부분균형모형을 이용한 전복 수급전망모형 구축에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Abalone Outlook Model Using by Partial Equilibrium Model Approach Based on DEEM System)

  • The purpose of this study is to construct an outlook model that is consistent with the "Fisheries Outlook" monthly published by the Fisheries Outlook Center of the Korea Maritime Institute(KMI). In particular, it was designed as a partial equilibrium model limited to abalone items, but a model was constructed with a dynamic ecological equation model(DEEM) system taking into account biological breeding and shipping time. The results of this study are significant in that they can be used as basic data for model development of various items in the future. In this study, due to the limitation of monthly data, the market equilibrium price was calculated by using the recursive model construction method to be calculated directly as an inverse demand. A model was built in the form of a structural equation model that can explain economic causality rather than a conventional time series analysis model. The research results and implications are as follows. As a result of the estimation of the amount of young seashells planting, it was estimated that the coefficient of the amount of young seashells planting from the previous year was estimated to be 0.82 so that there was no significant difference in the amount of young seashells planting this year and last year. It is also meant to be nurtured for a long time after aquaculture license and limited aquaculture area(edge style) and implantation. The economic factor, the coefficient of price from last year was estimated at 0.47. In the case of breeding quantity, it was estimated that the longer the breeding period, the larger the coefficient of breeding quantity in the previous period. It was analyzed that the impact of shipments on the breeding volume increased. In the case of shipments, the coefficient of production price was estimated unelastically. As the period of rearing increased, the estimation coefficient decreased. Such result indicates that the expected price, which is an economic factor variable and that had less influence on the intention to shipments. In addition, the elasticity of the breeding quantity was estimated more unelastically as the breeding period increased. This is also correlated with the relative coefficient size of the expected price. The abalone supply and demand forecast model developed in this study is significant in that it reduces the prediction error than the existing model using the ecological equation modeling system and the economic causal model. However, there are limitations in establishing a system of simultaneous equations that can be linked to production and consumption between industries and items. This is left as a future research project.

알코올이 정신운동 및 운전행태에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Alcohol on Psychomotor Skill and Driving Behaviors)

  • 국내 2010년도 음주운전 교통사고는 28,641건으로 전체 사고건수 226,878건의 12.62%를 차지하고 있지만, 사망자수는 781명, 부상자수는 51,364명으로 전체 교통사고 사망자수인 5,505명의 14.19%, 부상자수인 352,458명의 14.57%로 여전히 높은 비율을 차지하고 있다. 음주운전으로 인한 교통사고를 예방하기 위해서 경찰 단속이나 법적규제를 강화하는 등 다양한 노력을 기하고 있지만 음주운전에 대한 사회문화적 관용과 상습음주운전자 관리 부재등으로 인하여 음주 관련 교통사고가 쉽게 줄어들지 않고 있는 것이 현실이다. 본 연구에서는 음주운전의 특성 및 음주에 따른 운전행동 변화를 실증적으로 알아보기 위하여 정신운동검사와 차량시뮬레이터를 활용하여 국내운전자 26명을 대상으로 음주 전 후 정신운동 및 운전 수행 결과를 비교분석 하였다. 정신운동검사 결과의 경우, 음주 후에는 음주 전에 비하여 정답수가 감소하고 오답수는 증가하였으며 생략반응 또한 증가되는 경향을 나타냈다. 그리고 차량시뮬레이터 실험결과에서는 음주 전에 비하여 음주 후의 주행속도가 상대적으로 빨라졌으며 가속페달 답력 편차 및 차량편측위치 편차가 커지는 등 위험운전 행태를 보였다. 이러한 결과는 알코올이 운전자의 시각인지능력 및 주행안전성을 저하시킨다는 것을 보여준다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 제한점 및 향후 연구방향을 제시하였다.

Modelling protection behaviour towards micronutrient deficiencies: Case of iodine biofortified vegetable legumes as health intervention for school-going children

  • BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: Despite successes recorded in combating iodine deficiency, more than 2 billion people are still at risk of iodine deficiency disorders. Rural landlocked and mountainous areas of developing countries are the hardest hit, hence the need to explore and advance novel strategies such as biofortification. SUBJECTS/METHODS: We evaluated adoption, purchase, and consumption of iodine biofortified vegetable legumes (IBVL) using the theory of protection motivations (PMT) integrated with an economic valuation technique. A total of 1,200 participants from three land-locked locations in East Africa were recruited via multi-stage cluster sampling, and data were collected using two, slightly distinct, questionnaires incorporating PMT constructs. The survey also elicited preferences for iodine biofortified foods when offered at a premium or discount. Determinants of protection motivations and preferences for iodine biofortified foods were assessed using path analysis modelling and two-limit Tobit regression, respectively. RESULTS: Knowledge of iodine, iodine-health link, salt iodization, and biofortification was very low, albeit lower at the household level. Iodine and biofortification were not recognized as nutrient and novel approaches, respectively. On the other hand, severity, fear, occupation, knowledge, iodine status, household composition, and self-efficacy predicted the intention to consume biofortified foods at the household level; only vulnerability, self-efficacy, and location were the most crucial elements at the school level. In addition, results demonstrated a positive willingness-to-pay a premium or acceptance of a lesser discount for biofortification. Furthermore, preference towards iodine biofortified foods was a function of protection motivations, severity, vulnerability, fear, response efficacy, response cost, knowledge, iodine status, gender, age. and household head. CONCLUSIONS: Results lend support for prevention of iodine deficiency in unprotected populations through biofortification; however 'threat' appraisal and socio-economic predictors are decisive in designing nutrition interventions and stimulating uptake of biofortification. In principle, the contribution is threefold: 1) Successful application of the integrated model to guide policy formulation; 2) Offer guidance to stakeholders to identify and tap niche markets; 3) stimulation of rural economic growth around school feeding programmes.

A randomized controlled trial of an individualized nutrition counseling program matched with a transtheoretical model for overweight and obese females in Thailand

  • BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVE: Effective weight reduction remains a challenge throughout the world as the prevalence of obesity and its consequences are increasing. This study aimed to determine the effects of an individualized nutrition counseling program (IC) matched with a transtheoretical model (TTM) for overweight and obese subjects. SUBJECTS/METHODS: Fifty overweight and obese subjects aged 19-60 years with a body mass index ${\geq}23kg/m^2$ were enrolled in the weight reduction study. They were randomized into two groups: Intervention group received an IC matched with a TTM; control group received an educational handbook. Body weight (BW), body fat (BF), waist circumference (WC), waist to height ratio (WHtR), stages of change (SOC), processes of change (POC), food intake, and physical activity (PA) were assessed at baseline and at 4, 8, and 12 weeks after program initiation in both groups. All data were analyzed by intention-to-treat, using SPSS software for hypothesis testing. RESULTS: Forty-five female subjects were included in the 12-week trial at Ramkhamhaeng Hospital, Bangkok, Thailand. The results showed significant weight loss ($1.98{\pm}1.75kg$; 3% loss of initial weight) in the intervention group at 12 weeks, compared to a $0.17{\pm}1.67kg$ loss in the control group. There were significant differences between intervention and control groups in BF mass ($-1.68{\pm}1.78$, $-0.04{\pm}1.62kg$); percentage BF ($-1.54{\pm}2.11$, $0.08{\pm}2.05$); WC ($-5.35{\pm}3.84$, $0.13{\pm}3.23cm$); WHtR ($-0.0336{\pm}0.02$, $-0.0004{\pm}0.02$), and energy consumption ($-405.09{\pm}431.31$, $-74.92{\pm}499.54kcal/day$) in the intervention and control groups, respectively. Intragroup SOC was improved in both groups. The POC for the weight management action (WMA) process was significantly different with POC scores increasing by $16.00{\pm}11.73$ and $7.74{\pm}14.97$ in the intervention and the control groups, respectively. PA level did not change in either group. CONCLUSIONS: The IC matched with a TTM resulted in reductions in BW, BF, and WC, thus reducing likely health risks by decreasing energy intake and inducing positive behavior changes while enhancing the WMA process.

아동의 기호식품섭취와 어린이기호식품정책과의 관련성 분석 (Relationship between the Intake of Children's Favorite Foods and Policy based on Special Act on Safety Control of Children's Dietary Life)

  • Objectives: This study examined the status of children's favorite foods intake and the relationship with the policy environment based on the Special Act on Safety Control of Children's Dietary Life for suggesting a supportive policy strategy. Methods: The subjects were 4th grade students (n=1,638) in elementary school from 45 schools collected from seven areas (Seoul, Daegu, Daejeon, Gyeonggi, Chungnam, Jeonbuk, and Gyeongnam). The children participated in a self-administered questionnaire survey in class under the supervision of the teacher. The questionnaire consisted of items, such as social demographic characteristics, frequency of intake of the children's favorite foods, and policy cognition. A t-test and ANOVA were applied to explore the relationship between the frequency of children's favorite foods intake and policy cognition. The survey was implemented from August 2016 to September 2016. Results: For the boys, the frequency of 'high-calorie low nutrient foods intake' (HCLN) was significantly higher than that of the girls (p<0.01). For the children who received information on their favorite foods from the internet, the frequency of HCLN was higher than the other sources (p<0.01). The time of TV viewing and computer usage, and smartphone usage was associated with a higher frequency of HCLN, and a lower healthy favorite food intake (all p<0.001). The intake frequency of healthy favorite foods indicated a positive correlation with the policy cognition, including policy perception, usefulness, necessity and buying intention, and educational experience. Conclusions: This study showed a correlation with the frequency of children's favorite foods intake and policy. In particular, the frequency of children's healthy favorite foods intake indicated a meaningful relationship with the policy than the frequency of HCLN. This study also found that the consumption of children's healthy favorite foods was positively correlated with the educational experience. To develop a supportive policy for a good dietary environment for children, there is a need to focus on how to collaborate with multiple levels of influences, such as the national level, school level, and family.

A Survey on the Perception of Companion Plants for Eco-Friendly Urban Agriculture among Urban Residents

  • Background and objective: This study was conducted as part of research to promote garden diversity and seek sustainable garden management plans, as well as to determine the trends in understanding and use of companion plants as an eco-friendly farming method and provide the results as the basic data for sustainable urban agriculture. Methods: To determine the trends in garden activities, eco-friendly pest control, and use of companion plants, a survey was conducted on 230 urban residents participating in the Urban Agriculture Expert course. 223 copies of the questionnaire were collected excluding missing values, and IBM SPSS statistics Ver. 25 Program was used for frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, and regression analysis. Results: Most of the respondents were female (71.3%), homemakers (26.5%), were in their 50s (29.1%), and had 2 members in the family (27.8%). 164 respondents (73.5%) had experience in gardening, most of them once a week (31.7%) and for self-consumption (55.5%). Both men and women raised crops for safe food production (32.3%), and they most preferred the city garden type (39.9%). For the preparation of nourishment for eco-friendly garden management, most respondents (60.1%) purchased fertilizers from the market. For the reason why eco-friendly pest control is necessary, all respondents except 4 of them (98.2%) responded that it is necessary 'because it affects my health as I eat it (73.5%)', indicating that they still had a high level of interest in health. Only 43.9% of the respondents said that they had heard of companion plants, 89.2% responded that companion plants were effective in eco-friendly management, and 87.4% showed the will to participate in gardening using companion plants in the future. Finally, the regression analysis confirmed that the awareness of companion plants and satisfaction with gardening activities are key variables that increase the intention to participate in gardening activities in the future. Conclusion: Since plants require special care depending on the period and various diseases and insect pests occur, there must be continuous research on companion plants as an eco-friendly farming method. Moreover, by actively using companion plants in urban gardens with the utility value in not only eco-friendly pest control but also in helping plant growth, urban agriculture is expected to be continuously activated and promoted by increasing satisfaction in gardening activities with aesthetic landscaping and pest control.

딥러닝 알고리즘을 이용한 인쇄된 별색 잉크의 색상 예측 연구 (A Study on A Deep Learning Algorithm to Predict Printed Spot Colors)

  • The color image of the brand comes first and is an important visual element that leads consumers to the consumption of the product. To express more effectively what the brand wants to convey through design, the printing market is striving to print accurate colors that match the intention. In 'offset printing' mainly used in printing, colors are often printed in CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Key) colors. However, it is possible to print more accurate colors by making ink of the desired color instead of dotting CMYK colors. The resulting ink is called 'spot color' ink. Spot color ink is manufactured by repeating the process of mixing the existing inks. In this repetition of trial and error, the manufacturing cost of ink increases, resulting in economic loss, and environmental pollution is caused by wasted inks. In this study, a deep learning algorithm to predict printed spot colors was designed to solve this problem. The algorithm uses a single DNN (Deep Neural Network) model to predict printed spot colors based on the information of the paper and the proportions of inks to mix. More than 8,000 spot color ink data were used for learning, and all color was quantified by dividing the visible light wavelength range into 31 sections and the reflectance for each section. The proposed algorithm predicted more than 80% of spot color inks as very similar colors. The average value of the calculated difference between the actual color and the predicted color through 'Delta E' provided by CIE is 5.29. It is known that when Delta E is less than 10, it is difficult to distinguish the difference in printed color with the naked eye. The algorithm of this study has a more accurate prediction ability than previous studies, and it can be added flexibly even when new inks are added. This can be usefully used in real industrial sites, and it will reduce the attempts of the operator by checking the color of ink in a virtual environment. This will reduce the manufacturing cost of spot color inks and lead to improved working conditions for workers. In addition, it is expected to contribute to solving the environmental pollution problem by reducing unnecessarily wasted ink.

단체급식 식단의 쌀빵 이용 현황 및 영양사의 인식 분석 (Current Status and Dietitians' Perception of Rice Bread in the Noncommercial Foodservice Menu)

  • The purpose of this study was to survey the current status of bread menus at school, business and industry (B & I), and military foodservice operations and to analyze dietitians' perceptions of applying rice bread in foodservice menus. A questionnaire, which was developed by content analysis, situation analysis, and in-depth interview, was distributed to 183 schools, 31 B & I operations, and 26 air force dietitians. In the school and B & I foodservices, wheat bread was used much more than rice bread and serving frequencies of morning rolls and sliced bread were higher. The military foodservices, however, served much more rice bread as burger buns than the other groups. For the school and B&I operations, consumer preference for wheat bread was perceived as high. In contrast, soldiers preferred rice bread to wheat bread in the military foodservices. The recognized advantages of using rice bread were different among the three groups. The military dietitians perceived the main advantage of using rice bread as an increase of rice consumption, while the school and B & I dietitians viewed it as promoting a healthy image. In all groups, the primary difficulties for using rice bread were the higher cost of rice bread as compared to wheat bread and a lack of facilities (e.g. oven). The military dietitians had the highest levels of positive and active interest as well as intention and opinions toward using rice bread. On the other hand, the school and B & I dietitians had very positive perceptions of rice bread but did not actually apply it in their foodservice menus. Overall, the results of this study suggest that the development of diverse menus using rice bread along with government support of its use, including facilities with ovens as well as rice bread subsidies, should be carried out for on-going expansion of the rice bread supply.

국내 가구기반 통신서비스의 고객접점에 관한 연구: PLC단계별 접점경험과 서비스품질의 상대적 영향 (A Study on the MOT of Household Telecommunication Services: The Effects of MOT Experience and Service Quality on Product Evaluations across Different Phases of the Product Life Cycle)

  • 통신서비스 시장의 경쟁이 날로 심화되고 기술속성이 표준화되면서 접점에서의 차별적 활동과 경험이 고객가치 창출을 위한 중요한 수단으로 인식되고 있지만, 정작 고객접점의 활동이 소비체인에 따라 어떤 식으로 구성되어 있고 어떤 영향력을 행사하는지, 접점의 서비스 품질이 고객성과에 미치는 상대적 영향력을 규명한 연구는 미흡하였다. 특히 현재 가구기반 통신서비스시장은 PLC단계별로 다양한 서비스들이 포진해 있는 바, 서비스가 도입-성장기에 있는지 이미 성숙-쇠퇴기에 들어섰는지에 따라 접점에서 요구되는 소비자들의 서비스 니즈가 달라질 수 있음에도 이를 실증한 연구는 전무한 상황이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 도입-성장기에 있는 가구기반 통신서비스로 VoIP와 IPTV, 성숙쇠퇴기에 있는 가구기반 통신서비스로 유선초고속 인터넷과 유선전화를 선정하여 각 서비스별로 MOT접점에서 고객들이 어떤 경험을 하고 있고 무엇을 중시하고 있는지 영향력을 확인한 후 접점의 서비스 품질이 고객성과에 미치는 효과가 통신서비스의 PLC 단계에 따라 어떻게 달라지는지 그 상대적인 영향력을 살펴보았다. 858명의 응답자를 대상으로 실증한 결과 접점에서 소비자들의 경험과 요구사항은 상이하게 나타났으며 서비스품질과 관련해서는 도입-성장기에 있는 서비스들은 유형성과 확신성이, 성숙-쇠퇴기에 있는 서비스들은 신뢰성과 공감성, 상호관계성이 고객성과(고객만족, 재구매의향, 구전의향)에 긍정적인 역할을 함이 제시되었다. 끝으로 이러한 결과에 대한 시사점과 향후 연구방향을 제시하였다.

게임이용장애 질병분류가 게임이용자의 태도와 게임의향에 미치는 효과 (Potential Effects of Gaming Disorder Classification on Gamers' Attitude and Gaming Intention)

  • 본 연구는 최근 세계보건기구(WHO)가 공식 질병으로 인정한 게임이용장애 분류기준이 국내에 도입되었을 때 어떠한 효과가 나타날 것인지 알아보기 위해 일반 성인 503명을 대상으로 설문조사를 시행하였다. 응답자의 사전지식 수준차를 고려하여 절반의 응답자를 게임이용장애 분류에 관한 정보성 기사를 제공하는 집단에 무선할당하였다. 또 국내 게임중독 선행연구를 종합적으로 검토하여 연구목적에 맞게 응답자를 정상이용집단과 잠재적 문제이용집단으로 분류하여 분석을 시행하였다. 그 결과, 게임이용장애 분류코드 등록은 정상집단과 잠재적 문제집단 모두에서 게임시간 24%, 게임비 28%, 이용 게임수 22%가 감소하는 등 전반적인 게임 수요를 감소시키는 영향을 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 잠재적 문제이용집단의 경우 게임이용장애 공식화 후 게임비용이 증가하더라도 게임비를 기꺼이 더 지불하겠다는 의향이 정상집단에 비해 높은 것으로 나타났고, 스트레스 수준이 높은 집단도 추가 비용 지불 의향이 높았는데, 이는 게임중독 문제 해결을 위한 정책의 효과가 미쳐야 하는 대상 집단에 오히려 경제적 비용 증가가 발생하는 역설적 영향이 발생할 수 있음을 시사한다. 따라서 게임장애 관련 정책을 수립할 때 이러한 문제집단, 특히 '스트레스 수준이 높은 집단', '자기통제력이 부족한 집단' 즉 중독성향이 높은 집단을 선별하여 정책의 타겟 집단으로 해야 질병코드 등록 정책효과가 나타날 수 있을 것으로 보인다. 또 게임장애에 관한 정보성 기사의 긍정적 효과는 이미 자기통제력 수준이 높은 게임이용자들에게만 집중적으로 나타나 정작 향후 정책의 영향을 받게 될 대상(잠재적 문제집단 중 중독성향이 강한 집단)의 태도와 행동 의도에는 별다른 영향력이 없는 것으로 확인되었다. 다시 한번 정책의 대상을 세분화하여 문제집단의 특성별로 정책을 정교화하는 핀셋 정책의 필요성을 확인하였다. 국내 여건에 관한 고려 없이 게임이용장애 분류를 도입할 경우 국내 게임이용자, 게임산업 및 유관 기업들에 부정적 영향과 손실을 끼칠 수 있으므로 산.관.학 협력을 통해 선제적 대응책을 마련해야 할것이라 판단된다.
