Even though the significance of collecting and analyzing information, merchandising, and retail distribution is recognized, these functions are not firmly rooted or prevalent in our industry. In contrast, Italy which possesses similar demographic traits such as the lack of natural resources and other physical factors has succeed-ed in globalizing its fashion market by responding swiftly and exercising flexiblity to its constantly changing consumer demand. This in turn has earned Italy the competitive edge in the global fashion arena. Italy's unique management skills and operation know-how, along with successful market strategies come into play in bringing competitiveness to Italy's fashion market. Firstly, smaller companies with ability to adopt swiftly to the ever changing market. Secondly, fashion friendly social environment. Thirdly, niche marketing through highly specialized system and differentiation. Fourthly, timeless innovation through intense corporate competition. Lastly, establishment of foundations to support the industry through diverse networking. The alone building blocks have formed a basis for erecting an unparalleled market with a reputation for excellence in design and quality in the global fashion world. This study has examined how Italy's fashion industry has evolved from an underdeveloped textile business into a cutting edge fashion in-dustry. Italy's unique business processes and practices were studied to come up with a collection and merchandising ideas in a niche market. By selecting this venue we are able to continuously grow and develop in a market with diverse consumer needs. To analyze the Italian fashion market, data from 3 institutions were utilized, namely, CIT-ER which has provided consumer trends and sales analysis, SITA,a data service provided statistics from the textile and apparel businesses, and NBI has also furnished valuable data. Italian consumer preference, buying behavior, consumer profile, retail channels and other related data from the above institutions has formed a backbone for market segmentation and target markets, and as a result, we were able to zero in on the type of consumer, produce, pricing and retail channels for our womenswear. Going forward the direction is to elevate product image and pretige, and create syn-ergy between related industries, and at the same note, in order to develop internationally recognized brands such as Max Mara and Benetton. Certain elements such as the specialization of the fashion industry, alon-g with fashion-related data base and systems support, and most importantly experts with acute fashion sense and capacity to analyze pertinent data are in need. I firmly believe that we can achieve Italy's level in the fashion market with support from the government and unrelenting effort within the industry itself, and hope that this report can prove to be useful.
Small luxury purchase as self-gifting is one of the latest consumer trends in self-gifting. Although this consumption trend continues to grow in various fields, little research has been conducted on related consumer behavior. As such, this study was conducted to empirically investigate the current consumer behavior involved in purchase of small luxury self-gifts. The objectives of this study are to determine the current status of self-gifts markets, identify motives and orientations of self-gifting, and investigate the effects of the motives on self-gifts orientations. A total of 199 respondents were used in data analyses. Regarding motives for self-gifting, four motives - self-comfort, self-reward, anxiety, and showing off - were identified; regarding self-gifting orientations, five factors - rationalization (emotional comfort, product attributes, self-defense, and conformity) and the luxury being within one's spending limit - were identified. The study determined the effects of the motives on the orientations, and the effects of the motives and the orientations on post-purchase consumer reaction. This study conducted an empirical investigation on small luxury self-gifting and moreover, the study determined the motives, orientations, and consequences of self-gifting, which have not yet been explained in the literature.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of consumer knowledge and involvement of apparel products on information processing style. The subjects of this study were female adults who lived in Seoul, Kyunggi or Incheon areas and Quota sampling using age and residential areas was employed. The data were obtained from 603 questionnaires. Data were statistically analyzed using SPSS 10 and LISREL 7.0. Major statistical methods were factor analysis, Cronbach's a coefficient, multiple regression analysis, and structural equation model analysis. The results were as follows: 1. Consumer knowledge significantly influenced information processing styles. Rational processing style was significantly influenced by objective knowledge, while experiential processing style was significantly influenced by subjective knowledge. 2. Involvement was related to the subjective knowledge more than objective knowledge. Consumers who had higher interest, social importance and followed latest fashion trends tended to process information more experientially.
Quality of life today is being enhanced through technology and economic activities, but time for leisure has continued to shrink. In this modern society, a phenomenon is appearing in which people are trying to return to their pure and childlike worlds to relieve themselves from the pressures of stress, anxiety, and feelings of crisis in their repetitive and boring daily lives. Along with the struggle for existence that they feel, this shows how modern people hold on to nostalgic elements experienced in their childhood, and have a tendency to want to express those experiences through consumer activities. As positive opinions stating that such consumer activities not only relieve stress, but also help psychological stability are emerging, consumer trends for the development of fashion products which reflect 'Kidult' emotions are becoming increasingly popular. Not only that, with interior products, the need for the development of differentiated designs which are focused on consumers and which reflect consumer demands is being magnified as they are very important as living designs within the consumption environments of modern people. As such, the goal of this study is to develop textile pattern designs for kidult interior products for adults.
Recently, as people are interested in the quality of life and well-being trend, the consumer's demand on a healthy residence is rapidly increasing. To offer heathy residential environment to consumers, it is necessary to investigate the quality of design regardings health. The purposes of this study are to arrange the elements of interior design for the healthy apartment and to present the essential points of design to make a proposal for the newly built healthy apartment. It is believed that the accumulated data will be the basic information to develop more healthy apartment in the future. Questionnaire was delivered and analyzed. Also, checklist were checked by visiting model house. Through the comparison and analysis between consumer's demand and the condition of the model house, this research suggests what the healthy apartment should be replenish. The result of this study are as following. In spite of the demand of improvement on sanitation, health diagnosis program, thermal comfort, sound comfort were high but the evaluation of the present apartments shows not that high. Consumer's demands like above are reflected on latest apartments but those are not reached enough to the consumer's demand.
Food consumption trends in Korea are becoming more health-oriented, and consumers have become interested in high-quality foods that are also beneficial to health. The goals of this study are to examine consumers' impressions of black garlic and to investigate the preferred optimal attribute combinations related to black garlic. To do this, a survey of 352 consumers was used to analyze the current status of consumer purchases of black garlic. A conjoint analysis was conducted to analyze certain aspects of consumer preferences, such as price, health functional food certification status, processing type, and taste. Consumers' purchase experiences with black garlic were relatively few, but those with purchase experience reported that they consumed it mainly for their health. The results show that consumers are not satisfied with the taste and flavor of black garlic despite their perceiving it as a beneficial food for health. Despite the fact that consumers' purchase intentions were found to be low, it can greatly increase if improvements in price, flavor, and taste can be realized and if offering substantial benefits. The results of the conjoint analysis of the preference attributes of black garlic products are as follows. Consumers considered price among the four attributes as most important. The taste of black garlic and the processing style were similar in terms of importance, and health functional food certification was less important. Finally, the results suggest that continuous improvements in price and flavor are needed to spread the consumption of black garlic.
This study aims to investigate the impact of character collaboration product characteristics on brand awareness and purchase intention within the food and beverage (F&B) industry, with a special focus on Generation MZ's growing interest in such products. The methodology involves a comprehensive review of existing literature on character marketing, brand awareness, and consumer purchase intention, supplemented by case studies of successful character collaborations in the F&B sector. The findings reveal that character collaborations significantly impact brand awareness and purchase intentions, particularly among younger consumers like Generation MZ. These collaborations not only rekindle nostalgia but also introduce new and exciting consumer experiences, effectively attracting a wide demographic. The success of character-themed products, from Pokémon bread to Coca-Cola's League of Legends collaboration, underscores the strategy's effectiveness in boosting brand recognition and consumer engagement. The implications of this research are manifold for the F&B industry. Firstly, it highlights the importance of leveraging popular characters to forge emotional connections with consumers. Secondly, it suggests that product development should closely align with consumer preferences and market trends to maximize appeal. Lastly, it positions character collaboration as a strategic marketing tool that not only enhances product sales but also strengthens brand loyalty and facilitates sustained brand growth.
The purpose of this study is to find out the consumer's purchasing behavior and its factors when a convenience store brand is marketing new PB products online. For this study, we surveyed 2030 millennials about the purchase behavior of convenience store PB products and the paths to encounter PB products. As a result, consumers who purchase convenience store PB products were exposed to the product through SNS or YouTube, and they tended to join the trend by posting on SNS after purchase. In this study, we want to examine the consumption trends of millennials that have this type of consumption and the concept of online marketing that affects them. It is hoped that future consumer purchases will continue to be valuable consumption rather than relying on trends.

Environmental changes, including intensive international competition, unpredictable consumer demand, and market trends of variety and short product life cycles, have compelled the U. S. textiles and apparel industry to focus increasingly on the consumer as a way to meet these challenges. The industry began expanding into mass customization that used information technology, flexible processes, and organizational structures to deliver a wide range of products and services that met specific needs of individual customers but on a mass scale. This paper presents cases of leading-edge technology application on customization and breakthrough concepts in personalization, with a view to raising the level of debate on these issues to its highest level.
Pork production is a significant agricultural enterprise in the United States and Canada. The United States is the third-largest global producer of pork and Canada ranks seventh in pork production. The North American Free Trade Agreement and its successor, the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement, have facilitated trade and integration between the two countries. The majority of production systems are modern and intensive, characterized by large vertically integrated farms using advanced technologies. Both nations benefit from their status as major producers of feed grains, with the United States leading in corn and soybeans, while Canada excels in canola and barley production. Changing consumer preferences, including a demand for ethically raised and locally sourced pork, may influence production practices. Future trends in pig production include a focus on consumer concerns, sustainability, disease prevention, reduction of antimicrobial use, and advancements in technology. The industry is adapting to challenges such as disease outbreaks and changing regulations, with a strong emphasis on animal welfare. Labor and workforce considerations, along with advancements in technology and automation, are expected to shape the efficiency of pork production in the future.
