Global natural vegetation mapping (GNVM) system was developed for estimating potential forest area of the globe. With input of monthly mean temperature and monthly precipitation observed at weather stations, the system spherically interpolates them into 1°×1°grid points on a blobe, converts them into vegetation types, and produces a potential vegetation map and a potenital vegetation area. The spherical interpolation was based on negative exponential function fed from the constant radius stations with oval weighing method which is latitudinally elongated weighing in temperature and longitudinally elongated weighing in precipitation. The temperature values were corrected for altitude by applying a linear lapse-rate (0.65℃ / 100m) with reference to a built-in digital terrain map of the globe. The vegetation classification was based upon Koppen’s sKDICe. The potential forest area is estimated for 6.96 Gha (46.24%) of the global land area (15.05 Gha).
Background: The purpose of this study is to have examined the influence on the blood circulation by comparing the differences between stimulating the sympathetic ganglion and the muscle group among the stimulation variables in interferential current stimulation. Method: The object of the study is the twenties(M=8, F=12), who are in great condition and have no pathological report for the blood circulation influence. The intensity of the inferential current stimulation is the medium degree, 100 bps constant current, which is the comfort and degree to confirm the muscle contraction. The areas stimulated are the stellate ganglion area in the seventh cervical vertebrae and the forearm muscle area. Results: We have made sure that there is no change in blood pressure and pulse and that the change in the skin temperature occurred highly. Conclusion: In considering the change of the blood circulation in case of stimulation area by the inferential current stimulation, we have seen that stimulating the sympathetic ganglion area is more effective than stimulating muscle area directly.

As the drone industry has grown greatly in recent years, drones are being used or developed in many industrial fields such as image shooting, pesticide application, delivery service, food delivery etc. In this paper, therefore, we developed a program that takes a user's desired area at a certain height using a camera-equipped drone and obtains the area of the zone the user wants through image processing. The first user selects an area or a path. Afterwards, the drone flies and takes pictures, and then measures the user's needs. A digital image taken at a constant height and with the same resolution is composed of pixels, the area can be calculated easily if we know the number of pixels in the zone the user wants. Particularly, it is easy to calculate the area of various shaped zones, not terrain shapes such as triangles and squares. In addition, the total area of specific places of the entire zone can be calculated. With the program of this paper, anyone can easily calculate the area of the place the user wants using a drone rather than calculating the area through difficult formulas or specialized equipment.
Deformation is found by an external force in the rock which has internal stress. So, deformation is increased in time what is stressed under constant load. Rock materials collapse suddenly in a long period when the creep rate increases slightly. So mechanical deformability of the ground is an essential condition for determination of long term safety in structures. The result of analysis in 40%, 50%, 60%, 70% of constant load in creep test, strain velocity constants $\alpha$ and ${\gamma}$ increase with load increasement. Griggs equation is more exact than Li and Xia, Singh equation, and G$_2$of a flow constant by Burger's model decreases with stress increasement, but η$_1$,η$_2$and G$_1$ manifest irregularly in this study.
This study was carried out to determine the effect of water control on Rice plan in warmer season(July~August). The results are summarized as follows; 1. Compared to ordinary watering methods, a constant irrigation method indicated a decrease in water temperature of $1.5^{\circ}C$. 2. In the plot of constant irrigation, there was an increase in the root system in general and an increase of root distribution near the surface in particular. The near surface root distribution under ordinary watering method shows about forty percent distribution. The constant irrigation method shows a near-surface root distribution of sixty-percent within a perimeter of five centimeters. 3. Under the contants irrigation method, there was an increase in length and area of the flag leaf. 4. The total nitrogen and silica content of leaf-bodies at maturing stage was greater when using the constant irrigation method. 5. There was an increase in the number of panicles and the number of spikelets when using the constant irrigation method. 6. The yield was remarkably increased with constant irrigation.
The main goal of this paper is to determine hydraulic properties and to predict drawdown for the efficient and stable development of groundwater in the Daejong-Chun area, North of Kyungsang-Do. Based on geological survey and analysis of well logging data conducted in 1991, it is found that the type of aquifer of this area is considered to be an anisotropic unconfined aquifer with saturated thickness of 19.8 m. In order to characterize this aquifer pumping test was conducted, and the resulting drawdown data were utilized for the analysis by applying both type curve matching technique and semi-log straight line method. As a result, the average specific yield of this aquifer is estimated as 32.3%, and the average ratio of $K_H$ to $K_V$ is only 2.7, which means that gravitational effect is not significant factor for this type of aquifer. For the validation of the estimated hydraulic properties, the analytical model which was developed with Newton-Raphson iteration procedure in this study, was employed to generate the drawdown. And, the resulting drawdown was compared against actual drawdown data and it shows the excellent matches. The actual drawdown data for 9 hours of pumping were used for history matching purposes and relatively satisfactory matches were achieved in this match. Then, the model was run by using the tuned parameters that are obtained during history matching stage, and the drawdown was predicted for the next 30 years of pumping with $3,000m^3/day$ of constant pumping rate. Its result indicates that the drawdown was stabilized as 1.41 m from 20 days with $3,000m^3/day$ of constant pumping rate, which is the required amount of water to be safely supplied to this area.

Heat transfer performance improvement by fin and groovs is studied for condensation of R-11 on integral-fin tubes. Eight tubes with trapczodially shaped integral-fins having fin density from 748 to 1654fpm(fin per meter) and 10, 30 grooves are tested. A plain tube having the same diameter as the finned tubes is also used for comparison. R-11 condensates at saturation state of 32 $^{\circ}C$ on the outside tube surface coded by inside water flow. All of test data are taken at steady state. The heat transfer loop is used for testing singe long tubes and cooling is pumped from a storage tank through filters and folwmeters to the horizontal test section where it is heated by steam condensing on the outside of the tubes. The pressure drop across the test section is measured by menas pressure gauge and manometer. The results obtained in this study is as follows : 1. Based on inside diameter and nominal inside area, overall heat transfer coefficients of finned tube are enhanced up to 1.6 ~ 3.7 times that of a plain tube at a constant Reynolds number. 2. Friction factors are up to 1.6 ~ 2.1 times those of plain tubes. 3. The constant pumping power ratio for the low integral-fin tubes increase directly with the effective area to the nominal area ratio, and with the effective area diameter ratio. 4. A tube having a fin density of 1299fpm and 30 grooves has the best heat transfer performance.
In order to properly evaluate the shear strength of reinforced concrete circular columns due to the transverse shear reinforcement, the average of fractions of forces generated along the circular transverse hoops across the shear failure plane in the loading direction is calculated. For this, the center-to-center diameter of circular transverse hoops. spacing and the crack angle measured to the column longitudinal axis are considered. Using these variables, an equation representing the effective section area of circular transverse shear steel is proposed. The study result shows that the constant parameter. used for the calculation of the effective section area of circular hoops over the last 10 years, should not universally be applied any more. The use of the constant parameter may not seriously do harm to the evaluation of shear strength for circular columns with non-seismically designed transverse hoop reinforcement, since it gives slightly conservative results. However. for well-confined circular columns with close spacing or circular steel jacketing. it gives about 20% overestimation of the shear capacity contributed by the transverse hoop steel.

[ $Epoxy/BaTiO_3$ ] composite embedded capacitor films (ECFs) were newly designed fur high dielectric constant and low tolerance (less than ${\pm}15\%$) embedded capacitor fabrication for organic substrates. In terms of material formulation, ECFs are composed of specially formulated epoxy resin and latent curing agent, and in terms of coating process, a comma roll coating method is used for uniform film thickness in large area. Dielectric constant of $BaTiO_3\;&\;SrTiO_3$ composite ECF is measured with MIM capacitor at 100 kHz using LCR meter. Dielectric constant of $BaTiO_3$ ECF is bigger than that of $SrTiO_3$ ECF, and it is due to difference of permittivity of $BaTiO_3\;and\;SrTiO_3$ particles. Dielectric constant of $BaTiO_3\;&\;SrTiO_3$ ECF in high frequency range $(0.5\~10GHz)$ is measured using cavity resonance method. In order to estimate dielectric constant, the reflection coefficient is measured with a network analyzer. Dielectric constant is calculated by observing the frequencies of the resonant cavity modes. About both powders, calculated dielectric constants in this frequency range are about 3/4 of the dielectric constants at 1 MHz. This difference is due to the decrease of the dielectric constant of epoxy matrix. For $BaTiO_3$ ECF, there is the dielectric relaxation at $5\~9GHz$. It is due to changing of polarization mode of $BaTiO_3$ powder. In the case of $SrTiO_3$ ECF, there is no relaxation up to 10GHz. Alternative material for embedded capacitor fabrication is $epoxy/BaTiO_3$ composite embedded capacitor paste (ECP). It uses similar materials formulation like ECF and a screen printing method for film coating. The screen printing method has the advantage of forming capacitor partially in desired part. But the screen printing makes surface irregularity during mask peel-off, Surface flatness is significantly improved by adding some additives and by applying pressure during curing. As a result, dielectric layer with improved thickness uniformity is successfully demonstrated. Using $epoxy/BaTiO_3$ composite ECP, dielectric constant of 63 and specific capacitance of 5.1nF/cm2 were achieved.

Most of block based stereo pair compression schemes utilize the constant block size and searching area size for all the stereo pairs to find the best matching block. However, it is not efficient to use the same block size and size of searching area to all the stereo pairs, since each stereo pair has different disparity. In this Paper, we propose a method to calculate the total disparity of stereo pairs, and show how to determine the size of the block and searching area which are applied for the block based compression of the stereo pairs.
