Objectives : It focuses on what the consumers expected Korean medicine to improve on, and analyzes patients' impressions. Methods : This research is based on the Ministry of Health and Welfare's Survey on Usage of Korean Medicine (2008, 2011, and 2014) and was new analysis for our research objective. Results : The general consensus among the consumers was uncertainty of effectiveness, expensive costs, side effects, need for expertise, lack of scientific evidence, expansion of diseases treated, and improvement of equipment. Consumers distrusted Korean medicine due to its uncertainty of its effectiveness, expensive costs, side effects, and lack of scientific evidence for its effectiveness, and avoided using Korean medicine. Conclusions : These results seem to be a combination of the Korean medicinal doctors treating patients not based on evidence but on their individual experiences, lack of health insurance for Korean medicine resulting in expensive costs, lack of research on toxicity and safety of Korean medicine, and lack of scientific and clinical studies for evidence-based research. To solve these problems, the Korean medicine community needs to standardize treatments based on evidence, and look to Chinese medicine for possible solutions.

Consumer health information is receiving more attention than ever before. This growing attention can be linked to the Internet and to people seeking more information on health topics. The purpose of this study is to suggest a design of the Knowledge management system for medical information services in a public library. As theoretical backgrounds, it discusses the issues regarding to the medical information services in a public library, knowledge management and knowledge management system. After that, 12 medical information sites are analyzed then the planning and the main menu of a medical information site for a public library are described. Finally, the model of the knowledge management system for a public library with 5 sub-systems are suggested: 1) knowledge creation system, 2) technology support system, 3) training system, 4) community service system, 5) knowledge sharing and network system. This system based on knowledge management will help provide the users high quality of medical information.
This research is designed for a consumer, not a supplier when it was designed. And the purpose is to present the reference data which is in order to improve the curriculum by analyzing the present subject of the curriculum. The research collected the curriculum for Dental Technology from a total of 20 schools --3-year colleges and 4-year colleges-- all in Korea. And we analyzed the average credits of subjects from students. As a result of this analysis, we get the conclusion below: 1. In a distribution which students answered about each subjects; Dental esthetic, Dental morphology I II, Dental morphology practice I II, and Seminar don't have many credits and mostly have a converged tendency in high points, according to the arithmetic mean of the major basis subjects. 2. In an analysis of the correlation which is based on the distinction of sex; Dental ceramics practice III, Medical terminology, Seminar, and The major basis subjects have a meaningful difference. (${\rho}$ < 0.05) 3. In an analysis of the correlation which is based on an age; The major basis subjects, and the application subjects have meaningful difference. (${\rho}$ < 0.05) 4. In a correlation coefficient between subjects; The correlation coefficient of the major application subjects is higher than the major basis subjects. According to the student ? t, we found that the level of significance is ${\rho}$ < 0.001, which is meaningful. We feel that Department of Dental Technology also highly need to design, and conduct focusing on a consumer who is working at the society, not a supplier. And we need to increase or decrease credits which have a meaningful difference.

Health care marketing can be defined as a process of developing, promoting and administering health care services for the benefits of hospitals as well as consumers. Researchers have reported that one of the significant attributes in the selection of hospital is a client's perceived image of the hospitals. Especially the image of nursing services was one of the important factors of the hospital image. The main purposes of the study were 1) to define the positioning about 5 hospitals' image of nursing services. 2) to define the effects of image attributes to the iamage of hospital nursing services. Eighteen hundred questionnaires were distributed to the parents of middle schools and high schools in Seoul. Among them, 1340 cases were returned but 849 cases were turned out to be useful data and used in final analysis. In data analysis, $SPSS\;/PC^+$ and PC-MDS programs were used for descriptive statistics, multiple regression, and drawing perceptual maps. The image of hospital nursing services was measured developed by the author through literature review and content validation. Reliability coefficients was found to be statistically appropriate level of confidence(Cronbach's Alpha=.8617). The results were as follows : 3) The perceptual map shows that hospital A, B and C,D,E were divided into five groups(See Fig. 1). That is, hospital A, and B are located in a close position and hopital C & E are located at opposite position between X-axis, Hospital D was located in the middle area of the hospital C and:E. In conclusion, this research visiblely depicted perceptual maps using MDS of the consumer's image about hospital nursing services. Since hopital nursing services were differentiated by the image attributes in consumer's perception, the results of the study can help hospital managers plan marketing strategy according to their strong points or weak points. Because the necessity of marketing in recent health care was importantly recognized, this research which is adopting posititioning concept will contribute to the consumers and hospital organizations.
This study is basic material for development of a smart girdle. Through the intentionally sampling of 313 consumers from teenagers to the forties who have experienced wearing girdles, lifestyles on consumer's age, attitude to health, favor of warm functional girdle, and possibility to acceptance were surveyed and analyzed by questionnaire. The result of the study are summarized as followed. 1. Analysis about lifestyle with warmth and attitude to health showed that subjects in their thirties and forties have higher than teenagers and the twenties in frequency of distribution. This means people are tend to have more attention to warmth and health as they grow older. 2. In result about analysis of characteristic of wearing girdle, subjects were prefer girdle made of cotton which have superior permeability and hygroscopic property. The reason that wearing girdle is to complement of weak points of body somatotype in the thirties and forties and feel the stability during menstrual period in the twenties and teenagers. The time zone of putting on girdle is mainly winter while one is out wearing one-piece or skirt. 3. When surveyed about the preference to functional warmth girdle and possibility to acceptance, the results were that the subjects in their thirties were first, forty something was second, followed by subjects in their twenties, teenagers. It was shown that over 60% subjects were highly distributed. With regard to necessity of functional warmth girdle, every age groups were shown over 3.6 at average. This result was inferred that subjects had positive possibility to acceptance about functional warmth smart girdle.
This study was planned to investigate the difference in the choice of services between western and oriental medicine. Data were collected from 493 outpatients who visited the D hospital by structured questionnare. The results were as follows; The older aged groups, there were the more oriental medicine visitors, significantly Oriental medicine visitor had more experience to use the complementary food than western medicine visitor. In comparison of reason for service choice, the proportion of oriental medicine visitors was higher than western medicine visitor in considering of specialty of institution. In contrast, western medicine visitor had interest to 'newly-developed facility and equipment' and 'convenience and accessibility of service' as factor of service choice. In analysis of evaluation the service experiences, oriental medicine visitors evaluated the oriental medicine highly in 'therapeutic efficacy' and ' less side effect'. But western medicine visitor evaluated the western medicine highly in 'quick effect of therapy' and ' scientific apprach'. We concluded from result that there were difference in service choice behavior between western and oriental medicine visitor. We hope that these information will be applied to planning of consumer-oriented marketing strategy of hospital.
Several common issues are encountered by countries - Germany, Japan, and the United States - that adopted long-term care (LTC) system. First, the demand for LTC and its associated costs have steeply risen following the implementation of the LTC policy. Second, ensuring the quality of services have been difficult. Third, the coordination of services among providers and between LTC and medical care has been inadequate. Learning from their experience, we suggest ways to improve the LTC system in Korea. The basic approach aims for efficiency over equity in the system. This would require promoting provider competition and consumer choice. We propose several policy options according to the major stakeholders. For consumers, cash benefits at fixed rates and personal savings accounts are feasible options to self-contain the demand and cost of services. On the insurer's side, creating an environment of multiple insurers will engender competition, leading to cost savings and quality care. For providers, delivery of quality services through competition, cost-containment through capitated reimbursements, and coordination of services through integrated delivery system can be achieved. From the assessors' perspective, establishing an information system to monitor the activities of insurers and providers would be important, empowering consumers with information to choose cost-effective service providers. In summary, the suggested approach would provide cost-effective LTC services by guaranteeing consumer choice and promoting major stakeholder accountability. Further studies are needed to test the feasibility of this model in ensuring quality LTC in Korea.

The purpose of this study is to find out the better washing condition, especially on detergent contents to satisfy the consumer's concern on fabric hand using Drum Type Washer. The hand and preference of washed fabrics by various detergent contents were analyzed through subjective evaluation using questionnaire method in dry and wet state. Wine rank's semantic differential scale questions were developed with 27 kinds of adjective pairs and seven rank's scale questions were to evaluate preference of washed fabrics oil holistic touch, washing and rinsing effect and purchase intention of detergent. Group of trained panelists and untrained women panelists of $30{\sim}40$ years old were participated. The factors affecting consumer's taste for the washed fabrics were analyzed by SPSS 12.0. Smoothness showed relatively higher correlation with preference of washed fabrics on holistic touch, washing and rinsing effect and purchase intention of detergent. There were significant differences in preference of washed fabrics on holistic touch, washing and rinsing effect and purchase intention of detergent by detergent contents when tested in wet state. Fabrics washed with detergents of non-zeolite were appeared to be the preferred ones.
This study aims to understand main contents of the National Mental Health Strategy and changes after mental health reform through the National Mental Health Strategy in Australia, and to find some convergence policy implications on mental health policy in South Korea. The direction of reform has changed considerably over the 20 years that the National Mental Health Strategy has been in place including the National Mental Health Policy(1992, 2008), the National Mental Health Plan(1993~2014), COAG National Action Plan on Mental Health(2006~2011), the Roadmap for National Mental Health Reform 2012-2022. The National Mental Health Strategy has advocated fundamental change in the national spending on mental health, mental health service provision, the expansion of community-based mental health services and care system, NGO, consumer and carer participation in mental health care.
Health behaviors determine people's health status and the Quality of their life. Health education is the most effective method to change people's health behaviors in modem life. Therefore health education for adolescents is essencial to form desirable health behaviors and improve the Quality of their life. This study was administered to analyze important needs for the health education among Chinese, Korean -Chinese adolescents in Gilin, China and Korean adolescents in Seoul. Korea. The data were collected from 387 chinese and 74 Korean-Chinese boys and girls of 3 high schools in Gilin, China and 359 boys and girls of 3 high schools in Seoul, Korea. The results were as follow: 1. Forty percent of Korean students were sick during the past 4 weeks, but only 10.8% of Korean-Chinese students and 9% of Chinese students were sick. More than 70% of Chinese and Korean-Chinese students had health concern, but only 26.6% of Korean students were interested in health. 2. Korean-Chinese and Chinese students had higher health education needs than the Korean. They were not interested in sex education. On the other hand, Korean students were interested in mental health and not interested in consumer health education. 3. Korean-Chinese students had more health education needs than Chinese or Korean adolescents and the difference was statistically significant (p〈0.05). 4. In Korean-Chinese students, family income and academic grades were significantly related to their health education needs (p〈0.05). Among Chinese students, recent illness was related to their health education needs. In Korean students, the better health status and the more family income. the higher health education needs.
