  • The construction liability type CM has been introduced in the form of a pilot project through public institutions since 2017 since it was introduced in the term of construction responsibility type construction project management in the Basic Law of Construction Industry in 2011 with the aim of improving the constitution of the Korean construction industry and strengthening global competitiveness. Through the introduction of construction-responsible CM, the government intends to change the paradigm of the overall construction industry, including design and construction, construction costs, disputes between stakeholders, and transparency of business. In this regard, the study aims to compare and analyze the evaluation methods on the bidding guide that public institutions (LH) are currently using to select companies in order to lay the foundations for successful construction of construction-responsible CM ordering methods.

공연시설 객석공간의 단면유형 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Section Type Characteristic of the Audience's Space in Performing Facilities)

  • In the viewing of public performance arts, it needs to make space construction appropriate for performance purposes, because the section type has an effect on audience's inspection. Therefore, this study researches the intentional characteristics and comprehends the relationship between correlation factors to influence on section type of audience space in performance facilities. In addition to, this study comes under fundamental research to propose the course of standard plan, accord with diverse requirement, in the special performance facilities which will be built up. The results as following; 1) The factors that influence the section type of the audience's space in performing facilities are divided as two elements. The first element is construction of space, viewing environment, and the second element is visual characteristic, and acoustic characteristic. 2) The section type are classified as six types, A-type(Flated type), B-type(Sloped type), C-type(Gabled type), D-type(Arched type), E-type(Reverse arched type), and F-type(Reverse sloped type). 3) Characteristics are deduced by the section type, construction of space and viewing environment are restricted by the characteristics of the section type.

조경시공현장 안전관리 항목에 관한 연구 (A Study on Safety Management Indicators for Landscape Construction Field)

  • Research activities and discussions on specialized areas reflecting the specificity of landscape construction are necessary. Therefore, this study was conducted with the purpose of presenting basic data for efficient field management by deriving items necessary for safety management in landscape construction fields through experts' opinions. A survey was conducted using Delphi analysis to derive "management items" and "safety management items according to landscape type" for landscape construction field safety for a total of 15 landscape construction specialists. The survey results showed that four top items were derived from the "management items" for the safety of landscape construction fields; they include: "safety and health management organization and education," "industrial safety and health management expenses," "payment of personal protection," and "establishment of safety measures." In addition, two to five items for each higher item appeared and resulted in a total of 13 lower items. Personnel, organization, budget, etc. for safety management are always required in the field, and the monitoring part of whether these elements are working was also taken up as a management item. In the "Management items according to each landscape construction" a total of eight landscape type were distinguished, they include: 'Reinforced concrete work', 'Masonry work', 'Plaster's work', 'Waterproof work', 'Stone masonry work', 'Pavement work', 'Facilities work', and 'Planting work'. Furthermore, two to seven sub-items for each construction type were derived, and a total of 35 management items were presented.

조강형 재료를 사용한 초조강 콘크리트의 적용성 평가 (Evalution of Practial Application of high early Strength Concrete using Early strength type material)

  • This test investigates early strength and durability of concrete using early strength type materials(cement, Polycarboxylate acid). The goal of this test is to secure the strength of 5.0 MPa in 12 hours early age and strength of 14 MPa for 24 hours correspondingly. This type of admixtures, concrete curing temperature, amount of binder and other concrete properties were confirmed by experimental factors. Comparing outcomes from two cases on using early strength type materials and common materials resulted in reducing of costs and shortening of the construction period, that determined the economical benefits of using early strength materials in construction.

구체방수와 침투성방수의 방수성능 비교에 대한 실험적 연구 (An experimental study on performance comparison of waterproof concrete using admixture and penetrability waterproof admixture of concrete)

  • We could see that, the thinner the retaining wall is, the more advantageous Premixed Agent Type Waterproof method is in the aspect of economic efficiency. The reason is because, in the case of Premixed Agent Type Waterproof method, the thicker the retaining wall is, the higher the construction cost increases due to increase in the material quantity required which increases in proportion to the area in the case of Premixed Agent Type Waterproof method. We could see that, the thinner the retaining wall is, the more inferior the economic efficiency of Infiltration Type Waterproof method is to that of Premixed Agent Type Waterproof method, as, in the case of Infiltration Type Waterproof method, the quantity of material required is fixed in proportion to the area. Consequently, we concluded that Premixed Agent Type Waterproof method is economically advantageous up to the wall thickness of 700 mm and Infiltration Type Waterproof from 800 mm.

  • Planning/planning stage Construction cost prediction is very important. In particular, flexible thinking is required to predict the construction cost by reflecting rapid market changes and current conditions. Therefore, in this study, we tried to consider the process for calculating the construction cost of an apartment house in a more accurate planning/planning stage. First, cases were collected based on the classification system by construction type. Second, the construction cost was predicted using the case-based reasoning technique. Third, the composition ratio by construction type of the most similar case was applied to the derived construction cost. Finally, the construction cost was predicted based on practical corrections reflecting the market and field conditions.

건축행위 유형별 필지의 공간적 특성 비교연구 (A Comparative Study on Spatial Characteristics of Parcel by Type of Building Construction)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the spatial characteristics of the parcels in which building construction occurred. In recent, urban development patterns in Korea have been shifting from the past. Small-scale development at parcel level is becoming more important in accordance with individual location needs in the low-growth era unlike public lead large-scale urban development in the rapid growth period. Therefore, it is necessary to study the spatial characteristics of the parcels where small-scale development takes place for future urban development management. This study used the chi square independence test, t-test and ANOVA (analysis of variance) to identify the spatial characteristics. The results of the study show that there is a spatial characteristics difference not only between building construction and non-building construction parcels, but also by type of building construction. The parcel where the building construction occurred have a higher proportion in detached house, major commercial districts, district unit planning areas, and commercial areas. In addition, it is caused by parcels, which are large scale and economically valuable, and are influenced by traffic factors such as urban centers and subway accessibility. As a result of each type of building construction, the parcels where the building use change occurred have spatial characteristic difference compared to other building construction, while the spatial characteristics are similar between the new construction/extension and new construction/extension with change of use. Based on this results, it will be possible to identify areas with high demand for small-scale development in the future and to utilize them for planning management of urban development. Furthermore, it will be possible to manage development demand by type of building construction, and to prepare differentiated plans considering the appropriateness of development plan, availability of infrastructure, and harmony with surrounding environment.

베리-허핀달 지수를 활용한 해외건설의 다각화 전략 (Diversification Strategies of Overseas Construction using the Berry-Herfindahl Index)

  • 본 연구는 베리-허핀달 지수를 활용한 글로벌 주요 국가의 해외건설 지역별 및 공종별 다각화 및 다변화 지수를 분석하였다. 분석결과, 글로벌 설계 및 시공기업의 해외비중이 높고, 공종별 및 지역별 다각화 정도가 높은 국가들은 유럽 선진 국가들이 대부분을 차지하고 있다. 한국은 시공기업의 공종별 전문화를 통한 다각화를 추진하고 있고, 설계기업은 공종별 및 지역별로 전문화 및 일부 지역에 편중되어 있다. 향후에는 한국의 글로벌 건설기업은 선진국과 같이 해외사업 지역 다변화 및 공종 다각화로 해외경쟁력을 강화할 필요가 있다.

Survey of Korean CM Contracts for Current Status and Future Direction: Based on 1997 to 2013 Statistics

  • As domestic construction investment has been gradually reduced, expanding overseas construction is one of the most important issues for Korean construction companies. Among these issues, strategies for overseas CM services have widely been discussed, because the CM services have features of high growth potential and value-added area when compared with other construction sectors. Therefore, recent efforts focus on further development in advanced CM capabilities and expansion to overseas market. However, there has been lack of quantitative research to investigate current status and future direction of CM industry. In this sense, this research investigated what CM has achieved for the past 17years (between 1997 and 2013) and what CM should accomplish for future strategies. The purpose of this research is to statistically analyze total of 2,983 CM service contracts over the past 17 years published in KISCON (Knowledge Information System of Construction Industry) in order to examine current status of CM industry in terms of market type, contract size, commodity type, and owner's type. Based on this research, it is expected to suggest for future strategies and development directions from the CM industry perspective that could provide quantitative analyses, improve current CM statistics systems and strengthen the competitiveness in international CM market.

  • The concrete structure hasn't perfect waterproofing performance but if it doesn't have a joint part that could isolate a permeability. Concrete structure(communication tunnel and underground structure) has an expansion joint and construction joint. There are a lot of joint type after construction or expansion, shrinkage, vibration, over load, performance of decline etc.. they offer a water of way by variety change. In this reason, It carries in effect a waterproofing work for the concrete structure of waterproofing. but the structure has a behavior that cause a problem by waterproofing layer of damage, heaving phenomenon, temperature of shrinkage. In this study, we will estimate a field of application for Sealer of injection type for leakage maintenance of construction standard on the waterproofing performance.
