  • The high temperature deformation of mechanically alloyed Al-Ti-Si alloy (Al-9.64wt% Ti-1.56wt% Si) was investigated by performing constant load compression creep tests over the temperature range of $673^\circC$K to $723^\circC$K. From the calculation based on the modified power law creep equation for dispersion strengthened alloy, the true creep activation energy, was 176kJ/mole, the true stress exponent was 4.9. Considering the value of activation energy, stress exponent, the shape of primary creep region, it could be concluded that creep deformation in the MA Al-Ti-Si alloy is controlled by dislocation climb.

  • The metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor(MOSFET) has undergone many changes in the last decade in response to the constant demand for increased speed, decreased power, and increased packing density. This paper has compared Micro-Tec with ISE-TCAD. This paper investigates LDD MOSFET using two simulators. Bias condition is applied to the devices with gate lengths 180nm. We have presented MOSF ET's characteristics such as I-V characteristic, electric field. and compared with Micro-Tec and ISE-TCAD.

  • In this paper, the waveguide slot array antenna which is capable of wide beam steering and dual polarization is designed for an X band synthetic aperture radar. In order to improve the restriction of beam steering range and to remove the butterfly lobes, a typical waveguide slot array antenna has been modified. To implement dual polarization, rod excited waveguide slot elements and ridge waveguide slot elements are alternately arranged. Location of slots, inclination of rod and offset distance of slots are determined on using array characteristic and conductance constant with radiating power on slots. The designed antenna is manufactured and measured with Near-filed measurement method.

  • In this papers, an S-band oscillator of the low phase noise property using a miniaturized micro-strip hairpin shaped ring resonator is presented The substrate has a dielectric constant $\epsilon_\gamma$=3.5, a thickness h=0.508 mm, and loss tangent $tan\delta$=0.002. A designed and fabricated oscillator shows low phase noise performance of 99. 71 dBc/Hz at 100 KHz offset frequency and of output power 19.584 dBm at center frequency 2.450 GHz. This circuit was fabricated with hybrid technique, but can be fully compatible with the MMIC due to its entirely planar structure.

  • This paper proposes a programmable low pass filter(LPF) to estimate stator flux for speed sensorless stator flux orientation control of induction motors. The programmable LPF is developed to solve the dc drift problem associated with a pure integrator and a LPF with fixed pole. The pole of the programmable LPF is located far from the origin to decrease the time constant as speed increases. The programmable LPF has the phase and the magnitude compensator to exactly estimate stator flux in a wide speed range. So, the drift problem is much improved and the stator flux is exactly estimated in the wide speed range.

  • This paper presents a method for on-line estimation of rotor time constant of induction motor. The proposed method applies a model reference adaptive system(MRAS) using rotor flux vector. The MRAS consists of two independent observers to estimate the rotor flux vector; one based on voltage equations of rotor flux vector, the other based on current equations of them. The MRAS utilizes concept of auxiliary variables to normalize observer output and decrease high-frequency components of its input. Experimental results verify the validity and usefulness of proposed method

  • This paper presents the electronic ballast for the metal halide lamp with free voltage input and implemented for CDM-T[150W] lamp. HID lamps have a good color rendition, long life and good focusing capability but they have fickers by acoustic resonance when driven at high frequency. To reduce the acoustic resonance phenomena, the electronic ballast was designed for high frequency operation with the constant frequency sinusoidal wave of 75[kHz]. Finally, the experimental results on the ballast of CDM-T [150W]metal halide lamp with the propose methods are discussed.

  • This paper discover another boost vectors in high modulation index In steady states, modulation index of converter operation is normally $0.7\~0.8[p.u]$. Even though zero vectors are not imposed, DC-Link voltage is constant because 3-level boost convert has another boost vectors. and this paper proposes the analysis and the comparison for NPC and H-Bridge converter. It proposed the calculation method for the voltage ripple and charging current of each capacitor and deals with voltage balance problems of each link capacitor they are associated with the switching state, the position of reference voltage vector. Simulation and analysis are used in order to prove validity of the proposed methods.

  • An identification method of induction motor parameters such as rotor time constant and mutual inductance at standstill condition is discussed assuming that stator resistance and leakage has already been obtained applying two different DC voltage and single phase voltage to the induction motor, respectively. This proposed scheme is implemented by means of Model Reference Adaptive Control (MRAC) technique, which uses a rotor flux equation in voltage model as a reference model and one in current model and is demonstrated through experiment.

  • This paper combines the adaption of MRAS with the ability of NN for better modeling of nonlinear systen It presents an MRAS using an NN in the adaption mechanism. The technique is applied to a IPMSM drive. The torque constant and stator resistance variations on the speed and position estimations over a wide speed range has been studied. The NN estimators are able to track the varying parameter of different speeds with consistent performance. The validity of the proposed estimator is confirmed by the operating characteristics controlled by neural networks control.
