As PB market segments into premium market, PBs were drawing attentions in terms of creating profits as well as a means to differentiate building up store identity. The purpose of this study makes a comparative study on the difference of consumer attitude formation process in discount store and home-shopping distribution channel which are recently on the upswing. This paper investigated the consumer's attitude formation on the private apparel brand. Subjects of this study were consumers in their $20s{\sim}40s$ who are main customer groups of PBs. The data were analyzed by Structural Equation Modeling and Multi-Group Analysis of Amos 5.0 to verify the difference of the path between store PB and premium PB. Following are the results of the study. Consumer attitude formation path on PB grades showed statistically noticeable difference. In discount store PB, store evaluation didn't directly influence on consumer attitude formation but showed indirect effect. On the other hand, in home shopping premium PB case, product evaluation directly influenced on consumer attitudes with store evaluation. Hedonic attitude dimension connected with behavioral attitude(purchase intention) revealed difference in path. This study investigated country-of-origin effects by comparatively analyzing consumer attitude toward country-of-origin of imported apparel according to apparel product attributes. Fishbein attitude model was used. The effects of consumer characteristics such as attitude of consumers toward general imported apparel and demorgraphic variables on consumer attitude toward country-of-origin were also identified. Italy, U.S.A, Japan, Hong Kong, Korea were used as country of origin. Data were obtained from male and female subjects(total 570) aged mostly 20's. Statistical analysis showed: 1) Apparel product attributes were classified into 3 factors, expressive, instrumental and brand, which are the order of importance for purchasing. 2) Consumer indicated more favorable attitude toward 'made in 'Italy' nd made in 'Korea' in each attribute factor. 'Made in Korea' roducts were evaluated highest in expressive attribute factor but less favored than 'made in Italy' n brand attribute factor. 'Made in U.S.A and made in Japan' were evaluated favorable in instrumental factor, whereas 'made in Hong Kong' had the least favorable attitude in every attribute factor. 3) The uniqueness and good quality of imported apparel appeared to be the most strong variable in predicting consumer attitude toward each country-of-origin. 4) The attitude toward country of origin was different according to sex and age.
Study objectives are: 1) to investigate the difference in consumer perceptions of the model's image and physical attractiveness according to advertising model types; 2) to explore the effect of the difference between the model's image and the consumer's self image, the difference between the model's image and the brand's image, and the physical attractiveness of the model on attitude toward the advertising model; and 3) to explore the effect of attitude toward the advertising model on attitude toward the advertisement. A total of 306 female consumers over the age of 45 participated in experiments with advertisement stimuli for a senior apparel brand. Results showed a significant difference in the model's images and physical attractiveness according to each model type. The consumer's attitude toward the advertising model was determined by physical attractiveness of the model, not by the difference between model's image and the consumers' self-image, nor by the difference between the model's image and brand image. Attitude toward advertisements was determined by attitude toward the advertising model. The findings imply that advertising models of a senior apparel brand can be selected based on the physical attractiveness of the model. Consumers do not consider whether the model's image fits well with their self-images or the brand's image when building an attitude toward the advertising model, and this precedes the consumer's attitude toward the advertisement. These results can be used as guidelines to select appropriate models for advertisements of senior apparel brands.
The purposes of this study were to identify the overall levels of consumer problem, consumer competencies and purchase pattern of urban low-income consumers and to examine the factors affecting the consumer problem and the subareas-market environment problem(MEP) and transaction relation problem(TRP). The related factors, that is, independent variables were competencies-related factors(consumption-oriented attitude, attitude on consumerism, consumer knowledge), purchase pattern-related factors (search pattern, credit pattern, peddler pattern) and socio-demorgraphic factors(age, educational level, family size). For this purpose, a survey was conducted by interview using questionaires on 198 homemakers that lived in the poor areas of Seoul. Statistics used for data analysis were Frequency Distribution, Percentile, Mean, Pearson's Correlation, One-way ANOVA, Scheffe-test, Breakdown and Multiple Classification Analysis. Major findings were as follows: 1) In the level of consum r problem were in the middle level and the level of MEP were higher than that of TRP. The attitude on consumption-orientation was so negative, while attitude on consumerism was positive. The level of consumer knowledge was in the middle level. The urban low-income consumers searched a little and depended on credit and peddler in the low level. 2) Consumer problem perceived by urban low-income consumers differed significantly according to attitude on consumerism, credit pattern, monthly charge of peddler purchase. The MEP depended on attitude on consumerism and monthly charge of peddler purchase, and the TRP was affected by credit pattern and attitude on consumerism. Resulting from MCA, the most influencial variable was attitude on consumerism and credit pattern in the consumer problem, and attitude on consumerism in the MEP, and credit pattenr in the TRP.

Consumer cluster were classified into four groups: positive congruity(G1), positive incongruity(G2), negative congruity(G3), negative incongruity(G4). The result are as follows: G1 had high impulse. After Impulse-buying in a negative consumer situation they had negative attitude. G2 tends to do Impulse-buying a lot in a negative consumer situation. G3 had low impulse. After impulse-buying in a negative consumer situation they had both positive and negative attitude. After impulse-buying, G4 had negative and they tend to do a pure impulse buying in a negative consumer situation. As a result, the buying-impulse could cause the impulse-buying.
The goal of this study was to determine the effect of social responsibility characteristics and consumer attitude on consumer purchasing intention. And we used survey result data from 400 adults (200 males and 200 females) aged between 20 and 50 years for our research sample. Also, this study aims to look at the purchasing intention based on Fishbein's attitude model, in order to predict consumer purchasing behaviors on the products made by corporations that have good social responsibility. By using consumer consciousness of social responsibility and Consumer assessment on corporations' social responsibility, this study also intends to examine the ultimate effects on the intention. The following is a summary of the main results and suggestions. First, less than 30 percent of all consumers have experienced education on social responsibility, which is significantly low. Consumers' education experience had no effects on consumer purchasing intention. Consumers' education experience on social responsibility is surely related to purchasing intention, but gives no meaningful relations from the actual proof analysis, which is because of the problems of current consumer education programs. Government and official institutions, corporations, consumer groups should provide more educational opportunities than broadcast media, internet, school, and printed media. Second, according to the analysis result on Consumer consciousness of social responsibility, the assessment scores on social contribution and environmental protection are relatively lower than on consumer protection and energy resource saving. They tend to focus more on social responsibility related to individual interest rather than broader social responsibility as a member of society. Third, consumers have a positive attitude about corporation and its products made by corporations that have good social responsibility. Fourth, the most contributing factor on consumer purchasing intention is corporate consumer attitude. The next is product consumer attitude, Consumer consciousness of social responsibility, and Consumer assessment on corporations' social responsibility.
