Development of Check-list for BIM Based Architectural Design Quality Check (BIM 기반 건축설계 품질검토를 위한 체크리스트 개발 연구)

  • The construction industry consists of various and massive architectural information as an architectural process includes a variety of design stages with cooperation of many disciplines. Particularly, architectural information is generated and managed through the life cycle of a building, from conceptual design stage to the construction and maintenance. A Building Information Model (BIM) serves as a shared knowledge resource for information about a facility forming a reliable basis for decisions during its life-cycle from inception onward. BIM technology accomplished quantitative development being utilized in various disciplines. However, it is necessary to develop environment and requirement for qualitative improvement of BIM based project. Particularly, requirement is very important for architectural design evaluations. The purpose of this study is to develop and apply of quality control check-list for improving the quality of architectural design in BIM environments. To achieve this purpose, the authors have investigated case study for open BIM data quality control (software, guideline and application case) and classified quality control targets according to physical/logical quality control and data quality. In addition, the authors have defined open BIM based quality control process and developed quality control check-list. Finally, the authors have developed automatic quality check system using requirements for efficient quality control based on open BIM.

Hierarchical Service Binding and Resource Allocation Design for Context-based IoT Service in MEC Networks (상황인지 기반 IoT-MEC 서비스를 위한 계층적 서비스 바인딩 및 자원관리 구조 설계)

  • In this paper, we presents a new service binding and resource management model for context based services in mobile edge computing (MEC) networks. The proposed control is composed of two layers: MEC service bindng control layer (MCL) and user context control layer (UCL). The MCL manages service binding construction, resource allocation, and service policy construction from a system point of view; and the UCL manages real-time service adaptation using meta-objects. Through simulations, we confirmed that the proposed control offers enhanced throughput and content transfer time when it is compared to the legacy computing and control models. The proposed control model can be employed as a key component for the context based various internet-of-things (IoT) services in MEC environments.

  • Construction safety control system had improved constantly but the severity rate of injury don't reduced, safety level of construction don't progressed as usual. In order to reduce of the severity rate of injury safety control in site is important but it needs to improve form of system that introduce obligation of safety design and design safety appraisement, an effect use method of safety control cost. The safety control cost is problem that reduce than design cost accordance bidding rate and use a little safety facility cost compare with labor cost. This study tried reduce the severity rate of injury by propose effective improvement scheme through relevant problem analysis to the safety control cost and remove caution that the severity rate of injury don't reduced.

Study of Deep Learning Based Specific Person Following Mobility Control for Logistics Transportation (물류 이송을 위한 딥러닝 기반 특정 사람 추종 모빌리티 제어 연구)

  • In recent years, robots have been utilized in various industries to reduce workload and enhance work efficiency. The following mobility offers users convenience by autonomously tracking specific locations and targets without the need for additional equipment such as forklifts or carts. In this paper, deep learning techniques were employed to recognize individuals and assign each of them a unique identifier to enable the recognition of a specific person even among multiple individuals. To achieve this, the distance and angle between the robot and the targeted individual are transmitted to respective controllers. Furthermore, this study explored the control methodology for mobility that tracks a specific person, utilizing Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) and Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) control techniques. In the PID control method, a genetic algorithm is employed to extract the optimal gain value, subsequently evaluating PID performance through simulation. The SLAM method involves generating a map by synchronizing data from a 2D LiDAR and a depth camera using Real-Time Appearance-Based Mapping (RTAB-MAP). Experiments are conducted to compare and analyze the performance of the two control methods, visualizing the paths of both the human and the following mobility.

  • Safety management is the most important factor in the construction industry. If the construction company don't control the risk, it causes the accident which give the company fatal loss. According to the Korea industrial safety analysis reports, the 25.72% of the disasters are from the construction industry, and the 13.6% construction disasters are caused by not properly using the safety gears. Therefore, this study is to investigate the Wearing Safety Gear by Occupational Classification and the Satisfaction in the Construction Field. The results are ; Carpenters are dissatisfied with the safety shoes and belt, re-bar workers are dissatisfied with the safety helmet and shoes, Concrete workers are dissatisfied with the safety helmet and goggles.

  • This technology is able to construct with hardening UREPALT adhesives and TPO URE-Sheet simultaneously using automatic equipments. the benefit of this construction method is that The layer of waterproofing is uniform and defect of construction would be reduced because of no construction joints between UREPALT adhesives and TPO URE-Sheet. Furthermore, this new method could accomplish shortening of construction period, quality control and saving of labor costs. Also the non-exposure waterproofing method would be protected from fire and safe for workers without using a torch.

  • Rebar work takes up big proportion in a construction work. The current process of purchasing, cutting and election, and working of rebar induces a lot of loss in rebar. This study is focused on analyzing the problem and the present condition of the process from the calculating of rebar quantifies to the actual constructional stage through surveying those who have experience in the estimation department, or the construction site of a domestic construction company. Many reform measures such as diversification of standard(i.e., 8-meter)bar, calculation of rebar quantities and construction according to the rebar election drawing, expansion of accuracy in layout plan, thoroughness in examination of layout plan in advance, utilization of the worked material, systemization of rebar control(management), and a shift in attitude of the field(site) manager were proposed as the result of the survey.

Key Technologies for Super Tall Building Construction: Lotte World Tower

  • This paper addresses the key technologies for supertall building construction based on the Lotte World Tower project in Korea. First, the mega-mat foundation construction technologies are shown, including ultra-low heat concrete, heat of hydration control programs, and the logistics plan. Then, high strength concrete technologies of 50~80 MPa are introduced and discussed within the context of the highest pumping record in Korea at 514.25 meters. Structural design concepts of gravity load and lateral force resistance systems are introduced, along with surveying systems using GNSS and temporary installation plans of special heavy equipment like tower cranes, hoists, and high pressure concrete pumps. If it is possible to coordinate these key technologies and others, optimizing for the building's design and construction, supertall building construction can be successfully completed.

  • Recently, a structure has been larger and higher under the improvement of construction technique. So, a concrete constructions that a mat foundation thickness of structure is over 80cm have been many. Also, because of the reason high strength concrete, the matter of thermal crack have become an important task to be solved absolutely. In a cause a thermal crack occurrence, there used, mixture of concrete, construction and so forth. In this study, we executed temperature and stress analysis of mat foundation to know the effect the construction condition a thermal crack of mat foundation. And we evaluated quantitatively about the occurrence possibility of thermal crack using the hydration heat analysis program. By using of this analysis technique, will can control skilfully the quality of a mat foundation in advance.

  • Construction safety should be considered prior to any other factors to execute construction projects smoothly and reduce the social expenses. Especially, the safety education is very important to the lives of labors and to control the four resources such as time, money, quality and safety. On this research, the present situation and related regulations of safety education are reviewed and the education contents and realities of the safety empirical education places are surveyed. Also questionnaire to education lecturers is performed to understand the satisfaction level of the education programs of the education places. Finally, the improvement directions are suggested to inspire trainees based on the results of the research.
