Various studies are being actively conducted to show that the real-time visualization technology that combines BIM (Building Information Modeling) and AR (Augmented Reality) helps to increase construction management decision-making and processing efficiency. However, when large-capacity BIM data is projected into AR, there are various limitations such as data transmission and connection problems and the image cut-off issue. To improve the high efficiency of visualizing, a mesh optimization algorithm based on the k-nearest neighbors (KNN) classification framework to reconstruct BIM data is proposed in place of existing mesh optimization methods that are complicated and cannot adequately handle meshes with numerous boundaries of the 3D models. In the proposed algorithm, our target BIM model is optimized with the Unity C# code based on triangle centroid concepts and classified using the KNN. As a result, the algorithm can check the number of mesh vertices and triangles before and after optimization of the entire model and each structure. In addition, it is able to optimize the mesh vertices of the original model by approximately 56 % and the triangles by about 42 %. Moreover, compared to the original model, the optimized model shows no visual differences in the model elements and information, meaning that high-performance visualization can be expected when using AR devices.
This study empirically analyzed how the elements of entrepreneurship and the fear of entrepreneurial failure influence entrepreneurial intention with each other in a situation that encourages startups. In particular, the moderating effect of fear of entrepreneurial failure was verified by dividing the fear of entrepreneurial failure into three sub-variables: fear of financial loss, fear of psychological loss, and fear of career loss. As a result, it was found that proactiveness and risk-taking had a positive effect on entrepreneurial intention, but innovativeness did not. Fear of entrepreneurial failure(all of sub-variables) was found to have no significantly moderating effect on the relationship between entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial intention. Therefore it seemed to have a negative effect as a independent variable. However, considering the regression coefficient(β) is positive or negative depending on the interaction terms of the sub-variables of fear of entrepreneurial failure and the entrepreneurship, it could be inferred that the moderating effect could be positive or negative. Based on this research results, a sophisticated entrepreneurship education program to inspire entrepreneurship and lower the fear of failure is needed in order to promote startups. And at the same time, a social safety net construction plan to reduce the fear of entrepreneurial failure needs to be prepared.

Today, the world is experiencing a variety of natural disasters due to the extreme weather. Drought that occurred throughout Southeast Asia from February to May 2016 is also a form of abnormal climate. As a result of this drought, five countries, including Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos and Myanmar, faced food shortages, food shortages, as well as rice yields for export. In this study, remote sensing technique was applied to the vicinity of Tonlé Sap, the largest lake in Southeast Asia, to quantitatively analyze the damage caused by drought. As a result, the change of land cover caused a drastic decrease in the water system (132.582㎢) and greenery (706.937㎢) in February 2016, and the reduced water system and greenery changed to dry land and paddy field. It was also found that the temperature rise of 6℃ ~ 8 ℃ compared to the previous year due to the drought from February to April 2016 due to the change of the surface temperature. And it was found that the function of the lake was deteriorated in April due to continuous drought.

The propulsion control device of an electric railway vehicle is a key main component corresponding to an engine of an automobile, and a device for controlling this is a device called a GDU (Gate Drive Unit). Also, when the frequency of failure of the propulsion control system was analyzed, the nonconformity ratio of GDU was the highest. GDU was not able to access core technologies due to the introduction of foreign products, and there were general problems with overall maintenance activities due to discontinuation of GDU of the manufacturer. The GDU has reached the end of its life with 23 to 14 years of long-term use.In order to solve these problems, this study was designed to identify the proper life span by analyzing compatible GDU's acquisition and failure, and to improve the existing system of maintenance focusing on health inspection. Maintenance of the components with a short life span compared to the entire service life is essential. Most foreign parts introduced at the beginning of the construction are not replaced due to technical problems or long-term operation. However, due to the characteristics of railway vehicles with a long life span of more than 25 years, it is necessary to maintain them for a long period of time. The study should be more concrete and empirical. The replacement type GDU of capacitors was able to easily measure the life of the capacitance by removing the capacitor modules, measure the life span of each unit test, and accurately perform preventive maintenance of the capacitor.

The purpose of this study is to propose a Busan tourism industry in which the 2016 OECD Tourism policy and ICT convergence platform are applied. OECD proposed 3 policies to promote the tourism industry: First, to maintain the competitiveness of the tourism industry as well as improve its efficiency and sustainability, second, to establish a seamless traffic system, and third, to build a response to the sharing economy. Centering on the OECD's three policies, we propose the developmental possibilities of tourism in Busan. At the same time, we suggest the necessity to build an ICT convergence platform that will help foster the industry. In building an ICT convergence platform, we especially focus on the necessity of: 1. Sharing and creating experience-based interactive contents on the software side, and 2. Developing high quality user experience (UX) and providing a data analysis-based customized service on the hardware side. In addition, we insist on the establishment of the Tourism Promotion Agency for the continuous performance and management of Busan tourism industry. The study ultimately suggests that the construction of ICT convergence platform based on OECD tourism policy can result in the expected outcomes of high effects with low cost for both consumers and suppliers related to the tourism industry.

Furnishing traffic safety information can contribute to providing hazard warnings to drivers, thereby avoiding crashes. A smart road lighting platform that instantly recognizes road conditions using various sensors and provides appropriate traffic safety information has therefore been developed. This study analyzes the short-term traffic safety improvement effects of the smart road lighting's tunnel traffic safety information service using surrogate safety measures (SSM). Individual driving behavior was investigated by applying the vehicle trajectory data collected with RADAR in the Anin Avalanche 1 and 2 tunnel sections in Gangneung. Comparing accumulated speeding, speed variation, time-to-collision, and deceleration rate to avoid the crash before and after providing traffic safety information, all SSMs showed significant improvement, indicating that the tunnel traffic safety information service is beneficial in improving traffic safety. Analyzing potential crash risk in the subdivided tunnel and access road sections revealed that providing traffic safety information reduced the probability of traffic accidents in most segments. The results of this study will be valuable for analyzing the short-term quantitative effects of traffic safety information services.

This study is about the story of 'Saemi', existing in the Sacheon Alluvial fan area. Saemi is a local word for Dumbeong, which is the traditional water irrigation facilities in this area that could be formed according to the geographical characteristics of a Alluvial fan site. In the meantime, although Saemi has been an important source of water, related research has been mainly done from an ecological point of view. Accordingly, the researcher paid attention to the functional aspects of Saemi itself, grasped its location, distribution status, and usage including the construction method, and considered its intrinsic value through classification and characteristic analysis of Saemi. As a result of five field surveys from September 2021 to October 2022, 129 Saemies remained in the Sacheon alluvial fan area. According to the structure and shape, Saemi could be divided into basic type, complex type, and buried type. The basic type was subdivided into bucket-type and stairs-type along with the complex type, and the buried type was subdivided into all buried-type and some buried-type. Saemies were mainly distributed at the distal end of the Sacheon alluvial fan site, individual Saemies were built on farmland, and common Saemies were usually built along roadsides adjacent to villages. The reason why the Saemies are concentrated at the distal end is the geographical characteristics of the alluvial fan where the water underflows. Saemi was an important multifunctional water supply source equivalent to the main water source for people at the distal end of the pond who did not receive a stable supply of water from the reservoir. Saemi was at the center of the underground water irrigation network agricultural system in the Sacheon alluvial fan area according to the principles of 'bbaeim(drop out)' and 'gaepim(pooling)' It has provided a foundation for establishing itself as an appropriate technology in this area. Such Saemi contributed to the rural landscape and agricultural biodiversity through its own system and served as a public interest function. It is necessary to know, conserve, manage, and continuously utilize the value of this Saemi as an agricultural heritage.

Shield TBM, since it was employed for Suyoungman Bay riverbed tunnel of Busan Subway in 2000,has been increasingly adopted in Korea, and in line with growing popularity, the study on Shield TBM has been expanded. However the studies mostly focus on ground condition in a bid to estimate the advancement rate and develop the model for calculating the excavation efficiency, whereas the efforts to analyze the cause of delay and to develop the improvement measures have been neglected. Thus the studies were mostly intended to analyze the schedule slippage focusing on ground conditions, while the study on schedule behind due to equipment itself and related facilities have yet to be attempted in earnest. This study hence was aimed at evaluating the troubles and schedule slippage caused by mechanical elements such as shield TBM equipment and tools and ground conditions, making use of FMEA approach so as to analyze the risk of schedule delay by such elements, thereby proposing the preventive measures to deal with high-risk factors. So, this study suggest the solution to highly ranked trouble factor for the purpose of enhance the efficiency on Shield TBM.

This study presents the methodology to link with aerial photos for advancing the accuracy of topographic survey data that is used to calculate water volume in urban stream. First, GIS spatial interpolation technique as Inverse Distance Weight (IDW) and Kriging was applied to construct the terrain morphology to the sand-bar and grass area using cross-sectional survey data, and also validation point data was used to estimate the accuracy of created topographic data. As the result of comparison, IDW ($d^{-2}_{ij}$, 2nd square number) in Sand-bar area and Kriging Spherical model in grass area showed more efficient results in the construction of topographic data of river boundary. But the differences among interpolation methods are very slight. Image classification method, Minimum Distance Method (MDM) was applied to extract sand-bar and grass area that are located to river boundary efficiently and the elevation value of extracted layers was allocated to the water level point value. Water volume with topographic data from aerial photos shows the advanced accuracy of 13% (in sand-bar) and 12% (in grass) compared to the water volume of original terrain data. Therefore, terrain analysis method in river linking with aerial photos is efficient to the monitoring about sand-bar and grass area that are located in the downstream of Dam in flooding season, and also it can be applied to calculate water volume efficiently.

As part of study to develop LRFD (Load and Resistance Factor Design) codes for foundation structures in Korea, resistance factors for static bearing capacity of driven steel pipe piles were calibrated in the framework of reliability theory. The 57 data sets of static load tests and soil property tests conducted in the whole domestic area were collected and these load test piles were sorted into two cases: SPT N at pile tip less than 50, SPT N at pile tip equal to or more than 50. The static bearing capacity formula and the Meyerhof method using N values were applied to calculate the expected design bearing capacities of the piles. The resistance bias factors were evaluated for the two static design methods by comparing the representative measured bearing capacities with the expected design values. Reliability analysis was performed by two types of advanced methods: the First Order Reliability Method (FORM), and the Monte Carlo Simulation (MCS) method using resistance bias factor statistics. The target reliability indices are selected as 2.0 and 2.33 for group pile case and 2.5 for single pile case, in consideration of the reliability level of the current design practice, redundancy of pile group, acceptable risk level, construction quality control, and significance of individual structure. Resistance factors of driven steel pipe piles were recommended based on the results derived from the First Order Reliability Method and the Monte Carlo Simulation method.
