in an individual employee's service failure being detrimental to customer satisfaction with the firm. Data and research methodology: A series of experiments using scenarios across different service contexts was used in order to test hypotheses. Data was collected via Amazon Mechanical Turk and the models were tested using Hayes PROCESS. Results: The results show that interactions among employees during service result in 1) lower satisfaction with the firm and 2) lower revisit intentions in the future when there is a service failure by an individual employee. Following the main effects analysis, mediation analysis shows that the effect of employee interaction on customer satisfaction with the firm and revisit intention is mediated by perceived firm entitativity. Implications: By examining contexts where employee interaction may be detrimental to firms, this research provides novel insights on how to manage communications among service employees.
Most stochastic taggers can not resolve some morphological ambiguities that can be resolved only by referring to lexical contexts because they use only contextual probabilities based ontag n-grams and lexical probabilities. Existing lexical rules are effective for resolving such ambiguitiesbecause they can refer to lexical contexts. However, they have two limitations. One is that humanexperts tend to make erroneous rules because they are deterministic rules. Another is that it is hardand time-consuming to acquire rules because they should be manually acquired. In this paper, wepropose context-dependent lexical rules, which are lexical rules based on the statistics of a taggedcorpus, and an ambiguity-driven teaming method, which is the method of automatically acquiring theproposed rules from a tagged corpus. By using the proposed rules, the proposed tagger can partiallyannotate an unseen corpus with high accuracy because it is a kind of memorizing tagger that canannotate a training corpus with 100% accuracy. So, the proposed tagger is useful to improve theaccuracy of a stochastic tagger. And also, it is effectively used for detecting and correcting taggingerrors in a manually tagged corpus. Moreover, the experimental results show that the proposed methodis also effective for English part-of-speech tagging.

In this study, the improvement plan for the appropriate archives opening system in this country was proposed, by searching for the optimal operating method of opening system of archival institutions through the foreign instances related to the integrated type operation and the separate type operation. The opening system in the archival institutions shall be operated in consideration of the characteristics of the preserved archives and the various values and contexts rather than riding on the administrative logics. Elegance in dress has existed as one of the important archetypes of aesthetic consciousness through the times. Nevertheless, there has generally been Ignored the Idea of analyzing it. The purpose of this study is to provide a framework for a better understanding of the beauty of dress by constructing the concept of elegance in dress as both one of aesthetic categories in dress and refined taste in the sociocultural contexts. For the purpose, the documentary study in sociocultural and aesthetic contexts has been executed. Considering from the holistic viewpoint, elegance in dress is based upon the idea of aristocratic taste cultivated by good breeding. It is expressed visually through not only the carefully contrived dress hut also a sort of aura of dressed body - a combination of appearance, behavior, attitude, manner etc.- with skillful ease. The aesthetic values of elegance consist of luxury, nobility, refinement, femininity, harmony Luxury means rarity and opulence of materials, craftsmanship for excellent qualities, genuineness. Nobility, related to the lady and the gentleman, can be explained as neatness. decency. modesty. and appropriateness for formal occasions. Refinement involves artifice, sophistication, maturity, and subtleness. Femininity reflects the characteristic of feminine attractiveness such as the dainty, the florid, the sweet. Harmony means organic unity. matching with body, moderation in opposition to exaggeration. These values has rather interactivity than exclusion. It is refinement and harmony that are centered on of all values.

This paper proposed the context awareness reasoning system to provide the personalized services dynamically in a ubiquitous mobile environments. The proposed system is designed to provide the personalized services to mobile users and consists of the context aggregator and the knowledge manager. The context aggregator can collect information from networks through Open API Gateway as well as sensors in a various ubiquitous environment. And it can also extract the place types through the geocoding and the social address domain ontology. The knowledge manager is the core component to provide the personalized services, and consists of activity reasoner, user pattern learner and service recommender to provide the services predict by extracting the optimized service from user situations. Activity reasoner uses the ontology reasoning and user pattern learner learns with previous service usage history and contexts. And to design service recommender easy to flexibly apply in dynamic environments, service recommender recommends service in the only use of current accessible contexts. Finally, we evaluate the learner and recommender of proposed system by simulation.
Professor Hasuk Song argues that every argumentum ad ignorantiam, i.e. the argument from ignorance is not fallacious, and social contexts play a crucial role to judge whether the argument is fallacious or not. I generally agree with him, but I think we cannot have help from his position without knowing what those contexts are. In this paper, I argue that the concept of burden of proof is the crucial one to judge whether ad ignorantiam is plausible or not, and then present four criterions who have the burden of proof. There is a burden of proof on one who argues first, who insists the doubtful ones, who has powers, and who thinks that a situation is not dangerous.

Innovation Cosystems are Conceptualized as Organizational Networks of Economic Actors, Technologies and Social Contexts that Interact for Knowledge Production, use, and Adaptation. This Paper Proposed a Conceptual Framework to Describe Value Co-creation of Organizational Networks Engaged in Technology Innovation. We Adopted Theory-Based Approach by Integrating the Perspective of Service-Dominant (S-D) Logic Into the Evolutionary Model of the Triple Helix. The Framework Gives a Plausible Explanation on how Actors Collaborate to Create Value in Dynamic Contexts of an Innovation Ecosystem. The Innovation Ecosystem can be Considered as a Composite of Sub-Ecosystems, Including Knowledge, Sectoral, and Business Ecosystems. When these Sub-Ecosystems are Recursively Transformed by Coordination of Functional Mechanisms that Serve Value Co-creation in the Innovation Process, the Innovation Ecosystem will be Re-Organized and Evolve. The case of the Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) was Examined to Demonstrate the Fundamental Mechanisms for Value Co-creation that was Described in the Framework. The case Study Indicates Features of Value Co-creation when Implementing Innovation in Organizational Networks.
Applications in ubiquitous environments should provide the best services to users by considering the changes of users requirements and service environments, and should adapt service behaviors to the underlying platform's behaviors according to contextual changes. To reflect users requirements actively and provide more flexible services, we propose 2-level context adaptation method for supporting dynamic application adaptability in contextual changes. We offend the range of contexts to users requirements for supporting context adaptation. It can reflect users preferences in offering application services. For application adaptability, we use adaptation policies to allow applications require how they adapt to specific contexts, and to make them react actively on such situations.
The purpose of this study is to develop and validate an Engineering Empathy Instrument. Engineering empathy is defined as the ability that encompasses the following three qualities, a skill to interpret social issues and phenomenon that may occur in the process of interactions between human beings and engineering systems, a practical orientation that enables one to take stakeholders' perspectives to carry out an engineering project, and a professional way of being that acknowledges empathic skills and associated practice orientations. Based on this notion, we develop a scale to measure engineering empathy and have surveyed 429 engineering students. Evidence for the validity and reliability of the scale is presented. In conclusion, we find that engineering empathy can be measured and conceptualized as three domains: a Learnable Skill (ELS), a Practical Orientation (EPO), and a Professional Way (EPW). We also find that sophomores show the highest level of engineering empathy as compared with other graders. While students accumulate technical knowledge, their understanding about engineering in social and interpretational contexts gets weakened. This implies that engineering education necessarily emphasizes the impacts of engineering solutions in interpersonal, societal, technologies, and environmental contexts.
This study presents the results of a case study that investigated a seventh grader's fractional reasoning related to multiplicative reasoning. In addition, by employing domain analysis and taxonomic analysis for analyzing qualitative data, I show how a qualitative methodology was used for the data collected by teaching experiment methodology. The study identifies three distinct issues that emerged as the student engaged in solving fraction problems: a view of fractions as operations vs. results, the issue of units, and mixed numbers vs. improper fractions. These three issues have instructional implications in that each of them is critical in developing multiplicative reasoning and investigating how they relate to each other suggests a way to improve multiplicative reasoning in fractional contexts.
