  • As mobile shopping has been increasing, the competition has been also increasing to satisfy various consumers' needs. Despite such increase in terms of the volume of the consumers who use mobile shopping, there has been very few studies to examine characteristics of mobile shopping malls. The purpose of this empirical study is to investigate the effect of characteristics of mobile shopping malls on consumer loyalty and the interaction effect of the O2O experience on the relationship between the characteristics of mobile shopping malls and consumer loyalty. Using a sample of 276 individuals who have experienced mobile shopping, we found that certain characteristics such as ubiquity, personalization, or convenience have a positive impact on consumer loyalty and a design characteristic solely has an interaction effect on consumer loyalty. As consumer loyalty has a critical factor on mobile shopping mall's profit, examining which factor has a positive effect on consumer loyalty is beneficial for mobile shopping malls. The results of the study have both practical and empirical implications.

Data were collected from adults over 20 years old who had bought clothes within one year. The questionnaire was carried out from July, 2019 using a professional internet research panel; in addition, 500 sets of useful data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, factor analysis, reliability analysis, chi-squared test, ANOVA and Duncan-test using SPSS 21.0. The findings showed significant differences among the classified consumer groups for consumer demographics, shopping orientation, perceived risk, and purchase after satisfaction. The results imply that consumers show a variety of channel transition behaviors based on demographic variables, shopping orientation, and perceived risk. • Objectives: This study was aimed to identify the expressions used by consumers to talk and by mediator to provide information about hypertension in the internet and suggest more understandable vocabulary for consumers. Methods: A researcher collected archival postings associated 78 hypertension-related vocabularies from internet websites for extracting consumer and mediator vocabulary respectively. Then, the consumer and mediator vocabularies with the same meaning as 78 vocabularies were extracted from postings collected by two non-professional extractors and a researcher, respectively. Both consumer and mediator vocabularies manually mapped to the 78 hypertension-related representing vocabularies. Finally, the survey was conducted from 110 inpatients and 115 nurses from December 27 to 31, 2013 for the selection of recommended vocabulary related to hypertension. Data were analyzed using the SPSS program and included descriptive statistics. Based on the survey results, the recommended vocabularies were selected for laypersons. Results: 67 consumer and 73 mediator vocabularies were linked with the 78 vocabularies. Two vocabularies unmapped to both consumer and mediator vocabularies were 'wheeze' and 'angioplasty'. 49 recommended vocabularies related to hypertension were selected for helping laypersons understand hypertension information. Conclusions: The consumer-oriented vocabularies may be helpful to overcome the vocabulary problem between non-professionals and professionals.

This empirical study aimed to examine the importance of consumer innovativeness and digital literacy in the adoption and expansion of new technology-based media services, focusing on OTT services. Extending the theory of adoption of new technologies by innovators to new media environment centered on OTT services, it examines the influence of the four dimensions of motivated consumer innovativeness on OTT service usage. The Korea Media Panel Data of 2019, where overall ICT usage and media consumption of a broad panel of respondents was collected, was used for the analysis. From the data of 10,864 respondents, 4,031 (37.1%) were found to have experience in using OTT services. To clarify the mediating effect of digital literacy on the correlations between cognitive innovativeness of consumers and their use of OTT services, Process Macro Model 4 was used. The bootstrap method was applied to reveal that all four dimensions of consumer innovativeness have a significant indirect effect on new media usage through digital literacy, thus indicating how digital literacy plays an important role in the spread of new digital services in addition to consumer innovativeness. The findings are important in that they can help in the efforts to introduce new technologies to the public and educate them to improve their digital literacy so that they can enjoy the complete experience of using these new digital products.
