  • The current study examines how ethnocentrism influences the relationship between country image, product image, quality, and purchase intention for foreign goods. It is necessary to explore and analyze the connection between consumer ethnocentrism and purchase intention to develop marketing strategies that influence consumers' purchasing decisions. Accordingly, this article develops the research model to determine the impact of specific product determinants on consumer purchase intention towards foreign products. An online survey was carried out to reach the research objective. Four hundred effective questionnaires were analyzed using SPSS 23 and Smart PLS 3.3. The results showed that foreign product quality and image have a significant positive impact on consumers' intentions to buy foreign goods. Furthermore, consumer ethnocentrism significantly moderates product quality and purchase intention relationships. The study's findings could help marketers develop effective marketing techniques while also being helpful to academics and consumers in general.

  • This study aims to analyze the changes in purchasing decisions in conducting transactions using cash and digital payment systems. Cash payment systems are very different from digital payments because they no longer use banks as intermediaries for transactions. The scope of this study is to determine the differences that take place with purchasing decisions using digital payment systems with OVO Indonesia smart applications. By using the paired T-test sample test method and testing the regression class assumptions, it is expected we will document the comparison between cash and digital payment systems as regards changes in consumers' buying interest behavior towards goods. Data is obtained by purposive sampling using special characteristics for smart application users. The results show that digital payments are developing very quickly, but cash payments still dominate due to the unavailability of complete facilities and infrastructure to support digital payment systems other than in cities. This study illustrates that digital payments have not been able to completely change consumer buying behavior in large numbers, but the main finding in this study is an increase in the percentage of digital payment usage to the online market, due to the many conveniences provided in OVO smart applications.

  • Purpose - Pricing strategy is a very effective marketing activity and has a significant impact on consumer purchasing decisions. Numerous studies have investigated the effects of various pricing strategies. However, tensile price claims have received little attention in the literature. It is thus necessary to investigate how different forms of tensile price claims affect consumer response. This study uses the consumer self-confidence level as a moderator of consumer behavior. Research Research design, data, and methodology - This study investigates the effect of four different tensile price claims (i.e., maximum discount, minimum discount, average discount, and range discount advertisements) on consumers' perceived savings. A survey was conducted to collect data for testing hypotheses. Results - The results show that consumers with high levels of self-confidence perceive more savings for maximum discount advertisements than minimum discount advertisements, for range discount advertisements than average discount advertisements. On the other hand, consumers with low self-confidence feel more perceived savings for average discount advertisements than range discount advertisement. Conclusions - The results of this study provide a new insight into the effectiveness of tensile pricing based on consumer self-confidence levels, which may provide valuable theoretical and practical applications.

  • The online shopping environment has radically changed consumer shopping behavior. Without the actual physical shopping experience in a brick-and-mortar store, consumers make purchasing decisions over the Internet. They make an effort to obtain product information not only from online merchants, but also from previous purchasers in order to make an informed decision. Accordingly, customer comments are expected to have a significant impact on decisions to purchase goods and services online. This paper focuses on one type of electronic word-of-mouth, the online consumer review. It derives several motivations why customers post product reviews on shopping mall sites. Customer motives were identified through an in depth one-on-one interview with twenty female respondents conducted twice from June $17^{th}$ to September $11^{th}$, 2009. The interviews lasted between 40 and 60 minutes. The results showed that consumers write product reviews based on six motivations: to receive a reward or remuneration for writing a product review, to share information with other customers, to improve the quality of goods and services, to reduce customer dissatisfaction, to recommend products and services, and to derive pleasure.

  • Despite the benefits of online shopping, we easily observe consumer behaviour when making purchases through offline channels. Why do they choose to go offline by taking the effort to go there? As a factor influencing decision-making, this study assumes that distrust of online shopping increases webrooming intentions that online consumers move to offline channels. Consumers check online reviews as well as seller information to increase their purchasing confidence. There are few studies on the effect of negative online reviews on consumers' purchasing decisions. Contrary to the pessimistic results of previous studies, the results of this study explain the mechanism by which consumers who saw negative online reviews feel distrust of online shopping and go to offline stores. It provides implications for understanding the migration phenomenon of online shoppers to offline channels and what strategies should be prepared to retain and attract customers to each channel.

  • Purpose - Since the local liquor industry uses the agricultural products produced in the region as the main raw material, cultivation of the industry can be a way to expand the demand for domestic agricultural products and can contribute to the income increase of the farmers. In addition, the local liquor industry can be developed into a region-specific industry differentiated from other regions by linking with the region's tourism resources. Therefore, in order to achieve various derivative effects through promotion of the local liquor industry, it is necessary to precisely understand the factors related to the purchase and consumption of local liquor which then will lead to an increase in consumption. This study analyzes the current status and problems of local liquor industries and examines the determinants of consumers' purchasing decisions of regional specialties through questionnaires. We will then propose a strategy to promote consumption of locally produced alcoholic beverages. Research design, data, and methodology - An online Domestic Consumer Survey was conducted to identify the actual purchases and uses of local liquors for 500 consumers nationwide. Based on the questionnaire results, the analysis uses an ordered probit model. Results - As a result of analyzing the effect of consumer characteristics on the purchase of local liquors, it was found that the average cost of drinking, income, local specialty, brewery experience, and health concerns have a significant effect on gender, drinking frequency. All the variables except the participation in the training of the special provincial manufacturing method were found to be statistically significant. The statistical significance was at a 1% significance level for the remaining factors excluding the bottle design. This shows that the higher taste, quality, price, and harmony with food, the higher the probability of purchasing local liquors. Conclusions - In the analysis of factors influencing the purchase intention of local liquors, it was found that factors such as taste, quality, price, and harmony with food had a significant effect. Given the diversity of purchasing factors, the importance of diversification strategies is emphasized again.

Specifically, lifestyle groups were examined to see if there is any group difference(s) in consumer behavior for Korean cosmetics. Lifestyle groups were examined based on: consumers' demographic characteristics, perceived brand attributes, loyalty toward Korean cosmetics, usage of Korean cosmetics products, preferred stores of shopping for Korean cosmetics, and use of information sources in purchase decisions. An online survey was administered to female consumers who live in Beijing and Shanghai. A total of 493 surveys were used for data analyses. The results of the study were as follows: First, factor analysis revealed 11 significant lifestyle dimensions. Second, using these 11 lifestyle dimensions, cluster analysis was conducted, which revealed four distinct groups of consumers: (1) "timid inactive group," characterized by having low scores in most lifestyle dimensions; (2) "showcase goers," who tend to be highly fashion/appearance-conscious and brand-oriented; (3) "practical buyers," who tend to be price-conscious, sensitive and timid; and (4) "sensible buyers," who enjoy finer meals and wellbeing lifestyles, as well as hardworking in everything and impulse-buy things. Third, consumer behavior of purchasing Korean cosmetics brands were examined; significant differences among the four lifestyle groups were found. The study concludes with a discussion of the results and practical implications.
