  • At the neutral sections, There are neutral sections inserted in overhead contact line between the substations to divide different phase current sections of AC electrified lines. Except convention line, a large stress occurs in the contact wire near the fittings under passing pantographs. So, in order to raise the train speed over 150km/h, a new type section has been adopted.

100 kJ 낙석에너지 흡수가 가능한 유연성 와이어로프 낙석방지울타리 성능검증 (Performance Assessment of Flexible Wire Rope Rockfall Protection Fence for 100 kJ Energy Absorption)

  • 본 연구에서는 ETAG 027에서 제시하는 수직낙하실험법을 이용하여 100 kJ 낙석에너지를 포획할 수 있는 유연성 와이어로 낙석방지울타리에 대한 성능검증을 실시하였다. 유연성 와이어로프는 스프링과 와이어로프로 구성된 탄성력 증진 로프로서 와이어로프보다 탄성늘음이 향상되어 낙석과 와이어로프와의 접촉시간을 인위적으로 증가시켜 낙석 충격력 경감효과를 유발하고 낙석에너지 흡수효과 또한 향상시켰다. 9.8 kN의 콘크리트 공시체를 낙석방지울타리 상단 10.5 m 높이에서 자유낙하시켜 102.9 kJ의 낙석에너지를 낙석방지울타리에 가한 후 지주거동을 분석한 결과, 지주는 소성비틀림이 발생하였으며 탄성회복 후 최종변형량은 1.15 m로 ETAG 027에서 제시하는 기준인 2.0 m 이하의 결과가 제시되어 유연성 와이어로프 낙석방지울타리는 102.9 kJ의 낙석에너지를 성공적으로 흡수 가능한 것으로 확인되었다.

  • According to the statistical analysis on the electrical fire of 2005 years, most of electrical fire is generated from short circuit(4,985 cases), overcurrent(755 cases) leakage current(391 cases), poor contact(378 cases), disconnection(36 cases) on the electrical wiring device. The researches for the fire hazard about normal electric wiring have already been progressing in the advanced country such as USA and Japan, but Comparative study of the disconnection has not been conducted. Therefore, in this paper, we have simulated the thermal analysis for electrical wire according to deteriorating time in a normal state and disconnection with electrical wire using the electrical-thermal finite element method(Flux 3D). This paper acquire basis data of electricity fire signal by disconnection and wish to help for electrical fire cause diagnosis business.

  • Wire ropes are widely used in cable car, suspension bridge and elevator, etc. and composed of single or multi-layer strands. It is difficult to find out the characteristics of a strand or wire rope because of complicated geometry and contact condition. In this study, the axial stiffness is evaluated using finite element method and reliable finite element analysis model is presented, taking into consideration the convergence on the length. The axial stiffness predictive equation of a strand is developed using analysis of variance, which can be applicable for characterizing the relationship between load and displacement when the strand configuration is determined.

  • The effect of plasma cleaning was examined on package delamination phenomena in the integrated circuit (IC) packaging process. Without plasma cleaning, delamination was observed for all three experimental treatments applied after the packaging step, which include bake of If, reflow, and bake of If followed by reflow However, no delamination was observed when the plasma cleaning was performed before and after the wire bonding step. Plasma cleaning was found to be a critical step to improve the reliability of the package by reducing the possibility of contact failure between die pad and bonding wire.

  • Micro electrical discharge machining (EDM) as a non-contact machining process is very effective for micromachining with a thin electrode because of its low machining reaction force. The micro-electrode machining device has the advantage of maintaining high precision through the whole processes and uses a feeding wire in the thin electrode tool manufacturing process. This study describes the design and evaluation of a micro-electrode machining device using optical photo-interrupter. The electrode was fabricated by reverse electrical discharge machining. The performance of designed system was evaluated to measure tension force according to feed speed of wire. This system for micro electrode fabrication proves the feasibility in the micro-EDM process of the micro holes and parts for industrial applications.

가선재의 기계적특성에 미치는 부식환경의 영향 (Effects of Corrosion Environment on Mechanical Properties of Catenary Wires)

  • As most railways are gradually electrified with modernized electric cars, the demand for catenary wires and their facilities are also increased. Catenary Wires are exposed to the marine area with air-borne salt or severely polluted industrial area with much corrosive emission gases depending on the locations. Corrosion of catenaty wires can make their actual lifetime shorter than that originally designed. Thus, the messenger and ACSR wires, kinds of catenary wire system, were investigated with respect to corrosion, which include new and used ones collected at the field. Tensile strengths and elongations appeared to decrease when the wires were exposed to corrosive environments. The amount of decrease was more prominent as environmental conditions became more corrosive. They are also vibrated with some amplitude everytime pentographs touch contact line. The frequent cyclic load on the wire may result in a fatigue damage. Surface damage by corrosion can make fatigue crack initiate with ease. In the present study, the fatigue life of the used wire was measured 50 to 60% compared with that of new one in average.

  • The contact and messenger wire is important parts in the electric power system of the railroad. There are so many measurement method like voltage, current, scratch of surface, and glow longer of length. In this paper suggest real time monitering system of messenger wire so called RTU (Remote Terminal Unit) and this system includes CDMA module to transfer real time or saved data of memory to the end user directly who is in the long distance. The hyper terminal program of windows shows the downloaded data from RTU through CDMA communication and this data can be transferred to excel sheet easily.

스위스 치즈 모델을 적용한 철도 감전사고 발생형태에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Form of Electric Shock Accident Using Swiss Cheese Model)

  • Unlike conventional transmission and distribution lines, catenary system for operating electric railway vehicles are composed of multi-conductor groups (feeder line, contact wire, messenger wire, protection wire) and are used for railway employees, public or passengers in the station yards. Electric shock hazards are exposed and electric shocks such as death or serious injury are occurring in electric railway vehicles, railway high-voltage distribution lines, and catenary system. In order to analyze the types of electric shock accidents on railway by systematic approach method, we modeled 'unsafe behavior classification' method using swiss cheese model. Based on this method, we derived the type of electric shock accidents about railway accidents during the last 5 years by analyzing the frequency of occurrence of human errors and unsafe acts, laws and regulations related to violations, and so on.

  • The pantograph for Korean High Speed Train was developed and had been evaluating by through 'G7-R&D project for home grown high speed train technology' In this study, in mechanical aspect, the variation trend of contact force between pantograph and catenary according to the train running speed and driving pattern is conducted. A measuring system for current collecting performance and mechanical characteristics is used for this study, developed and installed on the prototype Korean High Speed Train, and physical characteristics were measured while the KHST runs on the test track. Through this study, remarkable trends of variation are found and analyzed from measured acceleration and vertical contact force between the pan head in pantograph and contact wire in catenary system according to the driving pattern and the train raised a running speed up to 300km/h.
