As the development of ICT technology, in order to solve the problem of scattered water information's availability, WINS(Water management Information Networking System) by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport was established and has been operated since 2004. However, there has been a disadvantage of providing specialized and limited information to the water resources sector mainly and a lack of active sharing of information because of no compulsory provision of information sharing between participants. In order to solve these problems, this paper carried out system development study, to do this, the status of domestic water information was surveyed and domestic and overseas related systems were compared and analyzed. The latest ICT technology was used to realize the contents as screen, and the user interface definition was created to present a role model of integrated water management through maximizing visualization by combining GIS and realtime data and providing space-time integrated information. These prior studies reached to actual construction of the ICT-based integrated management system for water information by K-water. This system is in service to the public installed in the water information portal, "MyWater".
The article herein suggested a compound repository and a descriptive method to develop a compound knowledge process. A data target saved in a compound knowledge repository suggested in this article includes all compound knowledge meta data and digital resources, which can be divided into the three following factors according to the purpose: user roles, functional elements, and service ranges. The three factors are basic components to describe abstract models of repository. In this article, meta data of compound knowledge are defined by being classified into the two factors. A component stands for the property about a main agent, activity unit or resource that use and create knowledge, and a context presents the context in which knowledge object are included. An agent of the compound knowledge process performs classification, registration, and pattern information management of composite knowledge, and serves as data flow and processing between compound knowledge repository and user. The agent of the compound knowledge process consists of the following functions: warning to inform data search and extraction, data collection and output for data exchange in an distributed environment, storage and registration for data, request and transmission to call for physical material wanted after search of meta data. In this article, the construction of a compound knowledge repository for recommendation system to be developed can serve a role to enhance learning productivity through real-time visualization of timely knowledge by presenting well-put various contents to users in the field of industry to occur work and learning at the same time.

Caffeine is one of the most well known stimulants which can potentially increase mental performance, release fatigue and decrease depression. Green beans from different soils and climates contain different levels of caffeine, and as well as extracted coffee with different roasting and extracting methods. An investigation looking at pH, acidity, extractable solid and caffeine contents was assessed according to roasting and extracting conditions of various coffee beans. Brazilian coffee beans did not show much variation in pH with respect to roasting and extracting temperature, however, acidity increased in low roasting and extracting temperatures. This was however most prominently observed in Ethiopian and Indonesian coffee beans. The large expansion of coffee bean cells renders them highly porous to the passage of water, consequently extracted solids were found to increase with increasing temperature. This was especially apparent in Columbian coffee which had the highest extracted solids. The amount of caffeine extracted from coffee beans also increased with the higher temperature extraction. The Indonesian and Vietnam robusta coffee varieties showed the highest caffeine content.
It is important that acquire information about if customer has some habit in electronic commerce application of internet base that led in recommendation service for customer in dynamic web contents supply. Collaborative filtering that has been used as a standard approach to Web personalization can not get rapidly user's preference change due to static user profiles and has shortcomings such as reliance on user ratings, lack of scalability, and poor performance in the high-dimensional data. In order to overcome this drawbacks, Web usage mining has been prevalent. Web usage mining is a technique that discovers patterns from We usage data logged to server. Specially. a technique that discovers Web usage patterns and clusters patterns is used. However, the discovery of patterns using Afriori algorithm creates many useless patterns. In this paper, the enhanced method for the construction of dynamic user profiles using validated Web usage patterns is proposed. First, to discover patterns Apriori is used and in order to create clusters for user profiles, ARHP algorithm is chosen. Before creating clusters using discovered patterns, validation that removes useless patterns by Dempster-Shafer theory is performed. And user profiles are created dynamically based on current user sessions for Web personalization.
Background: The purpose of this research was to examine the fall incidence rate and its related factors of fall in inpatients. Methods: The data were collected from the 138 fall incident reports in one tertiary hospital in Seoul from April 1st 1999 to September 30th 2001. The Fall Incident Report Form was originally developed based on that of Massachusetts General Hospital revised in 1995. And this was modified for this survey by the collaborating work of QI team including researcher and department of nursing service of this particular hospital. The contents of Fall Incident Form were general characteristics of patient. factors related to fall. types and places of fall. circumstances, nursing interventions. and outcome. Results: 1) The incidence rate of fall was 0.08% of total discharged patients and 0.081 per 1000 patient-day. This incidence rate is much lower than that of several hospitals in USA. This finding might result from the different incidence report system of each hospital. 2) The characteristics of fall-prone patient were found as follows. They were mostly over 60 years old, in alert mental status, ambulatory with some assistance, and dependent on ambulatory device. The types of diseases related high incidence rate were cerebrovascular disease(3.2), hypertension(1.6), cardiovascular disease(1.4), diabetes(1.3) and liver disease(0.6). 3) The majority of fall events usually occurred m bed. bedside(walking or standing) and bathroom in patient room. Usually they were up on their own when they fell. And there were more falls of elderly occurred during night time than day or evening. 4) 63.8% of fall events resulted in physical injuries such as fracture and usually the patients had diagnostic procedures and some treatment(ex. suture) which caused additional cost to the patients and their families. 5) The found risk factors of fall were drugs(antihypertensive drug, diuretics) and environmental factors like too high bed height, long distance of bedside table and lamp switch, and slippery tile of bathroom floor. Conclusion: Considering these results, every medical and nursing staff should be aware of the risk factors of patients in hospital, and should intervene more actively the preventive managements, specially for the elderly patients during night. Therefore, it is recommended that the development of Fall Prevention Programs based on these results.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of different saccharides on the quality of apricot sulgidduk. Appearance color of honey-added group as compared to other samples in apricot sulgidduk were preferable and scanning electron microscopy exhibited smaller pores. pH and acidity of white-added group immediately after preparation were higher than those of other groups. Higher moisture contents of honey-added groups during storage were found but total bacterial counts immediately before storage were 1 log cycle lower than that of other samples. The highest 'L' values were found for white sugar added group but the highest 'a' and 'b' were for yellow sugar-added sample. In mechanical characteristics of apricot sulgidduk for 48 hrs during storage at $20^{\circ}C$, hardness, gumminess and brittleness were higher in oligosaccharide-added sample as compared to other samples, while cohesiveness and springiness were the highest in honey-added group. In sensory evaluation of the sulgidduk, honey-added group obtained the highest score in color, sweet taste, moisture, after swallowing and overall quality (p<0.05) These results suggest that apricot sulgidduk with honey can be used as commercially successful rice cakes.

This study was performed to investigate the storage properties of emulsion-type sausage added with Glycyrrhiza uralensis and Curcula longa hot water extracts (GCHE) extracted at $10^{\circ}C$ for 35 days. The TBARS values of sausages containing 1.0 and 5.0% GCHE were lower than that of control. The bacterial count and VBN contents of all the samples were significantly increased during the storage periods, except the group with 5.0% GCHE. The redness of all the samples was lower than that of control, while yellowness of all the samples was higher than that of control. The nitrite scavenging abilities of the sausages containing 1.0 and 5.0% GCHE were higher than that of the control. It is suggested that the addition of 1.0% hot water extracts extracted from these plants may be a potential substitute for the use of nitrite to extend shelf-life of sausages.

Contents of polyphenol compounds and the physiological activity of extracts from Grifola frondosa by water and methanol extraction were investigated to determine their functional effects. A functional beverage was developed using the extracts. The yield and phenolic compounds content of the water extracts were highest (49.2% and 327 mg/100 g, respectively), while for the methanol extraction method they were 28.7% and 130 mg/100 g, respectively. DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl) radical scavenging activity was 76.3% for the water extract and 65.4% for methanol extract, whereas the superoxide dismutase (SOD)-like activity was low ($26.3{\sim}36.8%\;at\;1,000{\mu}g/mL$ concentration) Angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitory effect of water extract (75.1%) was higher compared to the methanol extracts (41.2%). Tyrosinase inhibition activity was 42.5% for the water extracts and 31.8% for the methanol extracts at $1,000{\mu}g/mL$ concentration. The most acceptable formulation for G. frondosa beverage developed was 0.5% G. frondosa water extract, 8.0% oligosaccharide, 2.0% green tea extract, 2.0% jujube extract, 1.0% Solomon's seal extract, 0.01% vitamin C, and 2.0% apple extract. The final product had 9.8 Brix and color values of L, 35.2+1.1; a, 3.2+0.2; b, 13.6+0.3.

Recently, there has been a tremendous increase in the availability of educational materials for foreign language learning. As part of this trend, there has been an increase in the amount of electronically mediated materials available. However, conventional educational contents developed using computer technology has provided typically one-way information, which is not the most helpful thing for users. Providing the user's convenience requires additional off-line analysis for diagnosing an individual user's learning. To improve the user's comprehension of texts written in a foreign language, we propose an intelligent learning tool based on the analysis of the user's eyeball movements, which is able to diagnose and improve foreign language reading ability by providing necessary supplementary aid just when it is needed. To determine the user's learning state, we correlate their eye movements with findings from research in cognitive psychology and neurophysiology. Based on this, the learning tool can distinguish whether users know or do not know words when they are reading foreign language sentences. If the learning tool judges a word to be unknown, it immediately provides the student with the meaning of the word by extracting it from an on-line dictionary. The proposed model provides a tool which empowers independent learning and makes access to the meanings of unknown words automatic. In this way, it can enhance a user's reading achievement as well as satisfaction with text comprehension in a foreign language.
Background: For various reasons such as agricultural and economical purposes, land-use changes are rapidly increasing not only in Korea but also in the world, leading to shifts in the characteristics of local carbon cycle. Therefore, in order to understand the large-scale ecosystem carbon cycle, it is necessary first to understand vegetation on this local scale. As a result, it is essential to comprehend change of the carbon balance attributed by the land-use changes. In this study, we attempt to understand accumulated soil carbon (ASC) and soil respiration (Rs) related to carbon cycle in two ecosystems, artificially turned forest into pastureland from forest and a native deciduous temperate forest, resulted from different land-use in the same area. Results: Rs were shown typical seasonal changes in the alpine pastureland (AP) and temperate deciduous forest (TDF). The annual average Rs was $160.5mg\;CO_2\;m^{-2}h^{-1}$ in the AP, but it was $405.1mg\;CO_2\;m^{-2}h^{-1}$ in the TDF, indicating that the Rs in the AP was lower about 54% than that in the TDF. Also, ASC in the AP was $124.49Mg\;C\;ha^{-1}$ from litter layer to 30-cm soil depth. The ASC was about $88.9Mg\;C\;ha^{-1}$, and it was 71.5% of that of the AP. The temperature factors in the AP was high about $4^{\circ}C$ on average compared to the TDF. In AP, it was observed high amount of sunlight entering near the soil surface which is related to high soil temperature is due to low canopy structure. This tendency is due to the smaller emission of organic carbon that is accumulated in the soil, which means a higher ASC in the AP compared to the TDF. Conclusions: The artificial transformation of natural ecosystems into different ecosystems is proceeding widely in the world as well as Korea. The change in land-use type is caused to make the different characteristics of carbon cycle and storage in same region. For evaluating and predicting the carbon cycle in the vegetation modified by the human activity, it is necessary to understand the carbon cycle and storage characteristics of natural ecosystems and converted ecosystems. In this study, we studied the characteristics of ecosystem carbon cycle using different forms in the same region. The land-use changes from a TDF to AP leads to changes in dominant vegetation. Removal of canopy increased light and temperature conditions and slightly decreased SMC during the growing season. Also, land-use change led to an increase of ASC and decrease of Rs in AP. In terms of ecosystem carbon sequestration, AP showed a greater amount of carbon stored in the soil due to sustained supply of above-ground liters and lower degradation rate (soil respiration) than TDF in the high mountains. This shows that TDF and AP do not have much difference in terms of storage and circulation of carbon because the amount of carbon in the forest biomass is stored in the soil in the AP.
