A Study on the Factors of Individual Acceptance for Online Game (온라인게임의 개인적 수용 요인에 관한 연구)

  • Online games belong to a technology-oriented service industry that has emerged from the assimilation of game contents and communication networks in the respective realms of culture technology (CT) and information technology (IT). This study examines the individual acceptance of online games as entertainment-oriented technology based on the belief-attitude-intention paradigm and the underlying hedonic and utilitarian motivations. To measure the latent variables influencing the acceptance process, a structured questionnaire was developed based on the existing Technology Acceptance Model. Research model analysis and hypothesis testing were carried out using a structural equation model. Results indicated that latent variables reflecting hedonic and utilitarian characteristics had a significant influence on user behavior in the acceptance of online games. By uncovering the core factors in! fluencing the acceptance of online games and thereby theoretically verifying the latent variables influencing the acceptance of entertainment-oriented technology, this study provides strategic implications for business models by game companies aimed at attracting a large user base and dominating the market.

Quality Characteristics of Citrus Fruit by Cyclic Low Pressure Drying and High Hydrostatic Pressure Extraction (초고압 처리에 의한 감귤의 추출률 및 특성변화)

  • We developed a method for improving the antioxidant activities of Citrus extracts through cyclic low pressure drying(CLPD) and a high hydrostatic pressure extraction (HPE) process. Citrus fruits were prepared for water extraction at $60^{\circ}C$ and 300 MPa for 5 min (high hydrostatic pressure extraction, HPE5) and 15 min (high hydrostatic pressure extraction, HPE15) after cyclic low pressure drying method. Extraction yields obtained by cyclic low pressure drying and high hydrostatic pressure extraction process were 20.41, 23.47, and 28.19%, respectively. Total polyphenol contents were increased by combined process. Generally, CLPD and HPE resulted in higher yields than the conventional extraction process. Further, HPE15 showed 48.21% DPPH radical scavenging activity (EDA, %) at $1,000{\mu}g/mL$. In general, antioxidant activities of Citrus increased by CLPD and HPE. Therfore, CLPD and HPE of Citrus resulted in higher antioxidant activity than conventional water extraction.

Creep Behavior of Pultruded Ribbed GFRP Rebar and GFRP Reinforced Concrete Member (인발성형된 이형 GFRP 보강근과 GFRP 보강 콘크리트 부재의 크리프 거동)

  • Fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) has been gathering interest from designers and engineers for its possible usage as a replacement reinforcement of a steel reinforcing bar due to its advantageous characteristics such as high tensile strength, non-corrosive material, etc. Since it is manufactured with various contents ratios, fiber types, and shapes without any general specification, test results for concrete members reinforced with these FRP reinforcing bars could not be systematically used. Moreover, since investigations for FRP reinforced members have mainly focused on short-term behavior, the purpose of this study is to evaluate long-term behaviors of glass FRP (GFRP) reinforcing bar and concrete beams reinforced with GFRP. In this paper, test results of tensile and bond performance of GFRP reinforcing bar and creep behavior are presented. In the creep tests, results showed that 100 years of service time can be secured when sustained load level is below 55% of tensile strength of GFRP reinforcing bar. A modification factor of 0.73 used to calculate long-term deflection of GFRP reinforced beams was acquired from the creep tests for GFRP reinforced concrete beams. It is expected that these test results would give more useful information for design of FRP reinforced members.

Chemical Components, Antioxidant Activity, and α-Glucoamylase Inhibitory Activity of a New Mushroom Variety 'Dahyang' (신품종 갈색양송이 '다향'의 화학성분과 항산화활성 및 α-Glucoamylase 저해활성)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the quality characteristics, antioxidant activity, and ${\alpha}$-glucoamylase inhibitory activity of Dahyang, a Chungnam Agricultural Research & Extension Service's newly bred cultivar of brown button mushroom. Total phenolic compound contents of Dahyang and the no. 705 mushroom were 189${\pm}$12 mg% and 168${\pm}$8 mg%, respectively. The major free sugars in Dahyang were mannitol (3.11%), xylose (0.12%), and trehalose (0.08%). ${\beta}$-Glucan content was 28.34% in Dahyang and 26.55% in the no. 705 mushroom, respectively. Electron donating ability by DPPH in Dahyang and the no. 705 mushroom was 52.14% and 45.27% for the water extract, and 57.81% and 46.93% for the 80% ethanol extract, respectively. ${\alpha}$-Glucoamylase inhibitory activity in a 10 mg/mL concentration of water extract were was 33.25% in Dahyang and 29.22% in the no. 705 mushroom, respectively.

Design and Implementation of Automatic Linking Support System for Efficient Generating and Retrieving Integrated Documents Based on Web (웹 통합문서의 효율적 생성과 검색을 위한 자동링크지원 시스템의 설계 및 구축)

  • With the advent of distributed computing and Web service technologies, lots of users have been requiring services that can conveniently obtain and/or support well-assembled information based on Web. For this reason, we are to construct Automatic Linking Support Systems for generating Web-based integrated information and supporting retrieval information according to user's various requirements. Our system organization is based on client/server system. A server environment consisted of automatic linking engine that can provide lexical analyzing, query processing and integrated document generating functions, and databases that are made of dictionaries, image and URL contents. Also, client environments consisted of Web editor that can generate integrated documents and Web helper that can retrieve them via automatic linking engine and databases. For client's user-friendly interfaces, web editor and helper programs can directly execute by down leading from a server without setup them before inside clients. For reducing server's overheads, Parts of server's executing modules are distributed to clients on which they can be executing. As an implementation of our system, we use the JDK 1.3, SWING for user interfaces like Web editor and helper, RMI mechanism for interaction between clients and a server, and SQL server 7.0 for database development, respectively. Finally, we showed the access procedures of automatic document linking engine and databases from Web editor or Web helper, and results appearing on their screens.

Study on the Curriculum standards model of Green Coffee Education (그린커피교육 교과과정 기준 모형 개발에 관한 연구)

  • It has been realized that the flavor of coffee depends on the coffee-producing region and the growing condition. It has also been realized that the species of coffee beans influence the taste of coffee. However, coffee education is currently underway mainly for the simple job training of baristas such as roasting, extracting and customer service, and very little education on green coffee is being done. Therefore, this study is to contribute to the basic research material for the curriculum development of green coffee education. Through surveys to coffee instructors and students to investigate the current situation of green coffee education and awareness level of green coffee, the requirements of green coffee education has been analyzed. Further, the teaching direction and learning factors of green coffee have also been analyzed through Interview Analysis to coffee professionals. Based on the result thereof, this study is to suggest systematic lecturing-learning standards by presenting an education goal of green coffee, selection of education contents, determination of subject name, and composition and listing of education units to be learned. This study will be one of the basic research materials to plan and design the curriculum for green coffee education.

Lipid Type Effects on the Quality Characteristics of Pork Patties (지방의 종류가 돈육 Patty 의 품질 특성에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the effect of lipid type on the physicochemical properties and sensory score of pork patties. The samples consisted of pork patties containing 20% pork fat (PP), 20% olive oil (OP), and 20% soybean oil (SP). The surface color, water holding capacity, increased rate in thickness, decreased rate in diameter, rheological properties, pH, VBN content and TBARS value were determined for the pork patties as the physicochemical properties: the sensory scores were also evaluated. The $L^*$ value for PP was the highest, and the lowest for OP among the samples (p<0.05). For the $a^*$ value OP was the highest among the samples, and the $b^*$ value of OP was lower than that of the PP (p<0.05). The water holding capacity and increased rate of thickness were higher for PP than for OP and SP (p<0.05). The cooking loss and decreased rate of diameter of PP were lower than those of OP and SP (p<0.05). The hardness and springiness of OP and SP were higher than those of PP, and SP had the highest chewiness among the samples (p<0.05). However, cohesiveness and gumminess were not different among the samples. The pH of SP was the highest among the samples, and the TBARS value of OP was lowest (p<0.05). The VBN contents were not different among the samples. The amounts of raw color for OP and SP were higher than that of PP (p<0.05). The raw aroma was not different among the samples. Also, roasted aroma and taste were not different among the samples, but the tenderness, juiciness, and palatability of SP were the highest among the samples (p<0.05).

Child-Care Facility and Kindergarten's Demands on Foodservice Support by Center for Child-Care Foodservice Management (CCFSM) in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do (서울.경기지역 보육시설 및 유치원 대상 어린이급식관리지원센터 지원 요구도 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the differences between child-care facilities and kindergartens towards the need for foodservice support by Center for Child-Care Foodservice Management (CCFSM). For this study, questionnaires were sent out from August of 2008 to April of 2009 to directors of 1,478 child care facilities and 299 kindergartens in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do via postal service. A total of 267 questionnaires were usable with 203 (13.7%) of child-care facilities and 64 (21.4%) of kindergartens. Statistical data were analyzed by SPSS 15.0 for descriptive analysis and t-test. For political and administrative support, government funding for foodservice was the highest need and hiring nutritionists was significantly different by type of facility (p < 0.01). Both child-care facilities (4.29) and kindergartens (4.41) demanded the balanced menu from CCFSM. There were significant differences of "information about food material sanitation management" (p < 0.05), "hygiene safety management method according to working process" (p < 0.05), "hygiene safety management method of foodservice facilities and equipment" (p < 0.05). In education and training contents from center, "types and methods to manage foodservice facilities and equipment" for directors, "dietary education by age" for teachers, and "the rules of personal sanitation and working process" and "gas, electricity and fire prevention" for culinary workers had the highest mean score of requirements.

Comparison of Antioxidant Activities of Wild Grape Seed (Vitis coignetiea seed) Extracts by Solvents (머루종실의 용매별 추출물의 항산화 활성 비교)

  • This study investigates the antioxidant activities of wild grape seed (Vitis coignetiea seed) extracts by solvents. Organic extracts of hexane, chloroform, ethyl acetate and butanol were obtained from the ethanol extracts of wild grape seed (Vitis coignetiea seed). Total phenolic compound contents of extracts from wild grape seed (Vitis coignetiea seed) by solvents were the highest in ethyl acetate extract, 64.9 mg/100 g. Electron donating abilities of organic solvent fraction obtained from 80% ethanol extracts of wild grape seed were proportionally increased with concentration, and the ethyl acetate extract(90.0%) showed stronger activities than BHT and Ascorbic acid at concentration of $100\;{\mu}L$/mL. Reducing power of organic solvent fraction obtained from 80% ethanol extracts of wild grape seed was the highest in the ethyl acetate extract(2.83) at concentration of $1,000\;{\mu}L$/mL. TBARS of the ethyl acetate extract was highest. Nitrite scavenging ability of organic solvent fraction obtained from 80% ethanol extracts of wild grape seed(pH 1.2, $1,000\;{\mu}L$/mL) was the highest in ethyl acetate extract(76.9%).

Effect of a Mixture of Extracts from Residues of Onion Left after Onion Harvesting and Purslane (Portulaca oleracea) on Productivity and Quality Characteristics of Organic Onions (양파 수확 후 잔재물과 쇠비름 추출물이 유기농 양파의 수확량 및 품질 특성에 미치는 영향)

  • This study assessed the effects of treatment with sap extract from onion residues postharvest and purslane on the quality and quantity of organic onions. At the bending stage, onions treated with the sap extract showed vigorous growth, with higher plant heights, more leaves, and longer sheath lengths than untreated onions. The onion yield was significantly increased when the plant was treated with extracted sap as compared with that of untreated plants (p<0.05). The bulb weight distribution of onions in the mixed onion and purslane treatment was also significantly increased (~300 g) as compared with that of the other treatment (p<0.05). Except for CaO and S, the mineral content of the onions produced from plants treated with the onion and purslane extract mixture was higher than those of onions in the other treatment. The hardness of onions produced from plants treated with the onion and purslane extract was significantly increased (8% and 20%, respectively) as compared with that of onions produced from plants treated with the onion extract only or no treatment (p<0.05). However, there was no significant difference in the sugar contents of the onions produced from extract-treated and nonextract-treated plants. Postharvest, the content of inorganic components (phosphate, calcium, sulfuric acid, and manganese) was higher in soil treated with the onion extract than in soil treated with the onion and purslane extract and non-treated soil. It can be concluded that residues left after onion harvests and purslane extract can be used as natural and environmentally friendly materials for the cultivation of organic onions.
